  1. Adios Lightsquared. Looks like Sprint/Lightsquared experiment is officially over. http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.php?a=10078
  2. Too bad, I thought Sprint would take advantage to have its 1st gen LTE phones future proofed for the network.
  3. Anybody think the GSlll will be out to early to have LTE Advanced? Or is that for 2013 releases?
  4. I'm curious if the specs will be the same as the Verizon version, or will this be the elusive GNex+.
  5. Looks like it will support LTE only in the 1900 band.
  6. As the article mentioned, I think Sprint is waiting for this fall and will require most phones to be LTE compatable. If this phone was a successor to the Arrive, then it may not have been worth the effort if it was going to launch soon.
  7. It may be why Verizon is going to start selling all LTE smartphones in order to force migration onto LTE in order to clear up the CDMA side. They will have to eventually if they are serious about pushing VoLTE at the end of the year. Although a good share of WiMax phones still on the market, I'm sure most of them are on contract with a small percentage of off-contracts waiting for LTE. The 6%'s were probably sales for people who don't have a clue about NV or broke/damaged their phone.
  8. Strategically it may be a good fit spectrum wise, but a Sprint/Cricket tie-up? I still can't get my head around it.
  9. It will be curious to see how many Nextel customers Sprint can salvage and switch to SDC? I believe there are approx 6 million Nextel users left, so that's a lot of churn within the next two years that could keep Hesse in hot water with investors.
  10. Good idea. Both AT&T and Verizon have been fighting LTE roaming agreements to keep the regionals and Sprint/T-Mo at a competitive disadvantage. The FCC needs to put its foot down, however, if the regionals sign with Clearwire for LTE this would be a simple (and profitable for Clearwire) solution when Clearwire goes nationwide.
