  1. I've decided that i'm going to wait until my contract expired on November 27th 2013 and then depending on how Sprint is doing around that time in my area, i'll decide on whether to stay or go to Tmobile.
  2. Well that's why Verizon is #1 but they are the most expensive. The only reason I have never joined them is because they are expensive and because I prefer unlimited data.
  3. So i'm in the bronx right now with a friend and he was telling me that last week when he was on vacation visiting family in north carolina, he had service with Sprint and his friend who has Tmobile had zero coverage. That sort of made me think twice about actually going to Tmobile. He's thinking of going to Verizon after his contract is up and I am here trying to convince him to stay with Sprint. I am telling him how Sprint is rebuilding their 3G and implementing 4G at the same time. He lives in northern NJ and around his area, 3G is pretty good. I really hope Sprint can begin upgrading towers in my area soon. In southern Queens their arent that many NV towers
  4. Anyone think Sprint will take the same route as Tmobile and and get rid of contracts? That'd be great
  5. You guys have all given some great feedback. Little did I expect for this topic to gain so many responses. Looks like come July, I will be signing up for another 2 years with Sprint. I really hope that LTE is launched in NYC by then and that the new iPhone has launched.
  6. Well it seems like I may be staying with Sprint for another 2 years. I'll be paying $90 with tmo and I already pay $92.12 a month with sprint and Sprint's service i way better than tmo. I read a previous post that people are gettin 8mbps of lte in boston and thats good enought to download apps, stream videos and more. I am not looking for 35 mbps. I dont need all that speed when i can be doing the same thing with 8 mbps down. I believe sprint will also implement LTE away from large cities whereas tmo may not do so until way later.
  7. Wow so I guess I should stay with Sprint. Sucks if I can only be on edge when away from the city
  8. Does anyone think that Sprint will follow in Verizon's footsteps and take the early upgrade at 20 months?
  9. Good point, data speeds and data coverage.
  10. Although tmobile does have better 3G speeds than Sprint, Sprint is beginning to impress me. I was at the mets game last weekend and it was 6:33pm and I was getting 3G speeds of .70 down with a 103 ping. Near my job, there is a completed NV 3G tower and I get amazing speeds all day. I use wi-fi at work most of the time but at times i'll turn wi-fi off to remind me of what is to come. I get over 1mbps down. I used to be with tmobile a couple of years ago but i left because their prices kept going up and i was paying $70 for 350 mins a month with unlimited texting and I jumped to metropcs which their service sucks, then boost, and finally Sprint for the iPhone 4S. Tmobile also had bad service out of the city. Low signal, dropped calls and I dont know if it still that way but I am pretty sure it has improved.
  11. True what you're saying. I just hope Dish doesn't buy Sprint. Hmmm... I am still not finding the answer I am looking for but you guys all have made great points.
  12. I am very good at taking care of my things. I use my 4S without a case and it's in perfect condition. I've never had to replace the screen or have it repaired so keeping the device for more than 2 years is no problem. I do wish to upgrade and change my phone every two years so I'll probably always end up paying $90 a month with tmobile anyways just like I pay with Sprint.
  13. I would be spending more money. I currently pay $92.12 a month for a single line with Sprint.
  14. You guys are all making some good points. Should I worry about dish buying Sprint?
  15. Hi everyone, i've been a member for over a year now and I am also a sponsor. I love this site and everything that Robert does. If it wasn't for him, Sprint would've lost me as a customer. I am very excited for Sprint and their network vision and I am beginning to see the benefits of it now. I am in NYC so the rollout will take a lot longer than other markets to complete but my data speeds have begun to improve and I am very excited for Sprint in the coming years. As many of you know, Tmobile just got rid of contracts and also offer unlimited data. Up until Tmobile announced that they were getting rid of contracts, I had never thought of leaving Sprint. Now that Tmobile got rid of their contracts and now offer the iPhone and are impleting LTE, joining them doesn't seem too bad. I love Sprint and I can't wait till they launch LTE in NYC. My contract ends November 27th of this year and my upgrade is on July 1st. I am debating whether I should wait until my contract ends and jump to Tmobile or upgrade in July and sign on for another 2 years. I feel like I would be betraying this site and Sprint if I join Tmobile. Contracts do suck but at the same time, Sprint is stepping it up. Tmobile will be launching LTE in NYC soon. I don't like that Tmobile will be merging with Metropcs and I think they will begin using the name metropcs which I hate and I hope Dish doesn't buy Sprint. I don't what to do so I am hoping your opinions will lead me to make the right choice come July.
  16. I'm at the mets game right now and it's 5:53pm and im getting pings of 107 with .78 down and .67 up. I can't believe it. Last year I was getting .02 down and .23 up. Wow.. What a HUGE difference NV can do.
  17. Welcome and as the previous post said, become a sponsor and you can see the updates for south carolina and the sites that have been converted to NV. South carolina is a third round market so it is only 24% completed. If all goes well, you can probably expect to see LTE in the 4th quarter of this year. To become a sponsor you have to donate any amount you can to help support this website. You will have access to so many more features and information. It is so totally worth it. As more sites begin to get converted to network vision, believe me, the wait will be totally worth it. I live in NYC and I have the 4S and although I can only connect to 3G, I am beginning to see much better speeds for 3G. Even around 6pm, I still get over 1mbps. I was streaming live CNN yesterday on 3G without buffering. Once again, welcome and Robert the administrator of this site can assist you with all the questions you have but first snoop around the site because you will find the answers to your questions before you can even ask him.
  18. In Manhattan I get great 3G NV speeds. Amazing. I average 1.20 mbps down. Currently im in weehawken, NJ which is real close to the lincoln tunnel and my speeds are great and it's 8:01pm on a saturday and I am getting 1.50mbps down to 1.99mbps down. I think i saw in the maps that there is an upgrade 3G tower nearby. I love it. I am streaming youtube without buffering and browsing webpages at full speed. Sprint is really stepping it up.
  19. Happy belated birthday Robert! May God bless you and your family richly more and more each year and that God may give you your heart's desire. Thanks for everything that you do for us on this site.
  20. Me too! I just did the ##873283# on my 4S and it changed from 51094 to 4394. Pretty weird..

    Married to it

Awesome article and I appreciate you being so patient with him for the sake of all of us.
  22. That's what I am hoping for. I'll probably get the 5S since there are rumors that Apple will release a new iPhone at their WWDC in June. Can't wait for LTE speeds.
  23. I would upgrade to the 5 but my upgrade isnt until July.
