  1. Oct 28th would put that on a Monday. Not sure if Sprint is known to release devices on a Monday. I think Oct 25th would be a more likely date. Although I do know where you got that Oct 28th rumor from someone that is "in the know".
  2. Wow Verizon just had to plaster its logo over the HTC logo on the front screen. Sheesh the need for Verizon to brand its stuff is ridiculous.
  3. I am looking at getting the white model as well. I have always had black or blue phones so I wanted a change. It did say its 32 GB right and its $199 on 2 year contract I presume?
  4. I understand for a Nexus 5 it is better to buy it off contract than on contract based on the numbers depending on how quickly you upgrade but if you plan to stay with Sprint and don't upgrade in the next 24 months just to sell the phone then it doesn't really matter. If Sprint gave a monthly discount like Tmobile in that if your device is not subsidized or after you finish your 24 months subsidy on a 2 year contract that would be a lot better. I agree if you buy Nexus 5 off contract now and then you use the upgrade on the iPhone 5S or GS5 to sell it depending on how much you get..you could end up more on top. I just think the average user doesn't want to deal with buying and selling phones. To each and their own.
  5. Agreed. If the phone bill includes the phone subsidy already then why would I want to pay more for a phone off contract Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  6. Darn it!!! I wonder why Sprint decided to use a USIM for the Note 3. I hope the G2 and Nexus 5 use CSIM.
  7. So do we know if the Note 3 uses the CSIM card system and whether you can swap between the Note 3 and the iPhone 5S/5C?
  8. Did the FCC documents when the Nexus 4 come out reveal an LTE antenna but was just firmware locked? If that was the case then it is no surprise that they were able to get LTE on the Nexus 4 since the hardware was present but was just firmware locked.
  9. I understand that you can be in disbelief. However if you had access to the Premier Sponsor information about LTE 2600 nationwide maps, you wouldn't be saying the same thing. Basically Robert's trip validated that the info he received about Colorado LTE 2600 was correct and he posted screenshots to prove it. As far as we know, the Nexus 5 will be triband LTE based on the latest FCC docs with a model of D820. However until Google officially announces that the Nexus 5 device will be coming to Sprint, this is still just speculation. But assuming it does come to Sprint and has a model number of D820, the Nexus 5 will be triband.
  10. On Sprint this shouldn't be an issue since you can just listen to streaming radio which is more clear.
  11. Im passing on the Sprint One Up deal. I don't need to get a new device every year.
  12. OMG it looks so ugly. I wonder if I can change it to the Verizon 4G LTE icon. I wonder why Sprint is all of a sudden adding a 4GLTE icon vs. just 4G?
  13. Not sure. I have never done it before. However since I still have a Wimax device I think swapping between a Wimax and LTE device might be pain which you might have to do it in the store OR this is just an issue I have read that is only applicable to SERO plans. I have read for SERO plans that there needs to be a code change to your plan when you upgrade from a Wimax to LTE device that you have to go through a CSR but I assume if you swap between from a LTE device to Wimax device that you might have to do the same by going through the CSR.
  14. WATTT?!??!? What does the 4G LTE icon look like? Can you post a screenshot?
  15. If you are on the fence between the LG G2 and Nexus 5, you should wait until Google announces it at their next event for Android 4.4 KitKat and Nexus 5. Although most of the specs for the Nexus 5 have already been leaked including the shape of the phone. I think all of us are just waiting to have it confirmed by Google. In terms of either Sprint or Tmobile is really up to you. Since you are planning to get a triband LTE device, it is no secret that Robert has made a trip to Colorado and has confirmed that LTE 2600 is live and is all over Colorado with his triband LTE hotspot. Not to mention that LTE 1900 deployment is already underway and LTE 800 is ramping up deployment starting this month. If you move to Tmobile, all they have is high band LTE (1700/2100 MHz) since they have no low band spectrum. While Tmobile LTE might be more consistent and faster at this point in Colorado, Sprint will surpass them in speed and coverage in 2014.
  16. Darn it!!! I was hoping to get some closure on this issue since the idea of CSIMs being used on all future Sprint LTE phones is intriguing and I am sure many people would enjoy. I would like to avoid making excessive trips to Sprint stores or phoning Sprint CSRs in order to swap devices.
  17. Anyone planning to preorder g2 on Oct 11 to take advantage of the free case? Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  18. Has anyone that has picked up Note 3 or works at a Sprint store can confirm that the Note 3 uses CSIM card system like the iPhone 5s to be able to hot swap SIM cards between the iPhone 5s without phoning into Sprint? Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
  19. Its only $249 for new customers. Its $349 for current Sprint customers.
  20. the problem with taking on the 64 GB model at least for Sprint is that they would have to charge $399 or $449 which already breaks the threshold of what people are willing to pay and still be under contract. If Sprint charge the 32 GB at $299 like they should have since that is what the other carriers charge then it might be ok to take on the 64 GB model. I am sure Sprint did their research and realized that very few folks buy the higher capacity models since Samsung phones already have a SD card. It is much cheaper to add mass capacity storage via SD card then to buy more flash internal storage.
  21. My guess is that they will only sell the 32 GB model since it has a removable SD card slot already. I looked at ATT and Tmobile and they are both only selling the 32 GB model.
  22. Check out this spreadsheet. If you scroll to the right and look at the top of the columns, you will see if any particular phone supports LTE 800, LTE 1900 and LTE 2600. You will see that the LG G2, Galaxy Mega 6.3, Nexus 5, GS4 mini are the only triband LTE phones. Also the HTC One is only single band LTE 1900 supported. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2456-sprint-lte-device-release-dates/
