So sexy!!! Did you do a speed test?

Is it only older iPhones that show bandwidth on the field test?

Yup

Picked up this Carrier in DC.
Possibly the third carrier. I was near national mall going towards DuPont

Dish can wait until Sprint/T-mobile merge then buy one of the networks.
I don't think they will merge. It's being a reported that the cable companies are eyeing T-Mobile but we shall see

What was the outcome of this?
Should Sprint and Dish revisit this?

Random: but one of my friends and I went to see Rogue one, he has T-Mobile (major fanboy) and constantly talks down about sprint. Well we were in theater and he had no service and I had 3 bars of LTE lol
I honestly can't remember when my phone said "no service" or "extended".
Of course each market is different but I was pretty shocked that he didn't have service at all since T-Mobile is fairly good in the D.C. Metro area.

Sounds like the 3rd carrier then.

Could be ...but why is it only in Frederick, maybe they're testing it there and hopefully it will be deployed everywhere else? Hmmm

Is 39956 different from the first 2?
Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
Yes, so far I picked up 41176 and 41374 but in Montgomery County ( I swore I picked up 40978 at one point) but I drove to Frederick last week and today and I noticed I was connected to 39956.

I picked this band 41 carrier in Frederick MD which is right outside the DC Metro Area....maybe this is the 3rd carrier?

Wonder if 4xca is on the list of Sprints plans?
Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
I'm sure it is since they are already talking about 5xCA.

I phone 7 is 3 carrier aggregation ready out the box
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
"Speaking of three carrier aggregation and MIMO, Sprint noted an update will be made available “very, very early in 2017” to enable 3CA on popular devices like Apple's iPhone and flagship devices from Samsung, HTC, LG, and Kyocera. A path is also in place to release a 3CA update for Google's Pixel, Sullivan said. By the end of 2017, Sprint said it anticipates half of all its customers will have a 3CA-capable device in their hands."

I phone 7 is 3 carrier aggregation ready out the box
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's false. Only device that supports it right out the box is the HTC Bolt and I guess the Samsung galaxy s7s now, everything else needs an update
-
I wonder when the iPhone 7 get the update...will it just be a carrier settings update or bundled with the next iTunes update?

Did Marcelo mention anything today? Wasn't he scheduled to speak?

Any pictures of that?
Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
I didn't connect to all 3 of the same time but yes I can send screenshots later.
I live in Montgomery County which is the suburb of DC so I would assume all 3 carriers will have the same

I think they are assuming there will be one because of the Inauguration network announcement around the same time four years ago. That said, work on the DC network has pretty much stalled over the past year or so.
So I connected to EARFCN 40978, 41176, and 41374 in the D.C. Metro area... so maybe the DC metro area has 3 carriers active?

maybe a new Marco site
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Could be since it shows "Clearwire Band 41".
-
Just looking forward to sprints big announcement next week... hopefully regarding VoLTE or simultaneous voice and data at least like the other carriers
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think we'll get that announcement until end of 2017 or early 2018 tbh.

It would be nice if the third carrier was live in time for the Presidential Inauguration on January 20th, especially given the huge influx of people to the DC Area for it.
Curious to hear what Sprint's preparation plans are for it: COWs, etc.
Here's what Sprint did back in 2013:
Sprint Prepares its Network for 2013 Presidential Inauguration
Given the timing of the prior announcement (January 10, 2013), perhaps an update on this will be published in the coming week(s).
I'm sure they will do something yuuugggeeee lol

I have yet to observe third carrier in the DC market, which I'm pretty sure is an ALU market. Wonder when it will go live.

Same but to be sure which carrier is the 3rd carrier?
