  1. Dude..how big r ur pants bro? Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  2. Interesting article and good to know that Samsung is trying to validate why they only went with a 3200 maH battery but BAH I would still have rather had a 3500 maH battery and still maintain this cool functionality.
  3. Can you add the Galaxy Note 3 as a place holder as well. Thanks.
  4. I don't get these customers either. If they have no faith that Sprint can carry out with their plan then leave or pay the ETF and move on. Even Sprint supporters here at S4GRU are not oblivious that Sprint has a long road ahead of them in terms of improving the network and that 3G is still for the most part very slow in areas that have not been NV upgraded. Its laughable too when they say that Sprint hasn't carried out anything that they have talked about. Triband LTE hotspots have already been released and its clear that the LG G2 does have Triband LTE capability. In addition 8 markets have been soft launched with LTE 2600. All we need to see is the first LTE 800 sites and we are golden. Its all about showing some progress and I feel Sprint has done that so far.
  5. Looks like ATT will begin selling the Galaxy Note 3 on Oct 1st with start taking preorders beginning Sept 6th. I hope Sprint sells the Galaxy Note 3 on Oct 4th or Oct 11th. Verizon is also beginning to take preorders beginning Sept 6th. Sprint must jump on the ball and start offering preorders next week. I am so glad that ATT is keeping the Galaxy Note 3 price at $299. I was not looking forward to any increase to $349. http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/06/att-samsung-galaxy-note-3-pre-order/
  6. so are you saying that the "4G" icon now says "4G LTE"? I don't believe it until I see it.
  7. Yes its ok to vent what you are not happy with the phone. I dont plan to get the phone anyways but you would think that Google would want to pack a beefier battery than a 2300 maH. At least pack a 2600 maH battery like the GS4.
  8. Sucks that the phone doesn't support SVLTE and the battery is only 2300 maH. That is pretty weak and is the same size battery as the HTC One. At least the phone will be triband.
  9. I am fine with Sprint not offering a competing product for now until they see some feedback and response to Verizon and ATT's upgrade programs. You are assuming Verizon and ATT's programs are going to be wildly successful but Sprint wants to make sure that if they were to release a competing product that it will be successful. Personally I dont care about any service which I know is something I would never get because its a huge rip off just to say its an option. I would much rather have Sprint take their time to study the plans between each of the major carriers and see how much of a positive feedback it will bring. I know it won't take Sprint that long at all to launch a competing product. If they were to brainstorm a product at this very moment, I can see Sprint launch a program from idea to reality in just a few weeks. No need to sweat on how long it will take to generate a program to compete.
  10. That is fine. Google should just have it available for Tmobile, Sprint and ATT.
  11. Calm down there. I am not pointing any fingers at you. Its not your fault that Clear internet service would be going away. The fact is that Sprint's plan for Clearwire LTE is meant for mobile use and Sprint is trying to correct that. Yes Clearwire has offered 4G Wimax as a retail option in the past but offering 4G Wimax service in retail was one of the few reasons why Clearwire ran out of money and almost went bankrupt. My point in my previous post is that Sprint's vision of TD-LTE service is meant for mobile use only and not for home ISP. There is a significant difference between using it on the go vs. as your home ISP. On my home ISP, I download and stream a hell of a lot more content than I do on a mobile device. My only advice is to start looking for an alternate service for your home ISP because whether you like it or not the service will be going away at some point in the future.
  12. Whoa whoa whoa, Sprint does not have any free play money to just toss around. Even though Softbank has provided a lot of liquidity to Sprint, they are very far from out of the woods financially. If they were in such good shape, they would not be posting losses in their quarterly reports for the last 20 quarters or so. Sprint still has a ton of debt that it needs to pay back and they still have major network problems that it needs to address with Network Vision. In addition they probably have some sunk costs that Sprint was not able to negotiate a buy out on tower leases for Nextel sites with the tower companies. I would love to see Sprint bring back the Premier program for 10+ year customers for 1 year upgrade contracts just to ensure customer loyalty is maintained.
  13. I am sorry to hear about this but Sprint's priority is to ensure their mobile internet service has high quality and they can't have customers on Clear sucking up the bandwidth due to downloading and giving folks who need it on mobile to suffer. So with that said, I support Sprint's position to kick Clear customers off to free up bandwidth for TD-LTE for Sprint mobile customers. There isn't a cable TV and internet option where you live besides Verizon DSL?
  14. HTC has too been too hush hush about this HTC One Max considering that there have been a ton of questions of HTC management executives in the past few months and questions about whether Peter Chou can lead the company. You would expect them to try to strike back fast against the Galaxy Note 3 with an event scheduled at IFA to get people thinking between the 2 devices.
  15. Wow. Well in that case, I hope Google screws over Verizon and not offer the Nexus 5 to them and make them beg for mercy.
  16. What do you mean by that? Verizon held up speedier Nexus updates on the Galaxy Nexus and ruined part of the image of a Nexus device?
  17. Why would the Verizon Note 3 be triband? They are only deploying LTE on 750 and AWS spectrum. Even if Verizon plans to begin refarming some PCS spectrum for LTE, that won't happen until sometime in 2015. I highly doubt that Verizon will have LTE devices ready to support PCS LTE until sometime in 2016.
  18. What did Verizon do in the past that rubbed Google in the wrong way?
  19. So do we expect to see a Nexus 5 available on all carriers this time around? It was kinda sad to see the Nexus 4 only available to Tmobile last year.
  20. Yes Clearwire towers that are not colocated with Sprint will still use the same Clearwire base stations, backhaul and antennas. All they need to do is switch out the RRU for TD-LTE and maybe add a carrier card.
  21. The RRUs will need to be replaced to support TD-LTE and in some cases the antennas will need to be replaced especially if they are really old as in if they were one of the first Wimax markets. The base station equipment, backhaul and the majority of the antennas will be reused for TD-LTE. Now I think for colocated Sprint/Clearwire sites, I expect Sprint to move all the Clearwire equipment in the Clearwire base station to the Network Vision base station cabinets for simplicity and use the same backhaul for the Network Vision equipment so Sprint can shed the Clearwire microwave backhaul costs.
  22. No..Sprint didn't confirm any particular number of devices that they will have from any specific OEM and certainly Sprint did not confirm any number of devices to support triband. From the triband hotspot press release, all it said was that "Smartphones from LG and Samsung will have triband support released later on in the year." But we still don't know what the iPhone 5S and what the HTC One Max will have. I predict the HTC One Max will be triband and the iPhone 5S could have a very good chance to be triband but HTC and Apple weren't listed in the triband hotspot press release as OEMS to get triband. I don't take a specific detail that might have been left out as the truth. I think what you are aiming at is that Robert did mention that his sources have told him that at least another Samsung device was in the pipeline that he couldn't share in the Triband GS4 thread. I wonder if that other device is the GS4 mini.
  23. Exactly why I feel that Sprint should sell it on Friday the 13th...muhahahhah to keep up.
  24. Hopefully the Sprint version comes sooner than Sept 25th. To be honest, Sprint should be selling it next Friday 9/13 since ATT and Verizon are selling the LG G2 on 9/12 and 9/13.
  25. Motorola X set for release on Fri, Sept 6th. You can add that to the spreadsheet for release date. http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/05/moto-x-coming-to-sprint/
