I'm guessing that number may grow a bit going forward as Sprint is using B13 in Puerto Rico and the USVI(?) via their partnership with Open Mobile.

O2 (Telefónica) and Vodafone. According to Sprint there should be LTE roaming on O2 on LTE bands 1, 3 and 20. Obviously you'll need a phone that supports LTE on one, two or (preferably) all three of those bands.

Yeah I'm a little bummed because I'm in the exact same boat. The extra storage I can take it or leave it, but I would rather have the additional 2GB of RAM. Not carrying the upgraded version when every other carrier will be is just such a Sprint thing to do.

One of the amusing things in these merger document disclosures is trying to figure out who the unnamed parties are. In this case Company A, Shareholder X, Company B and Company C. Not too many clues this time, though I imagine one of the companies was almost certainly Dish Network.

Yeah, a couple more. With all of the consolidation over the years it's now basically a duopoly with CET & MGM owning ~65% of the Strip properties between them. So whatever agreement they've come to work Caesar's (if any) they also need to strike with MGM to expedite upgrades in their properties. Although, I wonder if given the fact that T-Mobile Arena is partially owned by MGM Resorts I wonder if they already have an "in" with MGM. [emoji848] Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Paris and Harrah's are both Caesar's Entertainment properties. That makes me wonder if they've cut some kind of deal with Caesar's to get all of their resorts on The Strip connected first.

I had the same experience about a month ago. My wife and I were traveling and at least two of the airports (ORD & DTW) are Passpoint Secure enabled, but neither my Note 8 nor my wife's S8+ would connect automatically or when I tried manually. I'm not sure if it's a Samsung issue, a Sprint technical issue or if Sprint and Boingo silently terminated their agreement.

I have no idea, however I don't see why New T-Mobile phones wouldn't support both band 2 (for roaming) & band 25 (native) assuming that they aren't forced to divest the G block. On the network side, since band 25 is a superset including band 2 it seems like it would make the most sense for New TMobile phones to make use of it while also broadcasting band 2 (presumably via MFBI) for legacy T-Mobile devices and incoming roaming revenue.

Not all the Shentel just the wireless subsidiary, not the towers or our fiber network. if they do decide to buy our wireless business, there is a formula that you provide to our shareholders, a very handsome return. If they choose not to buy our wireless business, Shentel will remain an affiliate of the New T-Mobile and for the next 180 days, we have the option to acquire the T- mobile customers and that work in our 7 million POPs service area at 75% of the value of the customers and asset as determined by the merger value. If we can’t finance the purchase, then the New T-Mobile will finance the purchase at their cost of capital for up to five years. if Shentel decides not to buy T-Mobile network and customers, then the new T-Mobile must turn off the T-Mobile network that overlaps Shentel within two years. As Chris said at this point, we’re not going to spend a lot of time speculating, but we’ll continue to stay focused on running our business.

I'm definitely going to stick around and see what develops. But if they start getting too customer unfriendly I might give Fi a closer look.

I'm very curious to see what develops in the video/TV space. If we're able to get 'free'/included Hulu and Netflix and if something worthwhile ever develops from t-mobile's purchase of Layer 3 TV on a nationwide scale that could potentially create a decent little cost saving bundle. A lot of ifs though.

Agreed 100%. Unlimited data up to 4G LTE speeds for $5/day or $25/week, I would really hate to lose that.

I sort of doubt that unless the merged company eventually were to eventually relocate their combined headquarters to Las Vegas (which I personally wouldn't mind). A corporation with co-headquarters in the Kansas City and Seattle areas purchasing naming rights to a football stadium in Las Vegas doesn't necessarily make sense as both of those areas already have professional football stadiums. It would just be...odd imo. When T-mobile purchased the naming rights to T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Seattle didn't have an NHL team (though that likely will be changing in the next few years).

Yes, Open Mobile's B13 license covers the USVI as well which is a good thing. Sprint's problem in the USVI is that they're very limited as far as B41 spectrum. Some company called Choice Communications has the lion's share of it there unfortunately. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
