  1. I'll assume you didn't factory reset after the update? I haven't factory reset, probably the first time I haven't after an update, and I'm not seeing any of those issues. My B41, B26 is far better. I've certainly haven't had any freezes. Maybe try a factory reset? sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  2. I just upgraded my wife's line to this $5 lease on the S5. Pretty slick. I'll do the rest in a couple weeks. It's all legit from what the Sprint store guy told me. Pretty knowledgeable dude. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  3. Right that's a downside for me too but phones are so good now, they last for 2 years easy. I'm worried about subsidies leaving this summer. If that's the case my scheme is boned and I'll get no new phones rapidly regardless so might as well jump on this. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  4. Are we talking about this new Loyalty Offer here? I want to discuss this some. Seems like a pretty good deal, but I'm wondering what the catch might be. $5 leasing for life. As far as I can see, if we do this, and continue to do this, we get the device for 24 months paying $5 a month (5x24 is $120) for as long as leasing exists (hopefully eternally). BUT this locks you into that phone and doesn't allow you to upgrade any phones earlier than 24 months. The FAQ on leasing says that you have to use Easy Pay if you want to upgrade early. Is this true? I thought the iphone for life plan allowed a yearly upgrade for those leasing. We have an old Everything Data Share plan so we'll qualify. My thing is that I've got an S5 now, my family has an S4, S4, S3, and iphone5S on my other lines. I think it would make sense to upgrade all these phones now to S5 (or iphone 6) to get into the program to get cheap phones by lease. If subsidies are really leaving this summer, I think now is the time to jump on this. (and perhaps sell back all my devices to Sprint) The only downside to this is my subsidy phone scheme I've been running where I end up getting a new phone about every 12 months would be over AND we will no longer own any devices to keep for our growing little ones eventually. But seriously, they'll probably have hover hologram phones by then. Any thoughts? Good deal? What's the pitfall to this?
  5. Got my first one late last night. So lame they didn't fix that. Up to MKD for RDF already! Exciting times!
  6. Yeah, I did it. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  7. You guys see this? $5 phones for life on lease. http://support.sprint.com/support/article/title/1262a1a4-1c34-4543-b69d-d1e30f3931a7 sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  8. Dudes, Culvers is indeed incredibly delicious. Now I may have to just stop on the way home and get some.
  9. After taking my S5 to the Fitchburg Splashpad and being able to chase my daughter down with great water shots without worrying, the REAL hang up for me is the water resistance or lack thereof. That and some dad next to me with this iphone dropped it into a huge puddle and his phone was instantly a paper weight, ha. anyways, good luck, I hope you get it. Perhaps we'd have to grab that beer some day soon so I can see that N6 in person. Did the store have a demo unit? I'm assuming you're going to the University Ave store?
  10. Man, I knew you'd be over here!!! Mr. I switched to an iphone and I like it. Pffffft.......Ha ha, you sound like me, I want this thing badly, BUT I don't want the 32GB version, however I don't want to pay full retail. (would kind of like the white version too)
  11. It's not out yet. There's a testing build that exists (via the RDF). That video was the international version of the S5 running an exclusive peak at a build that Sammobile has. Sammobile has someone on the inside at the Samsung Mobile division for sure they get everything early.
  12. What's the model number for the Sport? (ie, S5 is SM-G900P) Nevermind, I found it G860P. I don't see anything past NJ2 (I'll assume you have NG1 on there now) http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SM-G860P-SPRINT/NJ2.rdf but that's still listed as 4.4.2
  13. NKB in testing.....guess what, ladies....Android 5.0 http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SM-G900P-SPRINT/NKB.rdf sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  14. Look over the last 2 pages. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  15. Can you take a screenshot of what you're talking about? sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  16. Man, WFC is nice to have when you really, really need it, but I didn't realize I wasn't getting MMS messages (on Hangouts or Messenger(Google one)), missing calls from WiFi AP handoffs or weak spots. It interfered with my GPS lock only in Maps and Waze. It's a mess unless you really need it. Like I said, excellent for dungeons though if you're aware of the issues it can cause. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  17. Haven't seen it, however I've been numb to its presence occasionally as of late. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  18. Yeah, it's totally possible its related to Hangouts too.
  19. Have you ever rooted your phone? That is a provisioning code from Sprint, from what I've been told in the past. You're going to just have to block that number otherwise they'll never stop. I had rooted my S4 and tinkered some with the baseband. Then I started getting those texts and they never stopped until I blacklisted that number. I even gave that phone over to my wife and wiped everything, still got the texts. Very weird, but that was the only resolution.
  20. Does anyone have a record for neighboring sites yet? Saw 12 on my way in to work, I'll try to get a screenshot for proof. Funny too because that's a real dead zone for signal usually, so it's clear that all towers around it are trying really, really, really hard to reach that area, but none are real successful.
  21. Based on my screenshot above, I have it installed. I have noticed that so far The Wireless Charging sound is now gone (finally!) The camera appears to load quicker for me, probably placebo effect My phone latches on to B41 LTE2500 from much, much further out My phone book actually downloaded over my bluetooth connection to my Dodge Durango Uconnect system (huge win there) Lock screen dots look different There's now a verified area of settings for apps that are allowed to send text messages to avoid scams/phishing, which is nice although I can't seem to find that settings area again after it popped up Signal Check Pro now reports neighboring cells and PCI information What else are people seeing? Not ready yet to switch over to ART, but hopefully that runs smoother too.
  22. Update, NK4, is now out! Go mash the update button. It worked for me! I had to reboot 4 times after update to get everything working. 2 of those were Samsung initiated reboots. Lock screen looks slightly different. Time to dig into what's different. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  23. The S5 just got 4.4.4 (check your updates if you have one, NK4) and neighboring cells appear! Hooray! sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
