  1. Anybody else go with the headphones and 256 GB microSD card deal with the free GearVR? I sure did. I was in the market for a new fast SD card and the ones I were looking at for 64 gig was like $50, so for 256 GB and a new set of pretty good headphones at $100? Sure, why not. I wonder if the upgraders will be prioritized over the free GearVRers for shipments??
  2. Well done, sir Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/mobile-accessories/phones/galaxy-s8-plus-protective-cover--silver-ef-qg955csegus/ Shipped but hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully it'll be as minimal as the one from Samsung on my Note5.
  4. If anyone has a car charger that rapidly charges the S8 and S8+, please post up which one you've got. I ordered these wireless pads as the manufacturer says they work with the S8 and S8+. I will test them tomorrow night. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MRXM473/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  5. Could I tell in the engineering screen? I can check later when I leave work, that's on my walk to my car.
  6. Not too shabby B41-2 Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  7. So working through the phone and all it's quirks. I've found that the face unlock (you can have them all active and registered meaning face, fingerprint, iris) is the best way around having to use that rear fingerprint sensor. I know it's not as secure, but day to day usage is going to be the quickest. It's taking a lot of work to get over not having that front finger print sensor like the Note5. Otherwise loving the phone.
  8. Fast chargers work through the micro to C adapters with any QC2.0 charger wall wart! (and with USB to C cords) But, my choetech fast charging pads don't work. I've reached out to the company to hopefully get a resolution but I'm mega disappointed. I've got 6 of those littered throughout my life. However, my Seneo fast wireless charger does work! Edit: My QC2.0 car Chargers do NOT fast charge either. Womp, Womp. Mixed bag here, frustrating indeed. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Activation was a bear for me, had to chat into Sprint Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. Damn one of mine was "missorted" delayed a day (the wife's though) Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  11. Mine are on truck for delivery! Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  12. My labels just went live. Scheduled delivery on 4/19 for both!
  13. Do you have the fine print on this? I just switched to the Unlimited Freedom plan from a very old plan and the agent I spoke with said explicitly it was 300 MB limit on roaming data still. I had her double check on her end and confirm it to me as I didn't see that posted online. We roam when we drive west of Madison, WI so having a decent limit will get us through a camping trip, etc.
  14. Here you go Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  15. Yes, just saw this change on the order page about 10 minutes ago.
  16. These pre-order pre-shipment tracking numbers are KILLING me. RELEASE IT UNTO ME.
  17. You guys able to see any tracking information yet with your tracking numbers? Both mine have UPS numbers but they're not active yet in the UPS system. Think they'll get here tomorrow??? Going to take off work for new phone day!! (and finish up some landscaping work) Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  18. One of mine shipped! (my phone, S8+) The S8 still doesn't have a tracking number. Perhaps it'll come soon. I ordered mine on Friday for those keeping track. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  19. Obviously, I'll report back once I have them. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  20. We'll see how it goes, but the 6P did not support the QC standard of rapid charging. I'm betting the Samsung phones will still work to charge fast. The adapters are mainly just to bridge through the 40 other micro USB devices we have. That'll be that way for a long time. I'm prepared to update my car plugs and wall warts if necessary. 21. Just pre-ordered my S8+ (silver) and the S8 (orchid grey) for the wifey! Expensive phones but eff it. My Note5 is still rock solid, but time to move on. Get in on that Galaxy for life too this way and put my wife and I on the same update cycle finally.....like sorority sisters. Picked up some USB-C items from Amazon today. Maybe the OP can keep track of some of these things?? Might be too much overhead. I'd like to hear what others are getting. Since all my fast wireless chargers will already work, I really just need a few items for the car and some micro to USB-C adapters. Remember only buy stuff that's been approved by Benson Leung, the Google Engineer that tests tons of USB-C items. You can search him on Amazon. USB-C crappy products can fry your phone and start fires. From what I understand, the phones are only Quick Charge 2.0 compliant officially. They may pick up QC 4.0 compliance at some point as the chip supports it, but for now QC2.0 is the safe bet. Picked up these: micro-female to male USB-C 3x of these (6 total): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AHKYIRS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 USB-3.0 to USB-C 1x of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C2O1TOC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  22. This is great. (Edit: not sarcastic there, I think it sounds good to me) Just switched to Unlimited Freedom plan for my family.
  23. Since this is the most active of threads here, I want to ask a question to those that are still using Sprint service. If you don't care to read, please move on, and I'm not moving to Tmobile or any other suggestions, my lines consume a lot of data (~14-16 gigs on a few of my lines per month....I don't know what the heck my sister does, but I'm pretty sure my nephew just streams movies all day) and this is important that I keep it unlimited and we stay on Sprint. Current plan: Been a Sprint customer since 2000 and have had the "Everything Data 1500 Shared Anytime Minutes Included" for a very long time. We have 5 lines, we lease 4 of those 5 and have loyalty credits on them. We have the insurance on all phones. Plus we have corp discount through my employer. Total here is like $386 but the loyalty credits put it in the ballpark of $330. Offered plan: Sprint is offering the Unlimited Everything for our lines with the specialist I spoke to. She says that we'll have unlimited data on all 5 lines. Cost would be $165 ($55+35+25+25), Device lease costs $80 (26,18,18,18), Insurance $55 ($11 each), fees would take this to about $345. In addition, the upgrade to this plan would be the 10 gigs of hotspot per line a month included. Video quality would be HD. Loyalty fees disappear with this plan. My specific question is should I change plans. Would you switch? Is there a catch I don't see? This is the first time I've considered this in 15+ years but it seems like the new plan with the hotspot is a better deal overall for the same cost. Thoughts?? I value your opinions greatly all knowers of the knowing, all seeing of the seeing.
  24. Funny, my wife checked last night. Timely. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
