Has wifi calling improved since these issues were reported?
-
Doesn't include the phone fees. That includes access fees and leasing/buying payments?? That's insane!!
-
I currently have three lines sharing 40 gb. We never come close to that (and assume I don't get throttled) and pay $110 including taxes after an employee discount. Don't see the benefit of switching to this new plan. Anyone see something I don't?
-
Ok, so I think I finally figured out the color for this category. So am I reading the map correctly and see there is no coverage of this sort in NM?
-
So I'm not sure what's happening, but my phone is often showing one bar of LTE while at my house for the past two or three weeks, it always used to show full bars or almost full bars. Anyone know if there's any work being done to the towers near me? I'm near Louisiana and San Antonio. Thx!

I just came back from a week in the Dominican Republic. Open world worked flawlessly and the speeds were more than adequate.

To what part of the bill is the employer discount applied to on these unlimited plans?
-
Apparently I waited too long to jump on the offer of $120/month for up to 4 lines and no access fees for as long as on the plan. I called today and they said promo had ended. The second time j called the lady offered me $40/month for 6 months credit. A manager is calling within the next 24-48 hours to see what they can offer.
Whah do you recommend I do?
-
Yes and the footnotes in the email they sent me said the access fees would we waived as long as we stayed on the plan.
Is the base charge ($120/month for 40 gb) discountable?
-
So I just got an email offering a plan without access charges. Claims to save over $240/year over current plan for the same 40gb we currently share. Anyone else get the email? I just wonder if the base price can be discounted. If it can, this can save us a ton of money!

The railroads? That is simply not true. Find an example in the history of the world in which a company achieves and Maintains a monopoly for nearly sixty years without the force of government regulation? There is no evidence Ma bell would have achieved a monopoly on its own. None.

How's everyone WIFI calling working out? Mine seems to generally be working better now days... one weird thing is that sometimes my ipad will start ringing several seconds before my iphone does.

I stayed at the Four Seasons. We were roaming in the convention area of the hotel. Good thing they had free wifi.Everytime I go to Orlando I have a good experience. Unlike Tampa. What part of Orlando did you go to?

I was just or Orlando and didn't think the service was that good...Is there alot of band 26 in this market? Over here in Flordia we have optimized band 25/26 all over the state.

But had they had essentially the same plan in place for a year it wouldn't have been news. #justsayinThis may be my one and only post on the so called "hype." Yes, this move is major and worthy of the hype -- for new subscribers. Had VZW, AT&T, and/or T-Mobile offered a deal to cut your Sprint bill in half for equivalent plans, many of you would be out of here in a heartbeat and on that deal like flies on shit.

I'm sorry but I feel there was hype. That's a huge swing for a stock that is pretty devalued already. I'd say it's time to buy!!!
In the long run I think sprint will be fine, but I think it as a hiccup.

A free tablet and year of service ????

Really don't get what the big deal is. They already had the cut your rate in half. So what's the big deal?

It always says that. You won't be charged anything.

I think they need to get some issues ironed out soon. I have only used the program in Brazil so far, but not too impressed with having to contact sprint twice regarding incoming calls not working realiable. They really need to get this fixed...It took a week for my phone to finally register on Movistar network in Mexico. After a few days I started a chat session with international help. I was told the first to verify my roaming settings (which I did to Sprint Int'l specifications when I landed). I told them I already did, nothing worked. Then she asked if I had wifi access and to update the profile. I tried to update the profile but authentication failed. She gave me the roaming setting instructions which I told her I've already done that multiple times to no avail. She asked if I had a good wifi signal which I barked back wifi has nothing at all to do with the phone not authenticating with the cellular network. Believe it or not, her reply was to recheck my roaming settings AGAIN. I said eff this and ended the session.
A couple more days later, I set my phone back to Global mode from UTMS/GSM and it registered with the network - which is exactly how Sprint told me *not* to do it.
The first time I was in Mexico I was charged for all of my calls under Open World. I did receive a credit but 2 out of 2 times traveling with Open World I have encountered problems. I'm not terribly impressed and will be looking for roaming charges on the next bill. I took some heat in the pre-trip meeting because I said I had a Sprint plan with free international coverage and didn't need a company phone. The other guys with their Verizon phones with no problem using it made me a look a little dumber (and I don't need any more help with that
)

The promotion on those plans was for line access fees to be waived for a year, which is about up.
Oh yes. I remember that promo a year ago!
-
Remind me again why they are going up?Let's just hope that when though who signed up were told by the reps that the line fees were waved for x amount of months.

WiFi Calling Support For iOS Coming Soon?
in Apple/iPhone/iOS
Posted
So I thought I had read somewhere that with iOS 10 you'll be able to go from wifi calling to the sprint tower network seamlessly. Is this the case? I would actually use wifi calling if it worked like that instead of just dropping the call if wifi strength drops...
