  1. Are you using the Good Lock app or whatever?
  2. I haven't been pleased with battery life either. But some days it's totally fine. Very hit or miss. The joys of Android. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  3. Agreed. Waterproofing and bigger battery would be nice but the Note5 is still an excellent phone. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  4. 151 mb update downloading now Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  5. Why not go for the S7? Sure it's more out of pocket today, but the addition of WATERPROOFING is good for any mom. Plus latest is always the best bet especially since the S7 is 8 months old and that S6 is 1 yr 8 mos old. Don't you love your mom??? Don't old tech her. But ANY phone will be better than that S4T. Samsung never solved that memory leak issue on the S4 devices. They should have never existed, IMO. Worst phone they've made. On my wife's S6, she complains about the battery life, but quick charging helps that quite a bit. Other than that, a very solid phone still.
  6. For me it's the waterproofing. Couldn't care much for the SD card anymore after not living with it.
  7. yes, I was just coming to say this. Google Play Services took off in the last couple days for some reason. Just have to weather the storm, it'll calm down again. Because....Android.
  8. Do you have the "prefer WiFi" checked in MMS settings in Textra? That makes the difference. RE: HD Voice......I'm not sure how that would be possible if you're suggesting it uses the network somehow? WiFi calling takes you off network completely. The phone calls on WiFi are already in HD as long as you've got a strong/fast WiFi connection. What bothers me about WiFi calling is drops between access points AND drops if you leave WiFi coverage. Wish it'd switch like Fi does (doesn't it? Not sure on this). Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  9. Yes. It works with Samsung's Messages app (on Samsung phones obviously) and it works with Textra (enable "prefer WiFi" in settings). Those are the only two apps that work with MMS on WiFi calling. Use Textra on your G5. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  10. iphones haven't had MMS over WiFi?? That's too bad. Been a life saver for me in my work building. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  11. There is a setting for this.....um, where is it.....Backup and Reset, then Autorestart. Did that get turned on? sent from my Acer R11 Chromebook
  12. Maybe just reset itself. You know that can be changed, right?
  13. My Samsung Pay loaded faster this morning and I did notice that on my 3G zone on my normal commute still existed, but it did snap back into LTE where it was supposed to. It hadn't been doing this for the past couple months and I'd stay on the 3Geez until I got into work, meaning no streaming on the way to work. Time will tell if this is an actual improvement. These are likely just post update speed-ups from system caches getting properly cleared through the update. EDIT: my fingerprint reader seems to be back to snappy again (slowed after the last update for me), which would explain some of the Samsung Pay speed increases.

  15. 269 mb system update download available now for me. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  16. Android Device Manager -> wipe the device remotely. The S5 update corrupted my daughter's movie SD card immediately after update. So if you are going to update, maybe pull the SD card first. Might not be everyone's experience. Sent from my cyan using Tapatalk
  17. This has revolutionized receiving texts from my mom. Holy cow that woman can type. Once got a 14 part SMS. Set her up with this feature to go MMS after 1 message length exceeded. Textra is the best. Make sure you enable "prefer WiFi" in MMS settings so it works through WiFi calling. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  18. Aren't those next day deliveries? Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  19. Samsung Pay really is the best, man. I'm already a Samsung guy but this seals it. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  20. Argh! My tower is dead! Fitchburg, WI. Anyone else have down towers? I'm roaming! Reported via Sprint Zone and twitter DM to Sprint Care. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  21. The really frustrating part is that there is NO way to communicate to Sprint developers or Samsung developers what is wrong either. You just have to hope they see it on their test devices. There used to be a direct line to them, but that was almost 6 years ago now. Sprint forums are 3rd party managed now and are garbage. EDIT: you can still call in and make a ticket and hope an engineer takes a look at it closer, but that's such a hassle.
  22. Passpoint is supposed to help in this regard, which phones have in the WiFi Advanced menu, but I have no idea if it works, I've never had it latch on to a store WiFi and auto accept the Active Portal terms. Such a PITA about WiFi. Home Depot, man, if it just worked properly at Home Depot I'd be a happy man. Lord knows Sprint will never work in my Home Depot.
  23. Same here, my family (5 lines) runs through ~35 GB a month. I use about 7-8 of that myself. Fi wouldn't be cheaper, BUT for places like Western Wisconsin, Fi would be a choice finally.
