    Here's my 'wishlist' of network tweaks I hope Sprint will accomplish by the end of next year: 1. Density coverage 25% within native footprint with full build tri-band setups such as converting iDen and Clear sites not already co-located. 2. Convert all GMO's and remaining legacy sites to full build where possible, new sites near by where it's not. 3. Ready IBEZ sites for 800 when licenses are clear. 4. Deploy carrier aggregation on SMR and PCS in addition to BRS/EBS 5. Begin deploying small cells in mass to density B41 coverage in urban areas. 6. Deploy 10x10 PCS carriers in markets where spectrum is available, in second 5x5 blocks if not 7. Fire Swiftel and overlay coverage, merge with Ntelos and USCC 8. Convert all protection sites to full builds 9. Get backhaul to sites by any means necessary Hopefully at least most of these will happen.     Correction: **EDGE of coverage We pay an average of 45 / line on our family plan AND we recently got 4 iPhone 6's on lease for an extra $4 /month with zero down. I'll take that over drinking the T-Mobile kool-aid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A few of my friends have T-Mobile. Their signals can't penetrate most brick buildings around here and they hate it. And I'm not just talking LTE, they literally can't make phone calls inside. I don't have that issue with Sprint 95% of the time, and the other 5%, I still get a 3G voice signal. I won't consider T-Mobile as a viable competitor to the other three until they secure low band spectrum in my area. They may be able to get away with not having any in urban Chicago, but out in the suburbs the experience on their network is less than desirable. If I considered switching based on peak speeds, I would be making a foolish decision because I would be giving up unlimited data and calling on a consistent network.     I know Spark Turbo areas around me only encompass the immediate vicinity of upgraded Clear B41 towers . The other Sprint B25/B26 sites, and even a couple B25/B26/B41 that are around do not have the turbo shade centered under them yet. So I presume upgraded/properly provisioned backhaul is your answer.

    So I'll be traveling down to Orlando Jan 23- Feb 1. I'm looking forward observing how much the network has changed since the beginning of May. Pretty much my last impression of Orlando was a B25 only market, no 1x800, but with blotches of Clear 41 here and there. I've witnessed the transformation here in Chicago over the last 6 months and I can only imagine the experience in Orlando is 110% better than it was 7 months ago.

    Pretty much a 45 billion dollar capital outflow from the telecom segment. This is what happens when an industry becomes fiercely competitive. Economic benefit is now shifting- margins and cash flow are being pressured throughout the wireless industry and the losses to the owners of capital are now being shifted in the form of benefit to consumers (lower prices, better value). Shareholders typically care about how much money a company can make and how fast it can grow, and this is coming under pressure. This is more so the story for AT&T and VZW, but Sprint and T-Mobile have been sliding down with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tethering will really only appeal to a small percentage of users. Who needs tethering anymore when you can pretty much do everything on your phone? I'll bet 80% of subs don't have a need for tethering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    No issues with Sync on my 2010 Mercury Mariner. Bluetooth works great but I wish it would show the actual song name/artist like it does when I hook it to USB. It does feel a bit out of date but it was built almost 5 years ago lol.     I don't think Sprint should write off PCS just yet, especially in markets without B26. It will still be a good 1-2 years until we see B41 fully deployed across the entire footprint and see B26 in the IBEZ, so any capacity on PCS that can be added (and even aggregated!) in the sore spots of Sprint's network will still be beneficial and would provide almost immediate results, IMO.     I've been on the wait list for almost a year.. Should be a matter of a couple days until I can download it, my position on the wait list went down 10,000 overnight.     I can't say I have the issue with my iPhone 6. It hands off and latches onto LTE at every opportunity, even when I am streaming music on Spotify. Of course I am in an super mature market with just about every site with B25/26 LTE, and about 1/3 with B41. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I thought I would start a topic to discuss things such as LTE-A / Carrier Aggregation and '5G' technologies. We all know Sprint is planning on using CA with their 2.5 deployments, however I am curious to learn about what other carriers are doing as well.I know AT&T is actively using CA now, so I am told, and there are a number of devices currently capable of taking advantage of this. With that said, I am also curious to know if Sprint's current equipment is capable - and if the company is willing - to aggregate multiple PCS LTE channels in places like the Shentel and Chicago markets. Possibly even a step further with SMR LTE, although unlikely from what I've read in previous discussions. I have heard that AT&T (and maybe VZW?) are aggregating 700/CLR/PCS/AWS spectrum. Has anyone experienced this yet in the field? Another point of discussion is '5G'. I briefly remember hearing about how they are going about doing 5G, which would be something crazy like advanced MIMO tech and high frequency spectrum deployments (5000 Mhz +). Is anyone aware if Sprint is exploring this? Or if any other carriers are moving forward with this technology?

    That looks to be the tower by my old office on the northeast side of Research Park / southeast side of UCF campus. I think those are antenna housing cylinders but I couldn't tell you their purpose.. Possibly to protect from lightning, birds, interference? Honestly just looks like a bunch of cigarettes to me..
