  1. Wow.. they must have a lot of Sprint users in the area. How many users can a small cell handle?
  2. I thought Sprint would have some small cells to help with congestion. Do they have small cells in that area if Brooklyn?
  3. Does Sprint plan on adding any small cells to help with the congestion in DUMBO? I was with my wife there the other day and although she had LTE, she could not load any websites and iMessages was not working. She has the iPhone 7 on Sprint. I am with Verizon and data speeds were around 2mbps down and data and iMessages were working just fine. I have the iPhone 6s. I am so tempted to switch to Sprint due to the FLASH sale going on with the IPhone X for $5/month but this has made me a little hesitant and insecure about my decision and also not having VoLTE.
  4. The speeds you are getting are sufficient to do basically anything you want but I do understand the frustration when going up north to Lake George. My wife could barely load google maps, would take a while to do so. I will add that even Verizon was slow as I was going up on 9N. My phone would indicate LTE and 1-2 bars but nothing would load. I had to put it in airplane mode a few times, it was getting frustrating.
  5. Please provide an update on your experience after receiving your SIM card. I'm with Verizon and the one free year of service is very tempting. I live in Brooklyn so I am sure my experience will be much different than yours.
  6. I was just at Lake George and Glenn Falls with my wife for July 4th weekend and she had B25 useable data in Glenn Falls at the Holiday Inn we were staying at but once we got further up north it was either very slow 3G or 1x. I have Verizon and I would have to turn on my hotspot so she could use the internet. In Lake George she had 1x and couldn't do anything unless she was connected to my phone.
  7. I personally switched to Verizon when they came out with their unlimited plan. In NYC Sprint was great but in NJ it needed much improvement. So far so good with Verizon but Sprint has improved A LOT in NYC and hopefully they continue to do so.
  8. I have not but thanks for reminding. I will definitely do so.
  9. Sprint is excellent in the 5 boroughs. I was not impressed so much by Verizon but their service was great.
  10. I get great data speeds inn Brooklyn but when I visit my folks in Jamaica, Queens I noticed speeds are about 1mbps. In Brooklyn by Bensonhurst I sometimes get 80mbps. Any reason why Queens has been neglected?
  11. I'm thinking of switching too. Verizon dropped a nuke today but they don't offer any discounts with their unlimited plan. I get a 19% discount with my college email and when i tried with Verizon, it did not apply. It worked for their data buckets but not on their unlimited plan . I wish they did $80 including taxes and fees but I'm sure it will be more around $93-$95 with taxes and fees.
  12. I work in Springfield Gardens, Queens so when I get home later I will post a photo. Actually I wouldn't know how to do it... I use the website, I don't use the tapatalk app.
  13. I did *3001#12345#* before and after the speed test. I aleays get Band 25 in my kitchen, Band 26 in my bathroom and Band 41 in my living room and Bedroom. I was shocked at how fast the speeds were on Band 25. I get 52 down on Band 41.
  14. I'm in Borough Park, Brooklyn and my phone is in Band 25 and I got 44 down and 1 up. Has Sprint deployed a second carrier on Band 25 in NYC?
  15. In what ways will the new carrier update affect my 6s if it isn't capable of 3xCA?
  16. Oh nice. But the 6s isn't 3xCA, right? I think that's only for the 7 and 7 plus. My wife has the 7 so i'll have to run speed tests.
  17. I have a 6s and just received a carrier update from 27.1 to 27.2 Any idea what it could be?
  18. Sprint can roam on T-Mobile? I thought only Verizon
  19. I was this morning up until 9:45ish but seems all good now.
  20. I switched back to Sprint last October and I'm loving it. I had jumped shipped in 2012 to At&t and decided to give Sprint another chance and their network has improved tremendously. I was in Providence, RI for Thanksgiving and it was great out there too.
  21. I was right next to this small cell by the Wendys and LTE speeds were about 2mpbs down and 1mpbs up. I was connected to band 41 but I would think speeds would be mich higher if this was a Sprint small cell. Perhaps it belongs to abother carrier?
  22. My wife just informed me that the R line in Brooklyn is all lit up with service now. She was able to text me whereas yesterday she couldn't.
