  1. Boston and other ALU markets in the east coast might be ok but it is still pretty slow in the ALU west coast markets. Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, Riverside, Orange County, San Diego, east LA still need major progress in LTE.
  2. Ok I guess I was more inferring more to the performance of how slow things are going in ALU markets for launching LTE vs. performance of NV sites after launch. I haven't tested LTE myself so I can't vouch if ALU LTE is overall better.
  3. there will not be a Galaxy Note 3 active. I just want the Note 3 the way it is. I don't want tactile buttons like the GS4 active.
  4. I think ALU takes the cake of worse vendor performance over ericsson and samsung Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  5. When you are talking about the "original press release" you are not talking about this one right? Because I don't see any mention of triband triband triband! Or are you saying that Sprint pulled it down quickly with the reference to triband and replaced the press release with this one. http://investors.sprint.com/file.aspx?iid=4057219&fid=18799541
  6. I think Sprint really wanted to emphasize the triband hotspots but are keeping a low profile on smartphones for now. I just don't think its going to make much of a difference at this point to emphasize triband especially when the network is non existant. I really do expect that Sprint will emphasize triband LTE capabilities with the GS5 and all other flagship phones beginning in 2014.
  7. I expect Sprint won't be screaming out Tri-band LTE capability for any of the triband LTE phones because they don't want to alienate those LTE phone customers who bought GS4 and HTC One phones earlier in the year. The average customer doesn't know anything about triband and how to figure out if their phone is triband LTE capable. I think its best for Sprint to keep triband LTE on the DL for the rest of 2013 LTE phones because lets be honest, the LTE 800 footprint is nonexistant and the LTE 2600 footprint is relatively small (~2-3K sites with LTE 2600 don't cut it). Even for the rest of 2013, I don't expect LTE 800 and LTE 2600 to be of any significance at all in most of the country. I still need to see proof that Sprint and its vendors can deploy LTE 800 overlay as quickly as it is expected to be. I think by April/May 2014, Sprint should be marketing triband LTE capability with the GS5 and HTC One 2? or HTC Two? flaghip phones since by then a lot of markets should be covered with LTE 1900 and the LTE 800/2600 footprint will be bigger.
  8. Saw that on the twitter Evleaks. Glad to hear the HTC One Max is Sprint bound. I am pretty positive it will be triband LTE.
  9. I still don't know where it says in the LG G2 press release where Sprint kept advertising triband LTE? Can someone point that out to me.
  10. Exactly!! With all these exciting smartphones coming out like the iPhone 5S, alleged HTC One Max, Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 5, maybe triband GS4, its going to be a tougher sell since LG still doesn't have that brand recognition for high end smartphones.
  11. I don't buy that Sprint is getting it last because it isn't their largest customer because Tmobile is getting it Sept 25th and Sprint has more customers than them. However you might have a point in that manufacturing the Sprint variant due to 800 MHz may take some more time.
  12. It should just boot u off of 3G or LTE if you receive a call. Your call won't be blocked or automatically dropped if you are on 3G or LTE or else that would be real poor design since the LTE phones are meant to have mobile data enabled at all times.
  13. I played with the Moto X at the ATT store as well. Too bad I couldn't set the voice to test out the always on Google Now feature since it was too loud in the store. I still don't like that the actual screen real estate is 4.3 inches since the onscreen buttons take up so much room and that it is single band LTE. I do like the build quality of the phone and feels really nice and the always on Google Now. I definitely want to check out the Sprint version at the store for kicks.
  14. Personally I don't care about the LG G2 because I don't plan to get it anyways as of now and certainly don't care about customer growth with the LG G2 to draw Sprint customers in the masses. Its not about that. I don't care at all about drawing in more customers. Its more of the current Sprint customers who were thinking of getting the LG G2 but now might flock to other phones such as TheDave pointed out in his case. While I don't have a strong inclination to use my upgrade on the LG G2 atm, I do have an upgrade (been waiting since June) and my target device right now is the Galaxy Note 3. However the Note 3 is slated to be an early October release based on the release dates of the other carriers, although unconfirmed with Sprint, but assuming the Sprint Note 3 will be released first week of October, I still would like the opportunity to evaluate the LG G2 if possible to make sure I do some due diligence of all flagship smartphones before making my decision. I am definitely not waiting until November to evaluate the LG G2. You might not think an extra 1-2 months matter but the reality is that the actual release date is going to be way longer than a month since Oct 11 is just for preorders. The average customers do have short term memories and will move on especially if the LG G2 arrives around the same time as the Nexus 5 or a triband GS4.
  15. But what is troubling is that the Oct 11th date is only for preorders and not the actual release date. Even if Sprint started selling the LG G2 on Oct 11th, it would still be a month behind Verizon/AT&T and 2.5 weeks later than Tmobile. The Sprint version looks like it will be set to release in November like last year.
  16. Don't worry Google will host an event when the time is appropriate. I would expect the event in early in November like last year with invites/leaks about the event to be announced in mid-late October.
  17. I am not sure how much that would help anyways because you don't want to have too low of power output where the signal doesn't travel far or is very weak. Sprint wouldn't want to advertise that LTE is of the normal standard in these IBEZ areas because customers would be pissed off of the weaker performance of LTE in these IBEZ areas. Either way I don't think just reducing the power output would be good enough.
  18. I just want Sprint to announce a release date already!!!
  19. But at least you get to talk to your phone
  20. It would be nice to solve the Canadian IBEZ issue there but I haven't heard any news about Sprint and the FCC talking to Canadian officials about how to work that issue out. The Mexcian IBEZ issue has been a work in progress but it is still going to be a few years before that issue is cleared.
  21. Sprint such fail. Why are they releasing the LG G2 so late?
  22. AMPs ftw!!! Me likey Fook Yu and Fook Mi
  23. It sucks that all these backhaul providers are so far behind. There should not be any excuses for this.. centurylink seems to be falling behind everywhere. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  24. so ATT and Tmobile customers won't be able to talk and surf at the same time as well?
