Got an Airave 3 last Friday and it works very well, however there is 1 issue I appear to be having.
I am sometimes getting duplicate texts (SMS) (2 or 3 of the same message). It appears to only be from Verizon users from my limited testing.
Anyone else noticing this??
I've had this on and off over the years with Sprint, it comes and goes

I was told the polar opposite by an 'end of the line' Sprint rep when I was trying to get upgraded to the AR3. He was pushing the MB and I told him based on what I'd read here that you could only have one or the other on an account, and he pointedly said verbatim, "That's not true at all", and after a brief/further discussion proceeded to set me up with an order for an MB before personally transferring me to the Airrave ordering dept. We'll see what happens down the line I suppose.
When I got my Magic Box, I had to return the Airrave that was dormant on my account

Incoming ASP544. Identical functionality to 545 except a different (inferior) WIFi module.
Isn't that just used for local diagnostics?

My biggest reservation is what happens to my existing plan and what happens to rates over the next couple years. Being in a place that has no HSI options, Sprint Unlimited Data has been great. While Sprint's network and coverage hasn't been the best, its acceptable and been getting better.
Outside of the coming 600Mhz spectrum, T-Mobile doesn't do anything to make me giddy about a merger, I see the reverse happening of T-Mobile getting access to a much larger footprint than their urban networks.

Yup, I got the update too. Saw an Android Police article about Verizon and T-Mobile getting updated, so I checked last night.
I don't expect any further updates

What type of discount?
Sell out inventory at cost or below to try and get as much cash as we can out of this debacle discount...
I'd dip into savings to snag one when that discount occurs

I was on the Test Drive on Nougat all summer, using my device as Wifi only with a cracked screen. Battery life isn't as great marshmellow, but still acceptable. I've been using the phone as my daily driver for a week now and its preformed very well. Only real issue I have is BT seems to break up more easily than my Nexus 6P. I have to keep the phone on my left side if its in a pocket or the audio gets choppy.

Something happened yesterday morning that caused some critical files on our server to be corrupted. IPBoard tried fixing code by hand, but kept finding a new undiscovered error after doing that. They ended up installing a new security upgrade over the site last night and that fixed the issue completely.
Glad it got fixed

Were the EX144 errors associated with the upgrade or other issues?

Randomly, found this morning that my Tab e had connected to the MB, first time ever. Too bad Sprint was having an outage at the same time.

My biggest question is which of these two will happen to get regulator approval
1. How much spectrum will new T-Mobint have to divest and who will it go to?
or
2. What terrible concessions will Big Red and the DeathStar get to keep them happy and further screw the industry?

Definitely something that I have missed the last year with the Nexus 6P

Do you have a miracast dongle ? When I use miracast on my Moto X using the amazon stick the screen keeps on. while playing video. I switched to chromecast, the user experience is way better. Im curious on the application.
Both of my TVs natively support miracast, I look for that in a television, so I stick to Samsung and LG. I don't have high speed internet at home, so I use my mobile data to stream, then miracast to have it on the big screen
-
So I've been back on the MXPE for 24 hours and I love and hate it I remember all the good things about the phone, used miracast last night for netflix, etc. Man to I miss fingerprint auth on the Nexus 6P, typing passwords sucks. I also miss Oreo, this thing is good with Nougat, but Oreo with the fill in API would allow Last Pass to pre-populate PWs for me.

Could be announced tomorrow...
QuoteRumors began to percolate early this month that Google and HTC were on the verge of agreeing to a deal that would let Google take over the struggling smartphone maker. Now that rumor is sounding all but inevitable as HTC has halted trading of its shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange pending a major announcement. However, the acquisition may not be as complete as the Moto deal in 2011.
It's late in the day on Wednesday in Taipei right now, and HTC shares won't begin trading on Thursday due to the upcoming announcement. The nature of that announcement isn't clear—it might not have anything to do with Google, but it's looking like a safe bet right now.

I'm taking my Tab E to Sprint to have it wiped and the OS reloaded from scratch. I can't find a tar for the QH2 build recently released. This is the last suggestion that MB support has.

I plugged it back in and speeds dropped but not to be below 1mbps like before. CINR was 8.3 and it was still connected to B41. Maybe the tower it is pulling from is at a distance. That would be my guess.
Other thought is that the donor site may have been over saturated from Macro network usage and the backhaul just couldn't keep up. We run into that a lot in Michigan.
