Wow Sprint versions get $100 less . I wonder if the would unlock it if I paid it off.

And just so you know, the unlocked version that apple sells is the Sprint variant.

No problem.
This may have some of it: http://www.apple.com/iphone-6s/specs/

The 6S and 6S Plus aren't on that page yet.
duh. sorry was sent there from the 6s page, didn't realize they hadn't updated it yet. Sounds like they will soon.

Here's apple's specifications:

I couldn't get any service in France but is fine in UK. France isn't part of the international free plans.
I think I'm going to switch from the international free plan to the Open World plan. 2G data is so painfully slow that it isn't worth it. I shouldn't have to wait around for minutes in hopes I can bring up a simple direction in Google maps.
I could do the buckets of data but this is better at 1GB/$30.

For sure. I think that when I go to Europe next, I'll just keep the Sprint Open World plan. $30 or less for using the phone while abroad isn't bad. Paired with wifi calling and the free texts, I'll be a happy camper.

I take it by total lack of interest that S4GRU iPhone members are not interested in an iPhone 6s raffle? It seems like you all will be buying the phone at any price no matter what and a raffle may not be worthwhile.
Using Nexus 6 on Tapatalk
I'd buy tickets - I could always use a second phone on my line...

Thanks! So if I'm reading the website correctly, even if I own outright my current 6+, I'd have to ship it back to them in order to get on this plan? That'd be no bueno....
$19.77/mo. (from Sprint.com)

Even if I buy through Sprint and the iPhone Forever? Hopefully. If so, that would be even better!

Nevermind, apparently there will be four variants?

So the iPhone for life is $15 for the 16 gb option. How much is it for the 64?
-
I have he plus now and was thinking of going to the smaller one. So this may seal the deal

Completely disagree. I'm sticking to my amazon fire TV and my rokusI think the Apple TV is a disruptor, much like the iPhone. The content bundling will come in time -- the current cable/satellite subscription model is broken, and it'll take a while for Apple - or Google/Microsoft/Yahoo/Netflix/Hulu - to untangle.
Apple TV is coming for your living room, and it'll take on casual gaming, music, movies, TV, Netflix and Chill, etc.
-
I think all 6s will be unlockedI do really like that the phones with Apple's plan are unlocked from the start though, versus with Sprint's you can't domestic unlock the iPhone until the lease is completely paid for.

I think it's expen$ive. The sprint plans are cheaper by far....http://www.apple.com/shop/iphone/iphone-upgrade-program
New unlocked phone every year and it includes AppleCare. Thoughts?

I hate to sound like a rookie, but what do these updates mean on the sprint network?

So I got a call from Sprint inquiring if the problem with incoming calls was fixed. I was still in Brazil and told the agent that yes, incoming calls on that trip were coming in fine. He told me there was a missing software patch with Telefonica that had caused the problem.
So i guess I helped identify a pretty major problem with calls in Brazil. Gotta say I was very impressed that Sprint followed up on this problem and kept inquiring if the problem had been fixed, weeks after I called to the report the problem.

For sure! The sprint tech kept saying the problem was that the iPhone didn't recognize it was out of the country. I really didn't buy it. But he was on top it it and at the end of the day he was right!Glad it was resolved, even though I would have laughed at them for hours had they suggested that
-
So after about an hour and a half on the phone with Sprint, the problem was resolved. The wonderful technical support agent went ahead and patched apple in and they instructed me to do a factory wipe and iCloud restore after which the phone started connecting to Vivo once again. Normally I may not have cared except this was the second country/time this had happened at and I wanted to be sure the problem was not going to happen again.
PS. I have had a couple of test calls that came in just fine, so that problem seems to have been fixed as well!
All in all quite impressed with the Sprint customer service levels

I'm assuming on android?

So I'm in Brazil now (again) and I'm getting "no service" since I landed. On the phone with sprint international customer service. So far they have had me do all kinds of things on my phone to no avail :-/.
Unfortunately this happened when I went to Mexico in May.

I've used my M8 on GSM carriers overseas with no problem. I would take a guess that most high-end smartphones would have that same ability.
I've used my unlocked (from apple) 6+ in GSM networks in other countries without a problem.

I think we should all be fine. All sprint phones still say delivers 9/25 on the apple site. I ordered by phone after trying for 20 minutes to order online. Glad I'll get it on launch (hopefully). They did quote me the shipping. But I'll write to spring and see if they will give me a credit.
