  1. Question: Why is the 3g icon displayed as the old compared to the current one on the G2 which is 3g in a circular ring.
  2. You realize that Sprint carries the Tri-Band S4 model....
  3. To check what PRL your on do the following. -menu->settings->about->status The current PRL on the device will show
  4. Some devices had updated on it's own while others were updated with the user initiating a manual push. xxx18 was the initial push followed the xxx00. Once all the 18 were implemented across all servers the 00 was immediately released. I myself experienced the automated push by Sprint on the initial xxx18 but had the xxx00 updated when I did a manual push this past Thursday. It doesn't specify timetable for each PRL but in reading it I surmised once the initial push was competed the 2nd would follow and a week later is simply put impressive. This is one time I'm glad we didn't have to wait for updates months apart, lol. I'm just glad it's done and looking forward ECSTATICALLY to Kit Kat 4.4.2
  5. I posted a link to this earlier but I guess no one saw but this is what's up in regards to the PRL push by Sprint. FYI...... Some information I came across in regards to the Sprint PRL push. " On Thursday, 2/27/14, Sprint will release PRLs ending in xxx00 and xxx18 to OTA servers. These PRLs will be released to drive additional cost savings for Sprint and Affiliates across several roaming markets. To realize these savings, Sprint will begin proactively pushing the National PRL to subscribers with push-capable handsets/PDAs in these markets, then to the entire base. " How will these PRL's reduce costs? Less roaming Just thought I'd pass this along.
  6. FYI Here's some information put out last week in regards to the PRL push. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4886-lg-g2-users-thread/?p=288732
  7. I haven't had any issues so everyone who is I hope the situation gets better for you guys. I've been on band 25 before and after the spark update so looks like I'm waiting on 41 & 26 as well as everyone for Kit Kat.
  8. I have and this was the end result. http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS980-SPRINT/latest
  9. Neither. The hyper link was part of the notification received via email.
  10. I didn't type anything, all I did was click on the link which is highlighted in blue like all links are and it took me to that Forbidden site.
  11. The link to the " device.sprintpcs.com " won't allow access, says ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access / on this server.
  12. You mean " it is officially rolling out " as per the link.
  13. It might but that's a long shot considering history has shown verizon adding tons of bloatware and really never in a rush to be first on updates. I see Sprint pushing KitKat at least by end of the 3rd Qtr of 2014 so in essence it's anytime from here on out.......

  15. I don't know about yours since I'm not there to see it however it has done it in the past every time I force push a prl/profile update. priority 1 for band 41, 2 for band 26 and 3 for band 25 all get defaulted to priority 1 which changes the radio bands of that order.
  16. That's a new one, I currently have 55017 so I'll push a manual PRL and see what happens. Unfortunately I'll need to reset the priority bands again since it'll default them back to Priority 1 all across vs having now at band 41 - 1, 26 - 2, 25 - 3
  17. Sprint has been good so far on pushing the update on Kit Kat: HTC One, Samsung Note 3, S4 before the other carriers. The G2 should becoming around the corner I'm really surprised AT&T along with tmobile has release theirs ahead of time. In any case really looking forward to it. I've read from other G2 owners it actually made it a faster smoother performance than it already is, lol . Overall they really liked it and now having 4k video recording is a bonus and the Knock on feature has improved. Plus other enhancements.....
  18. Okay I see what your driving at and this could go into what you just said....( See link ). http://www.phonedog.com/2014/02/27/t-mobile-lg-g2-android-4-4-2-update-discovered-on-lg-s-servers-made-available-for-download/
  19. Here's a pic of an updated G2 from a tmobile consumer......( See link ) http://imgur.com/biVeu6o
  20. Looks like tmobiles G2 is pushing out KitKat Via LG Mobile Software Tool. ( See link ) This can only mean Sprints Kit Kat update is not too far since it's common knowledge verizon takes forever to push out updates...... I've tried to use that software but it doesn't recognize the device and the drop down menu doesn't include Sprints model to update drivers. There's seems to be no software from LG for Sprints G2 model. I miss that since I used Samsung kias to updated my previous S2 device and it worked wonders. http://imgur.com/50RrtGX
  21. Pretty much what everyone has recommend. Smartphone in one pocket only and screen protector with case/cover. I use both a case cover and screen protector plus the phone doesn't share real estate in my pocket, lol. The case/cover/screen protector I currently use is my profile pic....
  22. I'm glad to hear it and enjoy your update.
  23. jmvaldez03 Initiate a manual systems update on both the PRL/PROFILE then reboot and check if it corrected it.
