  1. The Stip is tricky because some sites are nicly hidden but the one I found was in the Gettho part of the strip (North End) I will send MacInJosh the pictures for posting
  2. There is B41 on the Strip! Well, it may not be active yet but the panels and ray's have been hung. Took pictures today and upload them tomorrow when I return to SoCal. There is a lot of improvement on B25 but I am sure Sprint will eventually get them done.
  3. We still have too many brown spots on our map. Just take a look at the progress maps and you start to cry. Still, we have the sun and that beats Chiraq all the time.
  4. You are right and Sprint needs to improve the customer experience by 100%. You expect Verizon and AT&T to work and with Sprint you have the "hope" that you will get service. Even in congested markets, you rely on Verizon because their network just is available and even if there is just the illusion, being connected and being happy are not what I would associate with Sprint. Okay, I have a B41 site close to my house and good speeds but these speeds are not consistent.
  5. I think it all depends where in LA you are. The market is not as advanced in terms of NV build and Sprint still has to get a lot of sites updated. Chiraq is almost done with all their updates.
  6. Where in Hayward have you found this?
  7. During my last visit to Las Vegas I was able to see a real Sprint B25/B41 deployment and there is no problem switching between bands. I noticed that most of the calls started on 800Mhz which is not bad so you are able to connect. In my home market, I am not able to see this issue yet because I am still on a single band LTE device and I can't always charm my sister to get her phone unless she is driving.
  8. I only notice this problem wenn you see the Clearwire Network ID, because Sprint managed a clean handover on their own B25/41 build What has Wimax to do with this? Isn't Clearwire able to ID their network as Sprint?
  9. I see this only in areas with Sprint's LTE and Clearwire's LTE build. Not sure because the two networks have a different Network ID. In areas with Sprint B25/B41 build, there is no problem switching between the networks.
  10. I drove to Oakland today on I-880 and I noticed that there could be an issue with the network handover between Sprint's LTE deployment on 1900 Mhz and Clearwire's deployment on 2500Mhz. I had to force the phone into Airplane mode to get the LTE to register again. Started the trip in Downtown San Jose on sweet B41 coverage, and I was able to keep this for a long time while driving on I-880. Eventually the service dropped to 3G coverage but LTE was available when foced to scan again. Is this a network issue or a problem with the phone, in this case a stock LG G2?
  11. Some people don't read that good You don't get to roam in Mexico, but you can call it...
  12. It shouldn't be a big issue but I know that FreedomPOP uses a modified firmware. Not sure what was changed besides graphic elements but there is always something. I guess they get the devices so cheap that they could give them away because I am sure the $19.99 covers s/h and device just fine. Clear had plenty left before they stopped selling them.
  13. I'm going a lot to Mexico and I never had any issues down there. Crime happens in all areas, even in your local backyard and they call Chicago not for no reason Chiraq
  14. If you can do with Wi-Fi, you may want to try the FreedomPOP OTT app or the MagicJack app (both for Android / iPhone)
  15. These offers are for the Wimax equipment only and you still have to pay $149 for the LTE hotspot.
  16. From FierceWireless: In addition to the launch of new LTE devices, FP has launched an Androind OTT version for FREE calls. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprint-mvno-freedompop-launches-20-lte-plan-adds-samsung-phones-lineup/2014-05-22
  17. I'm telling you, don't text and drive...
  18. I know that link but nothing was announced but it does not explain the updated coverage maps. What has changed between 5/4 and 5/19
  19. I just checked the Sprint website an noticed that their coverage map was updated. Any new cities officially launched with LTE service?
  20. Thank you but that way he can select the ones that go in this or a premium forum
  21. I actually found the active tower today because the tower I banned on camera seems not to be fully active yet. I will forward the images to MacInJosh so he can put them online
  22. Not sure yet because I will venture out into the city today. I am planning to look at a Clearwire site I know is located at the D parking garage and that you can take close ups and I want to see if they been updating the site. I will see if I can map the current cluster a little better.
  23. I drove around and I found 7 sites with the same setup so there is hope that Sprint will launch Las Vegas as a Spark market from the start.
  24. It seems like it because I checked this morning the B25 and B41 signal strength and B41 is still winning. Not sure why but I bet that Sprint is currently testing signals and it makes it easier to connect to B41. Guess some of the technical people here will be able to explain what Sprint is doing.
