  1. ##72786# from dialer will reprovision and remove that. Safe to do.
  2. Huh, weird. Mine still work just fine. Sorry to hear about yours.
  3. 😂 Actually DO NOT enable LTE roaming otherwise it hops right back over to T-mobile. Man, this isn't a tenable solution long term. Wisconsin has a lot of huge holes in coverage that uscc lte filled.
  4. Okay, yes, that's great. Just thought I was missing something. We're all good. And thank you!
  5. I'm not sure I follow the toggling roaming situation?? None of my roaming has changed and nothing needed to be toggled? Also, you said "enabled CA profiles" as in just checked them all?? BUT I went back to the Band Selection App and set the priorities back for B41, B25, B26, rebooted, RCS seems to be working now thankfully. The Roaming status is still "not roaming" in SIM card status in settings. I did go into the ##3282# menu and enabled the LTE Roaming, which was the only thing that was "off". Band selection seems to stick fine after reboots, so I'll keep with this for a while and see what's up. Then I'll have to do all this on my wife's phone....yikes. But she'll be pissed if she tries to use her phone outside home, fortunately that hasn't been the case for her. Friggin' nightmare at a time when I (and probably many of us) don't particularly need something else like this to have to deal with.
  6. So they (Sprint) can't turn your phone back to priority for Sprint bands? Over on reddit they were saying that it was a line-by-line activation and that it could be reversed by calling tech support. I'm debating trying that, but thought others might find out first if that works without me wasting tons of time on the phone. My phone is pretty worthless outside WiFi now on the B66....it's new trick has been to latch on to the B4^2 signal, which has a little higher RSRP value but it is just as slow as B66 (1-3 Mbps down, failed uploads). I've tested the Samsung Band Selection app switching over to B41, B25, B26, but then I lose my RCS in Google Messages app. Consistent loss on testing flipping back and forth. I also went into the ##data# edit menu for the band priority and B66 isn't even listed in there. The phone is still listening to B25 priority 1, B26 priority 2, and B41 priority 3, then down on the list, but again, no B66 listed at all. This seems to be truly a cluster F of the highest order reading the comments on Reddit as well.
  7. RCS seems to not like this setup at all. Says "connecting......." in chat settings in Google Messages. Sucks!
  8. So I did this with the Band Selection app and my phone's on B41, and status is "not roaming", so 🤷‍♂️. Cell mapper data for T-mobile towers is not great for Madison. I'll monitor any adverse effects. I selected B41, B25, and B26. On the flip side, I did get like 6 phone calls today on B66 which at least 4 of those would have went to voicemail directly on Sprint's network. So I guess I have to pick data or phone calls?
  9. Had to run into work early this morning and ran some SCP and Speedtests along the way. Highest I was able to pull anywhere in Madison was 12 Mbps down 10 Mbps up nearer to downtown Madison, but MOST of it was in the 1-3 Mbps range. All stuck on B66 AWS LTE with 5 + 5 CA reported. This performance is abysmal. I was hoping that it was just my local area/tower that was weak. At least off B41 on Sprint I was getting 90+ in most all locations, but even in the slowest areas it would be 5-10. I also assumed that the tower across the street (maybe 400 yards) from me was a stack of Verizon, T-mobile, and Sprint equipment, but it's showing the T-mobile signal coming from a lot further away. My B66 RSRP is steady here at home around -113 to -122 dBm. My B41 was in the -60 dBm range. Overall this is very displeasing. In a situation like I had here last Friday when the morons doing road work cut the cable lines and my whole neighborhood lost WiFi, I was at least able to keep working tethering to my Sprint hotspot from my phone. That won't work at all with this shit B66 signal. I always thought that everyone (ATT, VZW, Tmob, USCC) MUST be better than Sprint around here.....careful what you wish for I guess.
  10. Oooo, baby. This 0.25 Mbps 5G is clearly the future! Can't wait for my email to download a single message.
  11. Yeah, mine just switched to B66 "5G" with upload speeds of "FAILED CONNECTION". 😂
  12. Did it happen? I don't seem to have any update available.
  13. Your immediate area is not in the T-mobile 5G coverage maps (at least Eagle, WI according to your avatar), but there's quite a bit around us when they flip this Sprint S20 on T-mobile 5G switch next week. If T-mobile is anything like Sprint on coverage maps, we likely have more 5G around us but it might not be official on the maps yet. Not like many of us will travel any time soon.
  14. Did ya'll just get this text? --------------------------------- Great news! Sprint has joined the T-Mobile family. Your Galaxy S20 5G will have access to the T-Mobile nationwide 5G network so ensure your phone's software is up to date. Learn more at http://s.sprint.com/mCY4xmC --------------------------------- Actually around my area in Madison shows quite a bit of T-mobile 5G coverage. Very interesting.
  15. Is anyone else having a problem with the Do Not Disturb Mode to be turned on as scheduled? I can not get the phone to respect the DND hours as scheduled. It never trips over, I have to do it manually every night and turn it off in the morning. Everything else seems to work fine on "as scheduled" like on/off AOD, and restart device.
