  1. So I picked up a nexus 5 today at a corporate sprint store. So far I'm really liking it. Is there anything I need to do or are the network settings automatically brought to the phone? This is the first android phone I've purchased so I'll be having to navigate through the changes from iphone to android.

  2. The N5 is superior in terms of RF performance.  Best there is at the moment.  A few of the members on the G2 thread have also used the Nexus  so you could probably get a more detailed answer from one of them.

And it's fully spark compatible despite it not getting the ota upgrade?

  3. Has anyone used the n5 before the g2? How do the rf performances compare? Is the n5 fully spark compatible? (Despite not getting the spark ota update that the g2 is getting?)

  4. How does it compare with the lg g2?

If I didn't experience the wireless nightmare that was the Citrus Bowl I'd be completely agreeing with you about the update lol.  The RF performance is amazing though.  I pulled a poor, but very usable, LTE signal inside some of the restaurants in the St. Augustine square the other week.  The Dave usually comments on how that area is extremely poor for Sprint with no LTE in sight because the closest tower is legacy.  This phone is phenomenal.

  5. What device are you using? The very bottom of La Bajada for about 1/2 mile and the very bottom of San Felipe Pueblo for about 1/2 mile was all I ever had as a dead zone. I've never lost a signal between Sandia and Bernalillo.

However, the Sprint 3G speeds between Santa Fe and Bernalillo are great. Often over 2Mbps. On Tmo, you will be 100kbps EDGE from 3 miles north of US 550 until the La Cienega exit.

Tmo is completely unusable for about 3 miles around San Felipe Pueblo. But it does not drop at La Bajada, as they have a little witty bitty EDGE tower on the canyon rim just to the NE of the freeway. If you look for it when north bound, you'll see it. Cute little thing.

I'm using an iphone 5S But i didn´t have that problem before, so I think that issue is due to whatever updates they are doing for NV on the Sandia Pueblo?
  6. Tmo is god awful between ABQ and Santa Fe too. Also, indoor coverage can be pretty crappy in ABQ. Where Tmo has zero bars, Sprint usually at least has one or two. But where Tmo is good, it's very good.

Well I've been driving to Santa Fe the last two days and let me tell you... service is pretty darn crappy on Sprint too. There are about three dead zones. One is around la bajada, the other one is by the san felipe casino and the third is in between sandia pueblo and bernalillo. I'm hoping this is just a problem of those towers getting upgraded.

  7. So I just talked to a CL guy that was at my house for repairing my internet, asked him if he knew anything about installing Fiber/backhaul and he only said that the delay might be due to the employee's going on stike and that some new contracts for the employee's should be done Friday. He didn't know much though.

I hope that's true. I'm at ord and wow, just wow. Love the lte here and how reliable it is! Looking forward to this at Abq.
