    My dad pre-ordered from Google.

Apparently it was delivered on Monday, but he doesn't want to switch over until I'm around so I guess the review is delayed! 😂

But have an extra line with my Note 20 Ultra. I am surprised by the hot trash offer for it. Around that 350 I think.

Trade-ins values have really sucked for what seems like the last year. That $350 is probably a bump over what they're offering now. Seems the values have crashed again for some reason.

I pre-ordered the new Pixel 8 at Best Buy and plan to pick it up today. It is $699 for 128GB unlocked, same as most other retailers.

They are also including a set of Pixel Buds Pro for free, which retail for $199 and is the same offer as ordering direct from Google. Not a bad option, but I prefer the $100 BB gift card they offered last year -- you could use it on the phone purchase itself, which I thought was generous.

As they did last year, Best Buy is offering a trade-in bonus that bumps up my Pixel 7 to $450.

My dad pre-ordered from Google. He's trading in his S21, Google was offering $350 for while Best Buy and T-Mobile only appeared to offer $250. Interested to see how it turns out! I'm on the S23 Ultra, so don't expect to change that out for anything any time soon.

Nope just the regular Ericsson n41 antennas that they've been deploying here for a while. I don't think T-Mobile has any C-band antennas deployed in NYC yet.

Edited: The newer older Ericsson n41 antennas do appear to have a different design than what I normally see. I guess I've only ever seen the Nokia deployment and newer Ericsson ones. Not used to seeing those two distinct sections/ridges on the back of the antenna.

Has anyone installed this update yet?  Any noticeable bugs so far?

was 2.4 gigs for me on my ultra.  no problems noticed so far.

2.2 GB for me, but I'm on an unlocked version. No issues so far. Didn't really see the changes that were supposed to come for the camera though.

So, T-Mobile actually has two n25 carriers live here. In addition to the 20x20 one mentioned earlier, they also have a 5x5 one in the G block. So you can get 35x35 FDD NR here by aggregating n71+n25+n25, which I did earlier this week.

I wondered what the second n25 carrier was that I was seeing on Cellmapper! I've yet to see it in person. Usually when I'm in town I'm on 100 n41 + 40 n41 + 20 n25. Haven't ever seen the second n25 channel. Pulled 1.2 Gbps on that configuration of SA NR in downtown Shawnee last time I was in town. Upload was around 90 Mbps.

Did you have the same issues I did with E911 addresses being blank and Caller ID's all set to be me as the Primary Line?

Caller ID's were all correct. I don't think I ever had E911 addresses set, but it shows my address when I click on it.

Don't forget to update your default payment method for the AutoPay discount. I really hope they revert that policy back to include credit cards.

It carried over my autopay card and is still showing an autopay discount, so that still seems all good. Did they make an official announcement or was it all internal docs that got leaked?

Mine too. Anything odd with the account details with yours or anyone else I should be looking for?

Mine is still with Sprint. Seems like they are doing migrations in batches. Guess there is something about my account which is holding it back from being migrated yet.

They must be leaving us for dead last. Mine is still Sprint too! In fact, just paid my bill yesterday. Maybe it'll roll over tomorrow on the new billing cycle.

I am still not seeing SA n25 anymore on my Google Pixel 7 Pro.  I wonder why we lost it specifically on this device and if we will ever get it back? I am sad I cannot map n25 anymore. The only time I see n25 is NSA.

    Robert

I saw a Reddit post talking about how it had been removed, but no one seemed to know why. Very strange given how widespread it has become, and how T-Mobile seems to favor it as the PCC on devices that can connect to it, at least around here.

So what happens when the spectrum auction authorization expire?

    18 hours ago, jonathanm1978 said:

That was my question too but I didn't want to fill up the comments with things that possibly have been discussed...Hopefully Tmo can just reapply for the authorizations without much hassle...

And then, I hope it's just a software upgrade for the current hardware on the tower and doesn't require a fresh climb to make use of it. Not sure what they are putting on towers nowadays..

T-Mobile is basically just in limbo waiting for the FCC to have its authorization back. Tmo also applied for a special use license to use the spectrum they won without having it officially authorized.

I'll check the engineering screen and get back to you... SCP just shows n71.

@dkyeager beat me to it, but as I said earlier if your phone says n71 but has the UC icon, that means you are CA'd with n41. SCP will not show you that. You have to check the engineering screen. What you posted makes sense, the CA will get you great download with the n71+n41+n41, but there is no upload CA yet so you are relying on only the n71 channel for upload.