  16. Yes, I love and use the Galaxy Buds daily. Samsung did a great job with them after a few software updates fixed some of the bluetooth static when you're in bright sun (proximity sensor would trigger), hoping the + improves upon it. Also hoping the case is exactly the same size or smaller (preferrably) as it lives in my pocket.
  17. My Samsung Credit just was approved and delivered via email with a coupon code. Picked up the Galaxy Buds+ in black for $0.00 with $0.00 expedited shipping. Pretty stoked. Now I can relegate my white Buds to running duties. I feared sweating them to an untimely death.
  18. If you guys need a car charger that does "Super Fast Charging" with the S20 series, this one works well. I have it. ENERGEAR 45W USB Car Charger - USB-C Ultra Fast Charger with PD 3.0 - Multiple Safety and Usability Certifications - USB-IF Certified - incl. 3 ft. USB Type-C to Type-C Cable (White/Gold) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QM1JGDY/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_OsIzEb098FKC4
  19. This S20+ is quite delightful in the first few days. A lot of nice little things make this a great upgrade. Pictures are quite good. The Live Focus seems a bit unnecessary in most cases as the natural bokeh provided by the lens does a pretty decent job. The pictures seem to have great color saturation, etc. Focus has been acceptable to me, seems a little slow on the draw in some situations. I find myself having the tap the screen quite often for it to focus on the right subject. The Single Take mode is pretty nice as I've tested it with the kiddos quite a bit. Not sure how much I'll use it in practice, but perhaps at kid parties and whatnot it'll be nice to have. I realize that there was obviously something wrong with my S10+'s wireless charging as the S20+ has no problem using all my pads. I frequently had a hard time finding the sweet spot on the S10+ for "fast wireless charging" but the S20+ doesn't have an issue. I bet I had a failing or failed coil on my S10+ in retrospect. Can't speak to use with the screen protector as I took mine off immediately, but the finger print sensor seems as fast as the S10+. Quite an adjustment to the placement of it, but muscle memory will adjust soon. I do appreciate the less curvature of the screen on the edges, makes edge swipes easier to do and app text doesn't get distorted on the edge as much (like SCP was bad). The 120Hz screen and scrolling is just so, so, so smooth. I enabled it on all 4 of the phones I set up this week, so the users don't really know any different. They're all pretty impressed by the speed. I do miss the crispiness of the higher resolution but will not go back to 60Hz, ever. I thought I would hate the button arrangement of everything being right side now, but it's far easier to deal with one handed. OH MY GOODNESS is Samsung being Samsung though with the Bixby BS on the power button. Obviously it can be disabled to be a regular power button, but for people like my 70 year old parents, this is a real confusion and something I didn't realize was even a thing until after I set up their phones. Who in the world would think the power button wouldn't turn the phone off??? stupid to have it to Bixby by default. Just go away Bixby, nobody likes you. I still have some data issues leaving WiFi and hopping on some Sprint towers here in town, but I didn't think that was particularly a phone specific issue. I have had much better signal when on mobile data (we do not have 5G) and could even use it in the Mall last night which is an absolute data pit. Friggin dog ripped my down jacket sleeve (on accident) so I had to get a replacement! As mentioned the vibration motor is quite nice and something you perhaps don't value until you have a nice one. Definitely nicer on the S20+ than the S10+. A big improvement I see is the recognition of the voice-to-text on device. It's far more accurate and can hear me better in the car, which is where I need it most. Must have improved the top mic more or something, but overall great. Battery life has been great, even in the first few days of phone use. I forget all the apps I need to exempt from the optimizing like bank apps and such to get purchase notifications, but slowly I'm getting it all set back up. I'm not sure why Samsung didn't take the partition model of updates like the Pickle phones. Instead for system updates, we still have go through the blue android screen of waiting and the "optimizing apps". I thought that was an option for all Android OEM partners to use? Maybe it's Pickle specific, idk.
  20. I know this isn't the ultra, but 20X on the S20+ is pretty impressive (I know it's still fuzzy, but considering the distance, it's pretty clear). 30X is hard to control handheld. I can not imagine the 100X hand held on the Ultra..... 1x: 20X:
  21. Oddity on my dad's S20+ that I setup for him. There's um, no "Roaming" menu at all? It's just not there in the Connections > Mobile Networks. I updated the phone, updated PRL, updated Profile. It's the correct SPHG986U phone. It says it's on Sprint, it activated fine on Sprint. It has VoLTE and so on. Does anyone know what to do or reset? I'm debating a factory reset of the device, but would rather not resort to that quite yet. What's the command to reprovision the network settings? Would that work?
  22. I chatted with Samsung Reps and they said the pre-order deal will be released on March 5th and was delayed due to a technical error on their end. So check out the Shop Samsung App on March 5th in your "inbox" there should be a "CHECK IF I'M ELIGIBLE" button near the top and then you'll have to upload your order details, etc. like last year. $200 for the S20 Ultra, $150 for the S20+, and $100 for the S20.
  23. Has anyone seen the pre-order offer in the shop Samsung app? For those that ordered through sprint. I have not.
  24. This is the very first time I've not had to call Sprint to activate! wowwie
