I'm getting that kind of battery life WITH my Android Wear watch connect to it all day. Srsly, with a battery like this, I'm not sure I care so much about the charging.....I navigate around town now with Google Maps, streaming music with Android Auto keeping the screen on and don't even plug it in. Ridiculous!

There's some tomfoolery afoot with charging and the S8 and S8+. The tech blogs have caught on to it and have demanded answers from Samsung. Hopefully they get some movement on it soon.

Samsung minimal clear case arrived today. Very nice. Wraps all corners and is pretty thin. Exactly what I wanted. Wife got one from Skin-IT, the lite case, it's thinner than this but also a very nice case. She bought one with a nebula picture on it and it's high gloss finish. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Freeze up like the screen won't turn on? That could be due to Google Maps. Don't leave it running and turn off your screen. Close out app (recents > swipe away) before shutting your screen off. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I'd echo this, but add that I'm falling into this new usage pattern with unlocking the phone. It's still a bit quirky when the face and iris don't work, then I have to reach up to the finger printer scanner. I also find that the double tap power button to launch camera isn't as reliable as the double tap the home button from the Note5, but still works. Again, some of this is on me for speed of tapping perhaps? I also thought I'd have a hard time gripping the phone or have errant touches on the sides, etc. but none of that has happened. Samsung has tuned the software pretty well on this beast. Including that amazing battery life I've posted about here before. I do think the camera is not much better than the Note5, but time will tell as I take more and more photos and perhaps Samsung tweaks their software some. Very pleased with my purchase thus far. You get used to this huge screen so quickly, looking at my kids S5 phone looks like I'm looking at the first touch screen phone. lol.

I'm not doing any controlled scientific testing on signal and speeds but real world usage on the S8+ is fantastic. Been on B41-2 most of today and speeds have been 60-80+ down with 12-15 up all around downtown Madison. The battery life of this phone is ridiculous. Spent 4 hours touring around the Capitol building and grounds with the family and only burned 15% battery! Also, if you haven't found this out yet....burst mode apparently doesn't have an upper limit. Used to stop at 30, not any more.
