  1. There's no update for us yet that I've heard of. We will go from 4.4.2 (current NE5) to 4.4.4. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  2. I check for updated RDFs and source code posting every morning. They're working on it as new RDFs are posted. Check out this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2765798 Once the source is posted, the OTA is usually released the next day or the following. The current RDF shows NE5 (our current software) but sometimes that doesn't change until after the source is posted. RDFs just give us an idea of if sprint is testing anything and if it changes frequently they are still finding/squashing bugs and retesting.
  3. Yes* *-depends on region I'll need this is April, so I'd love to hear your experience. From what I know, you just have to unlock through Sprint before you leave. They moved the APN editing to an area in networks now. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  4. Dang, Sprint got pwned by Verizon of all carriers! http://www.droid-life.com/2014/09/09/verizon-pushing-android-4-4-4-update-to-samsung-galaxy-s5/ sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  5. At least the camera would open quickly with the aquos. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  6. Well that's silly. Let us know where you end up getting it fixed! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  7. That's not right? Did you call a Sprint repair facility? They're third party owned stores with Sprint signage and such. The corporate stores don't do repairs anymore for sure. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  8. Pretty excited about this new development with my S5. There's something that has slid down in front of the FFC, hard to see in that picture, but you can see the effect in the second picture.......I've already set up repair with Samsung, just waiting until Monday to ship it in. Back to an S3 for me for 9-11 days.
  9. Also 51102 on my GS5. Just updated. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  10. Current customers pay 160 http://support.sprint.com/support/article/FAQs_about_Sprint_Family_Share_Pack/85ba5891-1b6a-4ebf-9f2c-e16eec3ce55f sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  11. Same here, I have 5 lines, pay $240 all included, just shy of $50 per device. The framily deal was a real rook in my/our cases, IMO. Would have been $60 more a month when I calculated things out.
  12. yeah, I'll have to run my schema costs and see if we come out ahead. I use all 5 of my upgrades spread out evenly over 2 years and bump phones down the line It's a delicately balanced dance, especially when you can get some devices for $100 or less through Best Buy promos.
  13. Whaaaaa? That would be nuts and I'd switch my 5 lines immediately. We never come close to 20GB.
  14. There are review videos where people have put the S5 through a clothes washer and it was perfectly fine. So, yes, I trust it. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  15. I have this charger: http://goo.gl/QUkoCb It works very well and will charge the devices while they're doing stuff. One port delivers around 1800 mA and the other about 1500 mA (according to an app I have installed, FWIW), so short of the claimed 4.2A, but it works to keep my S5 and my wife's S4 charged up while doing stuff with them like streaming while navigating, etc. I have also found that the actual USB cable can sometimes kill the power too. I had some Amazon basics cables and they sucked.
  16. It will be in this situation that B41 will stomp the competition, eventually. Outdoor venue with enough bandwidth for all to play. Two of the towers nearest the fair grounds have not been updated fully yet with B25 and/or B26, so its still going to suck with so many people going through the same channel.
  17. Just looking at the maps for Milwaukee, you can see that 800MHz isn't going to save the coverage. There are huge, huge holes in areas without towers that aren't so porous in other cities (ie, St. Louis since I'm familiar there). And many tall, dense, old buildings in Milwaukee too. However, the grass isn't always greener with other carriers either unfortunately, especially in Milwaukee. I've heard complaints from friends that have them all (except USCC). Gotta pick the one that works the best where you live, work, and play for 93.5% of your time and up here that particularly isn't Sprint. Madison's Sprint coverage is pretty solid now, but we're quite small compared to Milwaukee's area obviously. whoops, premature send..... I will say though, anecdotally as I don't have any real hard measurements, that the towers here in Madison (in areas where there was no LTE coverage despite all towers around them having B25/B26 already) did get tuned, turned up, or optimized of some sort after about 3-4 months of being on. So perhaps there's still a chance for your area. As far as suggesting tower locations, just call in and report areas (cross streets) to the Sprintcare. I just keep peppering them with locations so they can send out "network teams". Whether they do that or not, it makes me feel like I'm helping.
  18. Use this SPCUtility apk. Can't find the original source link at this moment for credit. Worked for me to find the MSL without calling Sprint. This is my file and my Dropbox so it's clean/legit. https://www.dropbox.com/s/noxncfs3v16p7x5/SPCUtility.apk sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  19. I've had this issue too. I've also had issues with Youtube videos playing in the Chrome Browser (like embedded) causing my phone to reboot. I think these have to be Google issues and not really S5 issues exactly.

At -100 (and below) how many bars show up for you for your Sprint signal? sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  21. That's probably why mine wasn't showing B41 despite my ridiculous speeds in STL as those are all conversion sites at this point. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
  22. Does Signalcheck report you're on B41? Or only in your enginerrrrrrring screen? sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5

The Korean model is what he reviewed. They are giving away models/carriers of your choice, I believe.
  25. No idea about the system updates, I see that too. I have pushbullet mirroring all my notifications to my computer, and see it pop up occasionally. I know we'll get another ota at some point here. Just haven't seen any RDFs posted yet. sent from an underwater dust storm with my Sprint S5
