  1. Yes, that is correct. The lady I spoke to was an executive analyst I believe her title was and she was very friendly and understanding. She told me that whenever a customer files a complain with the FCC or BBB or some other agency, Sprint get's fined and they don't like paying those so they do whatever they can to solve your issue and keep you as a customer. Just be patient and don't expect much better speeds from one day to the next. I had to wait from a month to a month and a half to see better results. She also told me that in NYC it takes time to do upgrades because all their towers are on top of apartment buildings or office buildings and they need to contact the landlord to let the technician go to the roof and do maintenance and upgrades and sometimes the landlord isn't available on a day that Sprint has planned to do maintenance and they are forced to wait an extra day. But I am happy I could help and like I said, just be patient with them when you file your complain but also be a bit persistent. They will try to solve your problem.
  2. I must say that I am quite impressed with Sprint and at the speeds I am getting throughout the borough of Queens in NYC. When I first got my iPhone 4S back in November, the speeds I was getting were around .20-.30 Mbps for down and about .10 for up. I was really frustrated with them that I decided to file a complain with the BBB and Sprint called me back within 10 days and I told them about the slow speeds and they opened up a ticket to upgrade capacity in my area. They told me that if I wasn't satisfied within a month, they would waive the ETF and allow me to leave. Sprint is really trying to step up their game and now I am finally seeing the results. It's been a month now and about a few mins ago around 2:00pm EST I ran a speed test and I was able to hit 1.46 Mbps up and 1.08 Mbps down and this is in another area not near my home. Yesterday in my home area I also noticed faster speeds and it seems like it has just been getting faster and faster in the past month. Sprint has done a total of 4 capacity upgrades in the towers near me. I am happy I decided to stay with Sprint. In the Bronx it was ridiculously slow and on Sunday I also noticed faster speeds and althought it wasn't as fast as it is Queens, it is definitely getting there. Makes me more anxious to test an NV site around here if there are any active.
  3. Robert: Thanks for the clarification and explanation. At least i'll still be able to enjoy NV in some way, especially the data speeds. The signal in NYC from sprint is great so I guess missing out on 800 wont affect me much. Hopefully next year when I upgrade to the new iPhone, it'll be compatible for 800. Thanks again, Walter
  4. Robert: I was looking at the iPhone 4S specs on the apple site and it shows the following: Cellular and Wireless World phone UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) CDMA EV-DO Rev. A (800, 1900 MHz)3 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi (802.11n 2.4GHz only) Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology It clearly shows 800 right there on the CDMA section. I really hope the iPhone can support 800 CDMA because I am not eligible for an upgrade until July 2013. By then i'll be buying the new iPhone. Please let me know Robert and thanks Walter
  5. Ahhhh! I'm dying over here to test a NV tower in NYC. I hope my iPhone 4S is compatible with all the NV upgrades.
  6. Robert: I live in NYC in the borough of Queens and I noticed that there are 6 new towers I believe it was but Queens has over 100 towers and I got tired of clicking the towers to see which one they were. Also in the borough of the bronx, there are 3 new towers I believe but again, there are so many that I couldn't find which one they were. I believe in Lyndhurst, NJ there was also 1 new tower. Sorry I couldn't post the pics but I hope this has helped. Regards, Walter
  7. I read a post where Robert said there are some sites live here in NYC. He told me he was working on an article for NYC so I can't wait to see where those sites are and run some tests. Sprint recently did some capacity upgrades in my zip code of 11432 and before the upgrade, I was getting between .20 - .30 Mbps down and around the same for uploads. With the upgrades, I've been getting .90 - 1.06 Mbps down and about .50 Mbps up. I can definitely work with that and even watch videos but I would love to have the speeds Dallas is getting. I also have the 4S and before the upgrades, I would constantly lose 3G and my iPhone would show an 'o' where the 3G symbol was suppose to be. I contacted sprint and I was told the tower that was literally 5 blocks from me was over loaded and it was going to receive a capacity upgrade and 3 days later voila! Better speeds and have only seeing that 'o' once and that was about 2 weeks ago. Before I was seeing it every day. I mostly use wifi at home but once in a while i'll turn it off to test my 3G and the speeds are still good. I can't wait for NV to be fully implemented here in NYC.
  8. A friend of mine who owns an iPhone 4S and was recently visiting Dallas, TX was around some areas where some towers have already been upgraded to NV and he says he was getting 1.2-2 Mbps throught the entire day and even in very busy hours. He was shocked. When ever he went back to his hotel that wasn't anywhere near Dallas, he wa getting 0.1 Mbps. He was frustrated but him and I are very excited and can't wait for network vision to be fully implented here in NYC. He was sorry he couldn't get any pics of towers and since he's not from Dallas, he doesn't exactly remember what streets he was on since he had a friend drive him around everywhere but I just thought I should share this with you all.
  9. Robert... Please post a new article. I miss reading your new articles. - David
  10. Thanks for the quick response Robert. I will definitely check that section about sponsoring.
  11. How about NYC? I can't tell if there are Network Vision Completions in Northern New Jersey or NYC. Please update me on NYC. Thank you guys and keep up the awesome work.
  12. I live in NYC in the borough of Queens. If i'm right, I think I see some completion on the map for the area of NYC or that could also be northern New Jersey. Can you please provide any updates on NYC. Thank you guys and keep up the GREAT work.
  13. Robert: I've been checking your site every other day for updates on network vision an you have provided great info and updates. Please keep up the great work. I live in NYC in the county of Queens which is one of the 5 boroughs. If you get any info regarding sites that are up an running, let me know and i'll for sure take a drive around and do some tests. I wish I could go to boston and try for myself the 3G speeds and coverage.
