Not sure. What's the deadline for them to use it or lose it?
I wonder how the value of that spectrum is holding up... or not.
I think it's next year but I'm not sure. It's crazy to think Dish almost owned Sprint 3 years ago and Dish hasn't done anything with its own spectrum in the last 3 years

Has Dish done anything with its Spectrum yet? Lol

[emoji19] I seriously hope he not meeting to talk possibly merger. If that's the case I wish he just be honest that he bit off more than he could chew with Sprint.
I see don't see what both T-Mobile and Sprint merging will do besides increase the total count of customers. The majority of their coverage overlaps minus where T-Mobile has expanded out. Sprint in my eyes doesn't need a merger cause they have the tools to be a force in wireless but I guess in sons eyes things aren't happening fast enough.

Exactly. Both companies are doing well. That's why I would prefer Son acquire Dish over T-Mobile. It will have less hurdle with the FCC, more spectrum for Sprint, and It can compete with ATT/Direct Tv.
That's just my opinion.

SoftBank’s Son Said to Plan Meeting With Trump in New York

Move foward. I know city and baltimore county for green light
Hopefully the D.C. Metro area will follow

That is a lot small cells in area . That demand is going be that high. But I think they have no choice fcc rules are going to allow them not matter what.
Allow them to be built or not?
-
Looks like there're many tough battles to fight before the small cells can be built. The Mobilitie guy in this townhall meeting looks inept and shady.

My old middle school!!!! And dang, I live in MoCo (deep sigh)

I know and agree. Small cells don't work everywhere. Like roaming areas.

Not trying to bring politics on here but with a Trump presidency, what does this say for Sprint's future? Can we expect a merger deal with T-Mobile be more favorable?
-
Lol oh Masa. I swear I have a love/hate him. I doubt this will happen (only because of his failed promises in the pass) however it seems Sprint is not a huge burden of SoftBank anymore so maybe Masa will invest more into Sprint.
Also with Sprint partnering with Gilat for sattelite LTE backhaul, that will give sprint to deploy LTE quicker in rural areas.
-
Found this too. Not sure if this has been posted on here. I haven't logged in for 2 weeks lol

What happened to the idea of one macro feeding mini macros and small cells through microwave? Now it's going to satellite as well?
One thing we know with sprint is nothing is ever final until it's final.
I think the Macro/Mini/ Small plan is for more urban markets while sattelite is for more rural areas.

Here's another interesting thing

I'm happy with Sprint right now. All I want now is VoLTE but other than that I'm happy.
Do you guys think we will get 4xCA next year? Also any word on CA between TD and FDD LTE?

Seems like Cramer and Marcelo are becoming besties lol
Also Sprint apparently has $11 billion in liquidity. I guess that's good

So ever since I downloaded iOS 10 my phone has dropped to 3G once. It used to drop to 3G all the time. Maybe sprint's lte network is ready for volte but our devices were fooling us this whole time lol.
But in all seriousness the difference is night and day.

Exactly what Jonny said! I don't know if 3xCA is even turned on for the iPhone 7/+ anyway
-
According to this
http://m.imore.com/wireless-iphone-7-everything-you-need-know
the iPhone 7 can only do uplink CA on bands 7 and 41.
Band 41 is owned by sprint so it should be able to do it. unless you mean CA between 7 and 41 together
-
I know it's early but has anyone experience uplink CA yet?
-
This sounds like this spectrum will not be commercially deployed for at LEAST 5 years from now. What do you guys think?
Crazy. Glad Sprint stayed away from this auction

This is only for Apple stores, correct? I can still walk into a Sprint store in the morning and have a chance for a plus model?
Possibly.

I think the 7plus black models are back ordered. So far no one has received their tracking numbers for those devices

Same. Don't forget John Saw (Sprint's CTO) is speaking tomorrow at a global tech conference so hopefully we learn something tomorrow and then a follow up during the AMA session.

I just want a concrete window for VoLTE lol
