  1. My buddy "sold" his Note 3 on EBay and got a fake message made to look like it came from eBay that payment was received and send the phone to Nigeria. Keep an eye out if the buyer has no feedback yet.

Creepy... I actually posted my ebay posting on my facebook and here last night. A friend needed a phone so I worked out a deal for her off ebay. Money is already on my paypal account and the phone is already on its way to her. :tu:

  2. My battery life is pretty variable on my 6+. If I do anything graphics intensive it drains, as expected, and since I haven't even had it a week i pretty much can't put it down, haha (right now it's on the charger).

However, with my 5 on a day like today when I have class, it would be dead without an external battery around 3pm (I record lectures during one class and I watch Netflix in the gym), but today when I got home around 4 or so it had 68% battery. I call that a success. (Of course, when I got home I promptly killed it playing games, hahahahaha. Still got 8 hours with 18% left when I plugged it in).

    What storage do you have?
  3. I went to check out the speeds last night just for kicks, it was actually pretty terrible. 0.01Mbps down with a 600 ping on 3G :-) The backhaul probably hasn't changed with the new equipment install. But coverage most likely increased a little bit with the NV antennas. Can't vouch for it yet, but next time I'm down riverside drive I'll pop down one of those neighborhoods and see.

The subscriber density and amount of MVNO customers down there are probably overloading the site immensely.

wow, surprised how quickly 1x800 has been deployed around BGM. Unfortunately, the two towers closest to my parents still don't have 1x800. I'm really hoping that the 1x800 will fix the sliver of BGM they live in and give them good service. They are strongly considering joining my family plan.

  4. All 8 generations? That's awesome! My 6 plus will be my 5th iPhone model. (I'm not counting warranty replacements, for obvious reasons.)

Yup. all 8 of them. and about 6 or 7 of them I purchased on launch day - I've had my current cell phone number since the launch of the original iPhone :)

  5. I haven't experienced the bug at all (my wife hasn't too).  I guess it technically could be a software issue, but it should then present itself on pretty much everyone's iPhone since we are all running the same OS.

The only real bug I have noticed 100% is an iOS bug.  Every now and then when I go into Settings and click on General, the phone will hang.  I usually just hit the home button and go back in and it is fine.  I am pretty sure I remember reading an article about it though, and I am sure it will get fixed in 8.0.1.

That was the great debate last year. Not everyone experienced the spring board crashes. Many of us did. The other huge bug was the fact that the level was not level on the iphones. This was fixed via a software release maybe a month after the phone came out...

  6. YES!!! I was at the apple store the other day getting applecare set up. I was swiping up on the screen to open my camera and I noticed it wouldn't work. The rep (whom I know), said UH OH! And went whoa....that's not good. Took it over to another 3 reps and they looked at it. They turned the phone off and back on and it fixed it but it just did it yesterday again. I am HOPING it has something to do with iOS and not the screen.

Edit: I will definitely be bringing it back when it dies down. If it continues, I'll just have my phone replaced lol.

Jamison, I would wait at least two or three weeks before you do that. The reason I say that is remember that iOS 8 is new. It is prone to having some issues at first. Last year iOS 7 had some issues (the phone would crash and reboot when multitasking - I never kill apps) for about three months that really bothered me. I went to three phones and the issue persisted. I should have just waited until iOS got straightened out. I would say any heavy user is experiencing those lags with iOS 8.

The other issue I've had is the one someone else mentioned that when I take the phone out of the pocket sometimes it does not want to switch the screen orientation. Once again, this is obviously an iOS issue and might even be fixed by the first software upgrade that based on past experiences will come out within a week or two. (I've owned every single iPhone since the first one)

  7. Went to the Sprint store in town here, they said they have all models in all colors. Surprisingly the store was empty. I just have to go put myself as an authorized user on my Dad's account and I'll get the phone later this afternoon. Anyone know if they still do the free activation credit union thing?

The CU discount and no activation fee discount lives on :)

  8. Confirmation of Sprint stores not getting any pluses in. Stopped by my store today before work because they opened an hour early. Sadly, they told me they have not received any of the pluses in at all, not for pre orders nor for regular sell. The lady did tell me they are getting shipments daily and to call back after 3. They are telling everyone that it could be between a week and 3 weeks from the date you pre ordered before the phones come in if you ordered in store.

That's what I was told too. I opted for the 6. It seems large enough. Makes me think the plus would just be a tad too big.

  9. With as many permits as I have found for B41 equipment, it is reasonably possible in the next 180 days. All permits I have found are on sites that have LTE going.

I don't know where you specifically live but I wish they would get with it and start lighting up Band 26. I don't know what the hold up us.  That potentially will help you.

The two sites I'm waiting on are San Pedro and paseo and Wyoming and San Antonio.
  10. Do not know how much stock I can take with this, I was on the phone with customer care out of Alb, about my phone, I asked about the LTE and they told me it is Scheduled to be online within three months. What got me is he added sprint spark within six months.

Well I hope they hurry up and do the towers by me! Got that text message from them like a month ago and still no LTE at my house <_<
