Seems like great news all around...I'm still reading everything however did they mention when all of this will be rolled out?
-
Which phones will be the first to offer High Power LTE UE for Band 41 and when should we expect them? What kind of performance improvement should we expect from these new handsets?
Does Sprint ever plan on supporting international LTE roaming?
When do they plan on rolling out VoLTE? Will they try to inplement a form of VoLTE to 1x SRVCC to deal with dropped calls or will they just implement VoLTE independent of 1x?
What are Germany's chances of winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup?
Lol at the last question.
I think all flagship devices will be HP LTE UE capable next year. I wonder when Sprint will deploy 4xCA?

What kind questions are we going ask gunther on next ama on reddit. Mind will be do yo have money for theses dam gmos sites for lte.
I want more clarification about the sattelite LTE backhaul through Gilat

So hopefully next year's iPhone will benefit from this? (Of course.... Apple does what it feels like doing.)
They've been pretty good since the iPhone 6 launch
-
Yep. Slated for next years flagships.
Double the transmit power from the UE.
Wait so my iPhone 7+ is already outdated lol

In really optimistic about the network in 2017. Hopefully this will be the year that people will take notice that they are all the other 3 carriers ass.
Does anyone know the total length of projected time it's going to take to deploy out their small cells? I wonder how many permits have been approved and because we are coming up on the winter months I wonder how this will possibly slow down deploying the cells.

No idea but based on the info I've read once the permit gets approved it should take that long since they are not running fiber to the pole but A.J, Tim, and Robert are the experts

Simultaneous voice and data works great through third party apps. As atrocious as Snapchat is as an app coded by a financially successful corporate entity (it consistently crashes on anything with less than a Snapdragon 810 with 4GB of RAM when you go to take a photo or try to use the UI as intended), it works well for me as a high (voice) quality VOIP solution that just about all of my peers use. And I can browse the web while in call.
I use hangouts from time to time but when people call me it goes through the normal dialect system through my iPhone, also when I call out it shows my number as all 0's or unknown.

That's pretty awesome. Now bring on the small cells lol. I swear if we all played a drinking game based on the amount of times they said:
Small cells
Our spectrum....
2.5 gives us advantage
In coming weeks
We all would be dead by now lol

T-Mobile doesn't have hspa+ footprint as large as there LTE, they sacrificed some for other, it was either or, which is why you drop to Edge losing lte in some places

Ahh i didn't know that. Learn something new every day on this site

I've used VOLTE on my Vzw work phone. It has dropped calls at work sometimes. Vzw loses LTE sometimes where I work.

Pretty sure T-Mobiles VoLTE falls back on to HSPA+ and/ or wifi calling.
-
The user experience would be very lacking. They are #1 or #2 when it comes to voice as it is now. I feel if they turned it on now, they'd drop to #3 and mostly #4. As we have seen with TMobile, VoLTE doesn't fix everything. This seems to be an area that TMobile was struggling with before VoLTE and still is with VoLTE. If you have quality issues it is even recommended to turn VoLTE OFF.
I have a feeling we won't really see VoLTE on a large scale until 3G starts to officially die off. Roaming LTE should help with users VoLTE experience on Sprint.
That's to long in my opinion. I think they should make the feature optional. I'm connected to LTE 98% of the time so I won't have severe issues.

It does?

Don't forget John Saw is speaking at the global tech conference at 5:30pm EST. Hopefully we get new info (I doubt it lol)

I heard a very credible rumor a couple months ago that Sprint was going to make every Sprint store a Pokestop. I bet this is the announcement that it's really happening. While some people say it's not cool, It will drive traffic. At worst, it's an easy way to increase visibility.

Probably a lte roaming deal with Claro
-
Is there people that still play that game.?
Sent from my 2PS64 using Tapatalk
Don't think so. I stopped playing months ago lol. I guess because of the school year and it's colder outside, no one wants to play.
-
Hope it's not a T-MOBILE thing where you won't use data when playing, Pokémon GO uses very little data.
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
I doubt it since most ppl on sprint has unlimited plans.

Where is the "Please No,God no!" gif right now.. I Need it....

Well, hopefully it is actually "cool". Sometimes what sprint thinks is cool and what is cool isn't exactly the same thing.

Sprint is making an announcement about something with Pokémon Go tomorrow

It's about time. Sprint is way overdue for VoLTE or at least simultaneous voice and data. My connection told me a few months ago that sprint definitely will not be releasing it in 2016 so maybe that means early 2017? If that's the case maybe I'll stay and not go elsewhere
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Same here. I hope they launch it before the iPhone 8 (7s). But I have a feeling VoLTE won't come until 5G becomes a thing lol
-
I want to know about expanding coverage. But that be a question to ask in the AMA session.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think that will tie into the partnership with Gilat (providing LTE Satellite backhaul for rural and metro edge areas). Sprint hasn't comment on that since Gilat's announcement back in October

It seems like you will need a new phone every year to take advantage of the latest network technology.
Thank goodness I'm on iPhone forever lol
