1. Wow I really Hope they are right and the promo doesn't expire!

Are you sure that there's just 2gb per line? Anyone can confirm? I've never gotten close to going over 26gb anyway so it's not a big deal...

If only 2gb/line you'd think they'd fix the graph by now ( one year later )

To answer this: The true amount of data remains 20 GB + the 2 GB per line promo. Your actual bill will state the correct amount and the Sprint website for some reason still shows 40 GB for some people (myself included)

Edit: just did Sprint chat and called in:

Megan: Thank you for your patience, I'll have the information shortly.

Megan: From what I see, there is no set end date unless a plan change is done.

2. Quick question... as I mentioned on another thread, I have a family share plan with 20 gb and have the promotion that added another 20 gb (Was supposed to be 2gb per line) that adds up to a total of 40 gb. My understanding is that the additional 20 gb was a promotion that is supposed to go away? Anyone know when those additional gbs are due to go away?

3. I went to Brazil a couple of weeks ago and data and texts worked great. I was on 3g data, but was able to do pretty much everything data wise with little issues.

Here were the two issues I did encounter and I imagine these are temporary issues since it's a new offering:

1) incoming calls had issues. most people would go directly to voicemail when calling me and they would have to attempt calling me several times before going through.

2) sometimes the system would disconnect and data would stop working. I would have to then go on airplane mode and wait some seconds and then go back on the network before it would work again.

All in all, i was very impressed and happy to be able to be connected while traveling abroad. taking pictures and sharing them from south america was a treat.

4. And i just spoke two two best buy mobile stores and they indicate that I would have to get three new phones leased or on easypay... Mind you, my phones were subsidized when I got them my two year committment is up so I would think so long as I didn't get a new phone I wouldn't have to pay the $40 access per line. Currently we pay $15.

So I'm not sure this is worth it. We currently pay $125 for all three lines including the access fees after the $20 discount. I may be willing to pay $15 more to get the unlimited, but i don't need a new phone... Thoughts?

5. Do they still have an unlimited family plan? I can't seem to find it anywhere on their website. We currently have three lines on the family data share at 20 gigs. Two line use about 6 or 7 gigs and the third line barely anything. Considering switching just to have it for when they take away unlimited...

We currently pay 125 after the 20% employer discount so if I understand it correctly, we'd pay $15 more/month to change. What do you all think?

Anyone? ;)

Oh. Does sprint have the ability to add this, or is only though bestbuy?

7. Ok. I do have one question. If I travel internationally can I just use wifi calling to call back home with out an international plan? Or will I have to still get an international plan?

(I do know there are some countries where wifi calling is against the law)

That's correct. You are able to call the U.S. From abroad without an international plan with sprint.
8. So I went to Brazil last week and used the new Open World plan. Worked great, except for some reason most inbound calls while in Brazil were going straight to voicemail. I called the international desk and they transfered me to a more advanced techincal support agent who opened up a ticket for the engineers. They called me back on Monday and they escalated the problem, that afternoon it seemed to have fixed itself, but I came back to the US.

As soon as I landed in the states I've been havin interminent problems. When I make outbound calls I get either a "Your call cannot be completed at this time" or a fast busy signal at least 40% of the oubound calls I've been making. I've tested it and the other phones on the account are not having the problem. A ticket has been opened, but I was wondering if any of you have any clue what may be happening?

Ps. this is happening regardless of the type of call I make... to att users, land lines and tmo users (at the vesry least).

9. I'm not sure how it works on Apple, but is there a feature to switch to the type of network to use? Maybe you had it on LTE/CDMA only. I know Android can be put into Automatic, LTE/CDMA, GSM/UMTS, or CDMA only. Maybe that was your issue.

It could also be that iusacell has already decommissioned CDMA so that's why you had absolutely no signal. Or maybe Sprint has removed them from the PRL list (I don't know how to check them).

AFAIK that's not an option on apple.

Oh and i forgot to mention one thing... when we landed in the US, neither phone would work. I had to call Sprint tech support from a payphone, explain to them that we kept getting a message when trying to call out... something along the lines of we can't match this phone with an active account... and they had me do the ## code to update the sprint prl and that seemed to fix the problem.

10. Soo... Unfortunately my experience was not quite as positive as the OP. My BF and I went to Cancun last week and added the value plan before going, talked to the international desk before leaving and all of that... Then we get there. My bf's iPhone 6 worked ok. The speeds on Movistar were only so so and my iPhone 6+ (purchased unlocked from Apple) just kept saying no service. I spent probably an hour or two on the phone (wifi calling) with Sprint trouble shooting this and nothing worked. I'm not sure if I had int'l cdma turned off or on... but I imagine I had it turned on and off at different times of the trouble shooting. Anyway, unfortunately, I was only able to use the phone while on wifi when I was in Mexico.

Anyone have any idea why this may not have worked for me?

11. Not for me... I cut the cord last year and now stream all my content so I can blow through several hundred gigs without a problem.. I hope Comcash doesn't enforce a cap here in ABQ... That would drive me to switch carriers.

Ouch. I've never come close to even 50gb on my home wifi. I don't even want it anymore. My wife and I are such casual users at home, that buying 1gb hotspot from sprint would be fine for those two, or three times a month we use a PC or laptop. I really only have wifi because I haven't figured out a way to be able to backup our iPhones without wifi. If I find a workaround that doesn't involve jail breaking, I'm cutting the Comcast cord.
