  1. That's interesting. Out of curiosity, why is VZW broadcasting B25 LTE via MFBI?
  2. With everything going on in Puerto Rico and the USVI, this tweet by Marcelo (understandably) received little fanfare, but is significant going forward imo: https://twitter.com/marceloclaure/status/913886331394289664 In Spanish: https://twitter.com/marceloclaure/status/913887710825283584

  4. I imagine that the combined entity would purchase the network from Shentel. Shentel's CEO or CFO addressed that possibility and the choices that would be available to a combined Sprint/T-Mobile on their last earnings call.
  5. You shouldn't have had to pay for high speed data in Canada anyway. In addition to Global Roaming, did you also have the $0 Premium International Experience enabled on your line(s)?
  6. I just checked and I'd have to say either no or it's very well hidden. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  7. New security update out. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  8. Huh? I'm pretty sure that $9.99 is the regular price for premium. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  9. Not bad. It'd be nice for them to also offer a discount after the 6 month free trial. They were pretty fond of 50% off for quite some time. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  10. Perhaps this is why Movistar MX has halted their LTE deployment: https://seekingalpha.com/news/3271711-report-telefonica-pondering-sale-mexico-unit
  11. Assuming that my limited Spanish is accurate (didn't bother to use Google translate), Pegaso is a subsidiary of Telefónica, so basically Movistar. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Have you guys contacted Sprint and let them know that a problem has recently occurred?
  13. Lol that would be terrible, though if Sprint didn't buy the naming rights to Arrowhead Stadium right in their backyard, I doubt that they'd be willing to spend even more and do so here. T-Mobile pays ~$6M/year for the naming rights to the arena here. I'd have to imagine that the bill would be significantly higher for a brand new NFL stadium. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  14. Lol the network had better be flawless by the time that the Raiders get here! That's more than enough time to work any kinks out. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  15. Sprint's service in Las Vegas is generally good, but of course I don't spend very much time on the Strip (which technically isn't in Las Vegas ????). Hopefully they'll get whatever capacity issues they're having on the Strip sorted out soon or at least by the time that the Golden Knights start playing. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  16. According to my profile, I've been here since January 20, 2012. However, I've been around since November 13, 2011 when the site was s4gru.spruz.com and the membership was slightly smaller. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  18. Indeed. I still recall Hesse hyping WiMAX right up until they officially announced that they were launching LTE even though that was one of the worst kept 'secrets' in the industry.
  19. That's all well and good. Yet, I never claimed that the new Global Roaming will be better/cheaper for all people in all circumstances. Indeed, I've stated several times that it will depend on one's usage. Kudos to your sister for only using half a gig in three weeks. However, it seems just as likely that there will be customers who find it valuable and perhaps even cost effective to have 4G speeds instead of 3G and to not worry about having to watch the meter. Clearly you're not one of those people so they give you the option to stay on Open World. Seems win-win. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  20. Again, depends on usage. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that. I'd venture to say that the average person doesn't vacation for a month. However, even for someone who does, are they really going to stay under 1 GB of data usage for the entire month? If you use 10 GB, for example, over the course of a month it would be $300 on Open World (which still isn't terrible IMO) vs $100. Or if you don't want to pay for the high speed data, don't take the buy-up. That's an option. Or keep Open World, that's also an option that they're offering.
