  1. OR could it also be a typo on LG part.....Hmm.
  2. I'm curious as to when will it start being pushed being that LG's website hasn't updated there's to match Sprint's post on the availability . http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000003-CT10000027-1386799961730
  3. I'm fully aware of that nexgencpu in regards to lte and spark being the same but it felt weird asking if that was lte or spark lte, lol. So I differentiate regular lte from lte on steroids by simply asking it in that manner. I'm sitting on band 25 in my market area and never goes past 35Mpbs dn or 10Mpbs up
  4. Sweet speed performance, is that LTE or SPARK?!
  5. It was either a spark update or a prl update....
  6. This late in the afternoon there's no doubt Kit Kat 4.4.2 for the G2 will be released come Monday 31 March so the only question remains to beg is what time of day... Morning --- Noon ---- Afternoon??? What's a few more days.
  7. I haven't had any major issues with the G2 so I'm sold on it. The N5 is a great device for a pure Google experience but the G2 overall exceeds everything else the N5 has to offer. The main strengths the G2 has over the N5 is battery and camera everything else it's on par. Any and all issues I've had with the G2 like hangouts & voice mail I simple were easy fix and switching between 4G and 3G at random at any given time is seldom but it does happen and that's a network issue within certain markets and again that was an easy fix for me. About the only thing I ALWAYS do is perform a factory reset after each software/firmware update to the device no matter what it is and it's worked out great. IMHO
  8. If you're experiencing the 129 data connection error, try calling advanced tech support and have them rebuild/refresh your network settings and see if it fixes you. I'm baffled as to the why part. In any case, I found a listing of all the Sprint error codes and what really catches my eye is the fact it says this: Error Codes - RFC 2002 (129) 129 Administratively Prohibited Mobile should display "Unknown error. Sign in failed. Please try again. If the problem persists, turn your phone off then turn it on again." Maybe wherever you were with your phone Sprint wasn't letting you use the net at that time.
  9. Same here I rarely get 3G but for some reason randomly once in a blue moon it does it but for the most part 4G LTE on band 25 since I don't get 41 or 26 in my market even thought I set defaults to priority 1 on band 41 and P2 on band 26 and P3 on band 25 on the hand set.
  10. No but I'm noticed today it switching to 3G so I initiated a PRL update brought it back to 4G LTE.
  11. Wow really, Sprint is going to take it till the end of month, lol. Talk about holding true to their word. Eh no biggie, it would have been nice to get it later tonight or even this weekend but we've waited this long so Monday is just a few more days down the road. Still looking forward to KIT KAT!!
  12. Yep it sure is.... HTC One Max on Sprint Gets a Taste of KitKat!http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/03/htc-one-max-sprint-gets-taste-kitkat.html It would seem HTC may have started on kit kat ahead of LG so that's no surprise since the One received it in January 2014 as far as Sprint devices go. Sprint Spark may have also played a role in it's later release vs non Sprint Spark devices.
  13. Is it a flashable zip or simply a source code and we'll have to wait for OTA since LG PC suite and Mobile support tool software doesn't work for the LS980.
  14. What does this mean and how can we get it onto the G2 NOW!?
  15. FYI LG Knock Code coming to G2 and G Flex in April
  16. Here you go, courtesy of halcyoncmdr There's going to be an update.zip file on XDA somewhere that removes the security check. Should be able to be flashed from recovery without issue. I'm not rooted on my G2 (have been on all my previous devices) so I haven't been keeping up this time around. I can't imagine it's much different than HTC and Samsung updates though from my experience in the past. Best of luck! halcyoncmdr.
  17. Not sure why it won't take if it's no longer rooted and flashed back to OG setup. Doing a systems clean and perhaps running all the systems updates starting with prl, profile, firmware then lg software. The last resort is to return reset to manufacture settings and began fresh start.
  18. The device won't take OTA updates rooted.
  19. That's what I'm starting to believe as well but in some of the posts it references issues after updates and such so that's why I was really feeling bad for them. One thing that has to be considered is that the prl updates recently pushed out were designed to be money savers meaning that the radio will connect to the Sprint tower/antenna vs the best signal which may or may not be Sprint's tower. Just a thought....
  20. Wow in reading all the postings in regards to radio issues on a wonderful device as the LG G2 I can't but feel for you guys and really hope it gets resolved very soon! I on the other hand have had the G2 since the holidays 2013 and really had had any major issues to report since I had it and after all the updates pushed out. I just can't feel what you guys must be going through but can only imagine. In any case I always initiate a factory rest when updates are pushed regardless of what type. I'm not rooted or flashed and I don't require an air ave. Totally stock and I've enjoyed it thus far. Good luck to you all!
  21. Scale!! “We need a certain scale, but once we have enough scale to have a level fight, OK,” Son said during the interview with Rose, airing nationally in the U.S. “It’s a three-heavyweight fight. If I can have a real fight, I go in more massive price war, a technology war.” Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/2014/03/11/4881008/sprint-chairman-masayoshi-son.html#storylink=cpy Masayohsi Son
  22. Ah okay, I missed that.....
  23. The GS3 is not a Tri-Band device therefore not spark capable to receive the software update.
  24. but but but how will compare to LGs next line up of devces, namely G3 and G PRO2?? I happy with the HTC One and the G2 I have. Both get great reception...
