  1. The south burbs are far from completely covered, and it seems to have gotten worse. That's why I was wondering about a down tilt adjustment Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. I'm noticing a ton of LTE holes this past week. Places where that never was the case. When band 26 is readying for launch, do they aim the 25 antennae down more because they no longer need as much reach? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. *we'll. Come on, Sprint. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Chicago has PCS b block us cellular spectrum coming online. Signalcheck recognized it as b26. I got really excited for a minute earlier today. Looks like that spectrum will be using gci 03/04/05. It didn't say band 26 for gci 03, but did for 04/05 Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. That could be it. But the amount of drain just seems excessive. Maybe it will get better over time. I'm just starting to use it full time. It's been my home WiFi device for 2 weeks. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. Wi-Fi has been off all day. I think battery guru wakes it and checks your geographic location to see if you're at any of your spots to turn it on. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. I had 3g at my aunts house most of the day today. She lives in a bad spot, even with Chicagoland being so well covered. Even sitting here outdoors at the bar with solid LTE, its still dropping like crazy. How do you recalibrate the battery? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. All my processes are 10% or less other than screen Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. My battery is almost the worst in a phone I've ever seen. I'm stock with almost nothing running, and that snapdragon battery guru. It's like 1% a minute while using it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I had no data for a half hour on Friday night. There's a mixture of band 26/uscc spectrum implementation happening now. Good things (finally) happening in Chicago. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. Sprint is 100% done with builds in this market. Everything left is only backhaul related. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. As of now, any tower without LTE in Chicago are problematic. Simple as that. Plan b could always be microwave, but band 26 will fill those holes. As far as uscc spectrum, just look for those up/download channels in my screen shot, or (as it appears as of now) gci will be 03/04/05 where g block 25 is 00/01/02 and 26 is 9/a/b (I believe) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. I'm here with 3 other sprint customers. IPhone 5s, note 3, s4 mini are all on old spectrum. Only my Nexus is parked on it. I wonder what that's all about? All sprint LTE phones should get it, right? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. Well, uscc spectrum appears to have been just turned on in the south suburbs. I'm on it constantly. Speeds are incredible. First discovered at 127th and ridgeland in palos heights. So awesome. I'm at a bar 2 miles from where I discovered it. Still got it. Gci is 03. Is that normal? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. Mike, here's a suggestion: I like having the widget on my home screen to 1) give me a quick signal readout, and 2) I have it set to launch the debug menu upon clicking for a really fast view of band and other network stats. It would be great if you could squeeze the band on that little widget for an even quicker view without having to pull down the shade. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. So I've had my n5 off my Sprint account for a week, and was running a T-mobile prepaid sim for kicks. I wanted to re activate my n5 on my account, and it just wouldn't work. Sprint could not get it activated. I purchased this from Sprint and it came with a Sprint sim. Any ideas why the phone just won't pick up Sprint signal after being on T-Mobile for a week? Thanks, guys.
  17. Robert, since the USCC spectrum addition isn't really part of network vision or s4gru, are we free to openly discuss it here, as well as exact locations that it is spotted (minus tower id's)?
  18. Online chat always worked for me. All you have to do is play dumb. "I messed up my phone and had to do a factory reset, now it's asking me for some kind of 'msl' code. What is that?" Works every time.
  19. Yeah, band 26/41 notifications would be killer. Great app, Mike. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. I've had no data, zero, zilch, for the last 30 minutes. Just got it back. From around midway, up 55, down 94 to 47th st. Just got it back. I was sitting still for 10 minutes with my phone in its dash holder. Saw some wild dBm fluctuations. Wonder what's going on.
  21. Or the day after the shutdown. I swear someone said that adding another PCS carrier required another card to make the equipment broadcast that spectrum Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. My fault, I misread. Bitslizer, can you tell me the approximate location (intersection) that you caught this at in Naperville? You can post it here. If you know the tower id, message me with it. Thanks.
  23. That brings up my next question. I wish we had some kind of official word from sprint on where they plan on deploying this spectrum. It doesn't make sense, although cheaper, to just pepper a market with a tower here and a tower there. Places where they've deemed "high capacity." It should be market wide, IMHO. Why don't you head over to our newly created Chicago premier thread and post the location/tower id (if you know it). I would like to check it out for myself this weekend.
  24. This is so needed. With 2 reports in 2 days, I'm getting excited. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  25. Premier sponsors: thread has been created for NV 2.0 http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5831-Chicago-NV-2.0-Progress-/-Permits-/-etc Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
