  1. I am in Springfield, Mass. Sprint has done a better job the last few months getting the 1900 deployed, I wouldn't call it turning the corner you would have to get Robert or Aj to give their thoughts on that. In many places towers are 4g but the consistency isnt there yet. In my area speeds are not impressive but usable. If I travel down towards Hartford, ct the speeds actually get better. Having waited so long for upgrades, that didnt seem to do to much (3g) I just don't see the sense of urgency from sprint. Over here, all we constantly hear is the negatives with Sprint. - It get a little boring- I am sure its like that in some other areas as well. I am unaware of any different marketing other than the Framily commercials, If a market is complete why not advertise in it, tell everyone... I really want to see Sprint get back in the game and be a force.
  2. And the roll out is still dragging in many places- a LONG time. Sprint needs to move faster If the back haul is the hold up, while they are waiting finish the entire upgrade where possible... completely not just a piece at a time- Where it is possible.
  3. Okay, Can't sprint redo the antennas on the towers and run all the lines while waiting for back haul? Then once the back haul is done connect everything? I mean, why wait for back haul, get what you can done. I mean EVERYTHING! Put up the 800/1900/2500 and start MV like Robert suggested since there is "time". That way once the back haul is in there is no more wait. It seems we wait for 3g, then for 800 voice, then for back haul, then for lte? That doesnt include 800 lte or 25/2600. The best teams are the ones who can still manage when things dont fall into place as planned, they "audible" How about sprint rethinking parts of the nv to include the back haul delays and finding a solution instead of letting these "contractors" dictate the "play" Lets use NY as an example, if ny is completely upgraded to 98% the rest are back haul, get those guys out over to New Haven, CT. now New Haven could have 2x people working on towers. Once new haven is done up to Hartford, CT and so on. It would be like a wave, once the metro area is done you can still have crews to do the outskirts.
  4. I have never rooted for someone as much as I do Sprint and pay them monthly??? This is a costly underdog for me, hopefully the stock will pay us back! Sprint should tell the vendors to reorganize their efforts, STOP working outside the metro areas, bring everyone in to expedite the builds. Once the large pops in their perspective region/area are done start on the surrounding sites..
  5. Ass crack (couldnt resist) wise crack
  6. I just ordered one off of amazon, it was $34 bucks for a 16g, should hold me over till the s5 comes out. (i will pass the n5 onto the wife who doesnt know it yet). I am really looking forward to trying this out, we have lte on 1900 and 1 800 tower so I am excited!
  7. I agree, I just hope they can open their eyes and see it too. Sprints reputation seems to be the number one problem. Many don't know what sprint is doing they just hear "sprint sucks" and stay away.
  8. I guess it would be about cost. Does anyone know how much more it would cost to set up MV until the backhaul gets done? I have no Idea
  9. Very true, but sprint makes the argument that they compete against verizon not tmo...and tmo against att? I know these 2 dont compete, however it seems many times our government often sides on the belief who ever contributed the most. Comcast will increase prices and we will suffer, They have a clause where they don't compete. So how is that good for the consumer? Our govt Didnt step to say anything. (Yet)
  10. I can't believe comcast could pull this off! Feel really bad for you guys as I directv tv! I do have cc for internet though but dtv/cc/vonage is cheaper than the cc bundle of nothing that I was offered. I dont get how this can be allowed and tmo/sprint can't? Only in America I guess. Comcast will choke everyone while sprint and tmo fight for a few subs, while eventually att and vzw are allowed to absorb them in a couple of presidents from now....smh
  11. I am happy sprint dodged a bullet, not near the gains of others but a plus is a plus. Do tablets count as new customers if you already have a sprint account? Lets hope sprint can keep it going. On a side note, I was in the sprint store looking at the flex, the sales rep was pushing to a note 3 I explained to him that it wasnt triband - he and his boss agreed it was and told me to check. Anyways, I asked them to get the boxes out and showed them it wasn't. They looked online and finally agreed. My point is, this could also be a reason of disappointment if customers are being misguided into something that they are told will work for whatevEr their needs may be. These guys swore the note 3 was spark enabled!
  12. Son is a brave man. Just the fact of buying Sprint and in 6 months going after tmo shows how high his expectations are. I honestly think he thought his name or reputation alone would make sprint turn around and allow him to buy tmo. I believe he is finding out the hard way that things don't go as planned and there are other forces that don't want you to succeed. I can't tell you the last time I saw a sprint commercial. Mr Son, it's time to roll up your sleeves and fight! Get a game plan and lets get going! Maybe Hesse is a good guy but not the right fit anymore? Sprint/son have got to get people to believe again- find a marketing campaign and get it rolling, start in areas that the new service is working well.
  13. I am not sure if tmo would be willing to take a significant cut, they are doing well. Since sprint and dish already have a partnership, and it seems the feds won't just let sprint buy tmo maybe the "couple of weeks" sprint needs to make a decision is now including Charli I think we will soon find out. Either son gets tmo and gives up a lot, or maybe they will overpay for uscc, and pick up others. I understand that the feds want 4, but if all that remains is 4 isn't that the same thing? If everyone gobbles up the little guys, someone loses out somewhere.
  14. I am not sure but something surprising is def going on, Son and is probably thinking of a way to get around Feds. I don't think dish is doing well and most likely Won't make a move yet. If charlie does make the move, I suspect sprint will be involved somehow as charlie would like some of the 25/2600.
  15. I think if Sprint doesn't buy or ink some network sharing deal with tmo, tmo will start attacking Sprint as they did ATT. That said, what if Sprint does exactly what you say, then work out a deal with tmo so they can purchase the 600?
