  1. I would also try the signal detector app: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3153-cheesy-esmrlte-base-station-tracker/page-3&do=findComment&comment=452198
  2. I had connected to US Cellular LTE at Black River Falls WI this summer, but did not authenticate. (I-94 next to WI-54)
  3. added map outtake to US Cellular post. Crosshatched areas are Sprint. Same Color without crosshatches is US Cellular LTE.where you might get LTE Roaming.
  4. Be on the lookout for LTE roaming on US Cellular, which I know is in your area. http://s4gru.com/ind...nt-lte-roaming/
  5. U.S. Cellular coverage map now shows LTE roaming, appears to be Sprint's network [Reported first on https://www.reddit.com/r/sprint by petarmarinov37 with this image: http://imgur.com/KwCe3Co] It does match the Sprint coverage map in Ohio, specially the unique coverage in Crooksville OH and many other places.

  7. We are hoping they deploy b26 3x3 in the 1x800 channel 526 area. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  8. That is the Base ID in hexadecimal (hex), a common means of identifying a site by signal. The signal sector is part of that hex number.
  9. It is an expansion on your comments for the benefit of those who don't know about the treasurer trove of info once they make a donation. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  10. New members also welcome to "join" in! Upgrade you membership to Premier and you can see which sites are active with any of the LTE bands and add additional info for other premier members. The "National" notes with SignalCheck Pro will even tell you the sites as your phone connects to them!
  11. No Circuit switched fallback [CSFB] is likely the issue, which is an LTE setup issue. Contact nTelos so they have the option to fix it faster. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  12. Our old wimax phones can be cantankerous. Remember to have Wi-Fi off and reboot and try again before saying it is dead. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  13. 14. I think that has been that way for a while. However going to the Clear coverage map now takes you to the online Sprint Store, which is smart.
  15. WiMAX still alive in Columbus as expected (9.91Mbps down, 1.25 up), however Freedompop VOIP app not connecting. I will try again. edit Freedompop now appears to be OK.
  16. I would think the more extreme the ruling, the greater the chance that it will be overturned. Preferably at 11:58PM
  17. Not a lawyer, but this strikes me as overreach for a Massachusetts state court. Now we have seen 6 out of the minimum of 14 pages of this document. I would like to see the rest.
  18. I decided to take a quick look at how much frequency WiMAX was using. First let me note that my phone treated it like CDMA in terms of site reporting -- you must have a fresh connection from disconnected to get accurate frequencies from each sector. As previously reported, each sector at a site has different frequencies, each using 10Mhz. WiMAX does behave like WiFi in that frequencies conflicts between sites should be avoided. When I looked at a small number of WiMAX sites in one area, the number of frequencies rapidly grew before I saw any duplicates (generally facing away from each other). Thus given this preliminary information noted above, combined with speeds often seen, it is possible Sprint could gain up to a ten-fold increase in throughput over the same frequencies in an area by switching from WiMAX to B41 LTE CA technologies.
  19. I think the quietness is primarily due to the hyper-competition in the wireless industry. Once they figure out where Sprint spends its limited resources, the Duo will try to counter.
  20. Basically they are still waiting on Softbank for phone leasing and NGN financing arrangements. The phone leasing portion sounded basically done, but they need a few more weeks. More secretive on NGN. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk

  23. "I’ve provided on slide nine a status update for our acquisition of nTelos. Since the deal was announced on August 10th, we have made good progress in moving towards closing. Our financing has been secured with the retail syndication being oversubscribed without going into the flex terms. We received early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino review and all state regulatory approvals have been received. Our FCC transfer application is expected to go on public notice soon. We've extended offers to nTelos employees primarily in the retail stores and field operations. Our activities are proceeding well and we’ve had great cooperation with nTelos management team. Closing is still expected early 2016." - Christopher French - President and CEO, Shenandoah Telecommunications Co. (NASDAQ:SHEN) Q3 2015 Results Earnings Conference Call October 30, 2015 9:00 AM ET
  24. Approval process appears normal so far: http://ir.ntelos.com/press-releases/detail/1333/ntelos-holdings-corp-reports-third-quarter-2015-results
  25. Maximum possible speed remains the same, but users are divided over the two carriers, thus your speed can double. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
