  1. I just checked my account and there are no unexpected charges. Hopefully it stays that way. Indeed, i see that they have changed the map since the earlier picture that I took right before i left. Perhaps their international department noticed my roaming there and that moved them to fix their map. Regardless, I'm not worried about any charges showing up. According to their map that I posted previously from before I departed, at worst I should've had no coverage on the Dutch side. Looking at the most recent map, the situation that Sprint has there is pretty silly. They need to just get a Global Roaming/Open World agreement worked out with TelCell and/or Chippie and cover the entire island. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  2. Landed in St. Maarten today. I got the usual text from Sprint and Open World is working as it should right off the bat. Interesting thing is that the Sprint international map shows there only being coverage on the French side of the island, Saint Martin provided by Digicel. It shows that there shouldn't be any coverage at all on the Dutch side of the island, Sint Maarten, yet there is from TelCell. A pleasant surprise to be sure. Speeds are nothing to write home about, but more than usable. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  3. That's very good indeed. However, they should have been first instead of being reactive. Open World already included unlimited talk, text and 1 GB of high speed data in Brazil. Would it have been that difficult to make it unlimited for August and announce it back in May or June? That might have netted them some switchers. Making an announcement on August 1st is late; people who are going are probably already on their way and switching cell phone companies right before an international trip is likely the last thing on their mind.

  5. Soccer reference. I was totally lost until Google came to the rescue. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  6. Every country except for Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. That's not surprising, as the DR is the only Spanish speaking country in the Caribbean (save for Cuba, of course). Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  7. Whereabouts are you? There's been 1x 800 live inside of the Vegas valley for quite a while now. It's Band 26 LTE800 that we're lacking here. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  8. That must mean that we're due for another hit piece starring the one and only Craig Moffett.
  9. I want to say that I was around Silverado Ranch and Bermuda. Which CSN campus were you at? I've gotten pretty good service at CSN Henderson and CSN Charleston, not so much at CSN Cheyenne. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  10. Nah, T-Mobile didn't get any low band spectrum from the collapse of the At&t deal, only AWS-1. They got their low band spectrum by purchasing 700A from Verizon (and one 850 cellular license in South Carolina from purchasing Suncom). I don't believe that Verizon had 700A spectrum in Puerto Rico to sell so T-Mobile still doesn't have low band spectrum there.

  12. Sprint received the PCS G block as compensation for re-banding, a process that has cost Sprint billions of dollars and at times a lot of headaches. I don't believe that is really comparable to how V and T got their cellular spectrum back in the 80s.
  13. I live walking distance from the M Resort. That seems about right for Sprint in there. I had no idea that Verizon was that bad there though. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  14. He's an employee so I'm guessing that he has access to glance or some other internal tools that allow him to see the proof, but can't share details publicly.

  16. That's already proven to be a good starting point. Thanks for the heads up! Now to start the process elimination, ugh... Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  17. Never mind. It worked just fine for a little over a day then went back to doing the same crap. No idea what the problem is. /shrug Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  18. Thank goodness for this update. It apparently fixed an annoying issue where Google services like YouTube, Play Store app updates, etc. refused to work for me while on my home wifi. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  19. I'm going to guess that he's not snooping around here, though I'd like to be wrong about that. Unless he has a Twitter account, the best bet would probably be to try to email him. claudio.hidalgo@sprint.com would likely be a good email address to try first.
  20. Here's someone that you should be able to direct your complaints or concerns to going forward: http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/claudio-hidalgo-joins-sprint-as-president-florida-puerto-rico-and-us-virgin-islands-region.htm
  21. http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1880438-Sprint-in-Billings-MT-FYI?p=16495571#post16495571 I couldn't find SID 5230 either, but it definitely looks like 5320.
  22. SID 5320 shows up as grandfathered to Montana PCS Alliance A M. I believe that may have been Alltel at some point in the past. If I had to guess, I'd say that it's probably some deprecated roaming network that Verizon (or AT&T?) is doing the bare minimum to maintain in order to finish honoring an Alltel agreement.
