Apparently it was a plan for the iPhone 6, but some upgraders are being forced to do a plan change. Probably won't make some people happy.

I didn't run into that exact issue, but did have to call and use the automated phone system to activate my parents two new iPhones last night.
  2. Problem is, nobody expected demand to be this high. Not even Apple. After placing production orders of the 7 to Foxconn a couple of months back, Apple went back and asked them to scale back production because they were expecting demand to be way less than what they were ordering. I think everyone has been a bit surprised with how high of demand people have for this phone this year.

And part of it may be Samsung's issues

  3. I just upgraded last year for a 6s any suggestions on getting upgraded to a 7 I have been with sprint over 15 years? Looking at the apple program as there is no contract!

Are you on a lease or do you own the 6s outright? If you own it, Sprint will give you a 7 32 GB for free.
  4. Thru discounts, my lease in 6s, is half of what they are offering on the 7 and I pay $1 for iPhone 4ever. Hopefully they will help the Loyal Customers out

The way I see it, is on Sprint, I would go from paying $19/month to paying $39 and change for the iPhone plus 128 GB one. On the apple upgrade program is 41 and change.

Let me know if you know of a way to get it cheaper than that through Sprint...

  5. Now that Sprint is charging more for the iPhone lease, do you guys feel that the Sprint lease (old iPhone forever plan) is still the best deal? I'm having a tough time deciding. I've been feeling like the two extra dollars/month for an iPhone plus 128 GB phone through apple is worth it as it's unlocked and it comes with apple care. But I've been recently re-thinking that as it may be easier to upgrade though Sprint and I have never used Apple care within the first year of a phone...

    Thoughts?

  6. So I just spoke with Sprint and they basically said that if I stick to the Apple order, I'd have to pay about $220 that is remaining on my current lease. Alternatively, I can cancel the apple order and get it through sprint, get the phone and the lease that goes along with it to one of the lines that have old phones, or I can add a fourth line that would take over the lease. What do you guys think I should do?

So it seems like we're going to move my phone and its lease to a line on the account that has an iPhone 5c - they'll be on the lease program and I'll be on the apple program going forward.

  8. Sooo... I was on the iPhone forever (or for life? Can't remember which) and when I tried to upgrade it game me the option to do the 17 month lease for like $39/month. I noticed that for like 41 I could get it on apple with the yearly upgrade and apple care. Soooo... I did it.

But now I'm wondering what's going to happen with the remaining lease payments with sprint. Will I have to pay some sort of difference when I return my current phone to sprint?

  9. That's pretty interesting. Wish it would have saved me money (I need at least 64GB storage on my phone), but I guess I'll take the extra free storage instead. Maybe it'll boost resale a little when I sell the phone in 2 years. What would've been even better is if they were offering a free upgrade from 32GB to 128GB, but that would have conflicted with the free 32GB iPhone 7 offers.

Regardless, any deal on an iPhone is a good deal ;)

the weird thing is that I can't find the terms. Will this be only for the 7 or also for the 7 plus?
  10. So I'm trying to understand the offer correctly. I have the iPhone for life (or forever) that allows me to get a new iPhone when the next one comes out. I have the 6s. I want to upgrade to the 7 plus 128 gb iPhone. So I'll only have to pay the difference from the 7 32 gb to the 7 plus 128 gb for the next 24 months once I trade in my current iPhone and upgrade?
