  18. The GNex not getting 4.4 has nothing to do work the RAM. It has more to do with the fact that TI dropped out of the mobile chip business. I don't think Google wants to get in the business of driver support for an end of the line chipset. Wasting resources on a train wreck of a phone is probably not top of their priority list.
