  1. I'd be so happy if it was a Sprint Spark small cell in the wild.
  2. It is capable of 51Mbit as it seems like they're rolling out PCS in 10x10 much like band 17. Depending on the area it can be good. Midtown at 23rd street it's absolute garbage.
  3. You shouldn't bother customer service reps about this. They only know so much. That's why sites like this exist, we'll provide you the information you want if you're nice about it. Shouldn't be expecting educated answers from someone whose job it is to just make a customer happy. She's not a cellular enthusiast like most of us here.
  4. I believe two carriers share the same site, just wanna confirm it's Sprint and not the other
  5. Nope. Band 25 everywhere, rarely see band 26 unless I jump on our local highway like road.
  6. Currently at the one known GMO site on Staten Island, upgraded 3G but nothing else. No new panels as far as I can tell... Found some aging looking ones though. Are these legacy Lucent panels? http://imgur.com/b3OnGzU http://imgur.com/m10PQ6S
  7. I live in a non turbo area according to Sprint but only have Band 26 available.
  8. I too hate cases, as I wore my 6 naked for 2 weeks after buying the last one in New Jersey - then it got cracked and the LCD actually cracked too Luckily for $120 Apple replaced the entire phone so it's like nothing happened Gotta wear a case and screen protector though. Bought myself this, can't wait to get it in January https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/496143773/neverdrop-the-wearable-smartphone-case
  9. I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE WENT TO TIMES SQUARE TODAY. Freaking precalc final.
  10. Very true, and I feel the same. I own a Dell so I just upgrade whatever part I need to experience the latest and greatest I need a new router though lol. All I know is I'm fine with Sprint's band 41 rollout, just hoping my iPhone 6 gets VoLTE. At least my phone supports all the bands of the network cough cough AT&T cough.
  11. One fellow on the Sprint subreddit found himself some band 41 out in Portland, I don't know anything about Troutdale. My advice to you, being new here and all: learn about the Sprint network. About LTE bands and Network Vision. Then join the sponsors through donation and take a look at cell site maps, as they will tell you local LTE enabled towers by you as well as nationwide. It's a lot to learn, but its beneficial to understand the network as well as make you worldly about how cellular service works. Welcome to S4GRU!
  12. Yes that's how that works in Chicago and that's how it would work here, thing is people would then complain "Oh I just got this phone to support Sprint's new network and now it's outdated again and I gotta buy another one". Of course not a lot of people would be saying this, but there would be an annoyed handful.
  13. You know 2011-2013 I was very pessimistic about Sprint, I hated the network and had nothing but bad thoughts about its future. Things changed in the last year though, they're not just dicking around. They're getting work done and actually are building a great network. Every time someone asks me "You're on Sprint? Aren't they terrible?" I sit there happily and tell them how much they've turned around. The news about Sprint meeting their deadlines is great news, and now that they plan to focus on small cell rollout that's even better. Now we just need Robert to make us some small cell maps
  14. Question: Is AT&T using a standard 2T2R type of panel? Or are they futureproofing with another form of set up?
  15. Going straight for three carrier aggregation would be an insanely smart move as it really would put a distance between them and the others in terms of overall network performance. The only issue with doing three carrier aggregation is the fact that many devices in the pipeline with LTE-A integrated into design will only do two carrier aggregation, as we seen with the Galaxy Note Edge - this would mean a lot of devices would not be up to date with the network. I think by 2015's end we'll have either devices with three carrier aggregation support or 4x4 MIMO.
  16. I reported it three times. I'm probably gonna call next time I sleep over. I'm jealous of you nextgencpu, I want b41 at home
  17. I figured it had to do with Network Vision since its NV 2.0. And yeah, comments on FierceWireless are terrible. But look at that, dark fiber is being considered here, more small cells; exactly what Sprint needs to take NYC, Chicago, and LA by force on RootMetrics.
