Happened to come across a new T-Mobile colocation in Dafter, Michigan (upper peninsula). Seems to not have n41 installed according to this American Tower site brochure photo, and looking at the filename it seems to have been installed sometime around September 2021. It also appears T-mobile is using either AT&T or Peninsula Fiber Networks for backhaul (AT&T is on this site as well, so it would make sense AT&T is using their own fiber, and T-Mobile is using Peninsula Fiber Networks). Might go through some other areas in the upper peninsula on the American Tower site locator to see if there are any more T-mobile new colocations. These rural builds are very exciting!

GCI is 063865 so it follows the pattern. May have been installed for a while but was definitely activated recently given that GCI. (Change the enb settings to Hex on Cellmapper, it makes it a little easier to follow).

I am on Advantage Premium (what became of SERO) they gave me $1000 for my S20+.  that brings the ultra down to $8 and change per month.

I see the "up to $1,000 off" deal when I log into my account, but it says on "eligible Sprint Max plans." When I click it, all I get is the full price phone and no option to trade in my device. Really annoying. Oh well. Paid in full at BB so won't have a monthly payment to deal with. Just no early shipping for me as BB would only allow me to do store pickup for some reason.

I believe it's pretty much the same size as the S21 Ultra, which after a week stopped feeling so huge. I think you'll like the pone once you get it!

I preordered the ultra with the great tmobile deal for it.  I am hoping it is as amazing as my S20+ is.

I preordered the S23 Ultra. T-Mobile didn't give me squat for deals. Apparently since I'm not on a Max plan, there were no discounts and they wouldn't even let me trade in my phone. Went through Best Buy with a $400 trade in for my S21 Ultra. Thought the trade in would be better, but whatever. Had $200 in BB credits I used too. Can't wait to pick it up next Friday. My S21 Ultra has been fantastic, have absolutely loved the camera on it, but starting to feel the battery life. Especially under 25%, it just crashes super fast.

Here are the new sites in the Toledo area from the last few years. All of these are Sprint conversions, and they still have a few more Sprint sites to convert

That's a decent number of new sites. Nebraska is likely the oddest market in the country, as T-Mobile didn't exist here until a few years ago. Until last summer, their footprint didn't really extend much out of Omaha, Sprint had a much larger footprint. But I'd like to think that their aggressive expansion here is a signal that they intend to follow through on their rural expansion plans. Given the number of American Tower sites that we know they are targeting across NE, KS, MO, IA, AR and IL, it does seem that they have an expansion plan ready to go. Unfortunately we haven't done any digging for the OH area so I don't have any details there for you.

New Vertical Bridge site built for Tmobile near Red River Gorge area.  Maybe T-Mobile is starting to build out new sites and colos in rural areas now...

T-Mobile has been building out new rural sites for the last 6-8 months. It may not be as noticeable elsewhere, but we have had 40+ new sites come online in Nebraska. There have been new builds in Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri as well.

If you change the site data to display hex values on Cellmapper, look for sites that begin with 05D, or 062 - 063. Those are new sites in the last 6 months.

Recently it suddenly started flashing yellow at me when it sees 311490, which draws my eye (it definitely didn't used to).

311490 has always shown as yellow to me. When the network started showing that here I turned off the secondary PLMN reporting and it just showed the normal T-Mobile PLMN.

  8. Have $200 in Best Buy credits so I think I'm just going to bite the bullet now. Wish the trade is was slightly better, but they're offering $20 more than Samsung is. I haven't kept a phone for 2 years... ever I don't think. The S21 Ultra is the first one I've done that with. Upgrades are so incremental anymore didn't really make sense to upgrade last year and it really held up. Starting to feel the battery life now though so it's probably time.

Sometimes lately I have noticed my n41 SA gets stuck (no download) despite good signal. If I switch to wi-fi and the back a few minutes later it is fine again. Any one else noticing this?

I have noticed this on my S21 Ultra. Not sure if it is a network bug or phone issue, but when on n41 SA I get stuck with no data, texts won't even send. Sometimes toggling airplane mode doesn't even fix it if it goes right back to n41. As soon as I connect to WiFi again texts start sending and everything goes back to normal.

The one I have close to home is a Sprint keep site that was stripped and has new TM equipment installed.

It is broadcasting the standard TM bands and also band 26. Located in Upton, Pa.  Low population around the site.

That is pretty odd. We did have one keep site here that when the Sprint equipment was stripped off, they kept one Sprint RRU per sector (was common when they kept Sprint B25 on air on the keep sites) but they maybe accidentally? put the B26 RRU up instead of the B25 one. But I only ever saw one site with that configuration.

Are you hitting band 26 on these sites?  For some reason, T-Mobile is keeping band 26 alive on just a few sites. Maybe to keep the license active????

Different market, but I have seen B26 on a couple of keep sites between Omaha and Kansas City. The towers have T-Mobile equipment installed, but no signal yet for nearly a year. They left the Sprint equipment installed and running for some reason.

here are 2 towers there right now (one for AT&T, one for Viaero) and I could be wrong but I do not believe this is an American Tower location.  If not, it seems encouraging that they're open to locating on other sites.

They are going after American Tower sites pretty heavily, but they are using others as well so they're not limiting their options as best I can tell.

The coverage map updated to better show the Scottsbluff coverage yesterday, looks like they did full build with n71 and n41!

If both SIMs are connected to the same sector, the second SIM displays that it’s connected to the second carrier like so:

Doesn't the [2] indicate the 2nd SIM? In the past ^2 on the Provider/Band line was used to indicate second carrier. Unless that's not what you're talking about.
