When Sprint eNBs 6695 was converted, B25 from Sprint was still being broadcasted as well. At the time the keep PLMN wasn't a thing in NYC yet, and I don't know if they have a Sprint RRU up there, but I would guess broadcasting 310-120 B25 on converted sites is a way to maintain coverage for legacy Sprint users.

On all the conversions here in Omaha, they have kept the B25 RRU and are still broadcasting B25 on Sprint PLMNs through the T-Mobile equipment even now.

I forgot to add, T-Mobile was already on that Sprint Keep Tower but on a lower rack. Sure enough, all of the new T-Mobile equipment is on the top rack (where Sprint used to be). This is the first conversion I have seen in the area where the Keep PLMN was used to denote T-Mobile was taking over Sprint's rack. I'm sure that has been very common in other areas.

We have seen the keep PLMN on co-located sites here in Omaha, NE where we suspect they are going to take over the Sprint level. Permits have been issued that suggest as much but we haven't actually seen it happen yet.

From North Platte, I  noticed I got T-mobile coverage around Odessa and had coverage all around Kearney.

Follow up on this, did you have SignalCheck / Cellmapper running at this time? The Sprint sites along I-80 are providing coverage for T-Mobile customers, but most have not actually been converted to actual T-Mobile signals, so the coverage is just provided through partner/sharing PLMNs that allows your phone to connect. We know that T-Mobile has permits to convert the sites in Kearney, but as far as I am aware, this has not happened yet.

Sadly this forum hasn't seen any action in awhile, I was driving to Kearney on Thursday. From North Platte, I  noticed I got T-mobile coverage around Odessa and had coverage all around Kearney. I looked at the sprint coverage map and that is exactly where you gain coverage if you had sprint coverage. I am glad to see they are switching around some of the sites to tmobile.

It's true *this* thread hasn't been very active, but we have had a ton of activity deeper in the forum. We've been tracking upgrades, new deployments, and conversions all across the Nebraska and Iowa markets.

Isn't that the usual cost for additional Google storage??

The 2TB storage option is the only one available to general google customers.  The other 2 (500GB and 2TB with unlimited google photos) is only available to t-mobile customer.

The 2TB storage is the same price as for general google customers.

Yeah I was wondering... same price I'm already paying. I guess the unlimited photos is a nice benefit, but unless something changes it's not a huge benefit.

I've been getting intermittent Signal Check Pro is not responding errors on both of my S22 Ultras. Hopefully the crash reporting shows something useful. It's not constant, just once a twice a day for now.

I get the same on my S21 Ultra. It got a little better after re-installing, but it slowly came back and now I get it a couple times a day.

I just received my S22 Ultra TMobile branded phone from Samsung. It came with an R15 sim card. Should I use it or the R15 from my S20 Ultra?

If it came with a SIM, the system is probably already prepared for you to use that one.

    What did speeds look like?

Looking at those photos, n41 was only CA'd with n71, so while there are 120Mhz of n41 on air it would appear, the extra 20Mhz is not being used together with the rest of the n41 yet.

Just doesnt seem like it is much of an upgrade.  the camera definitely isnt, am i wrong?

Looking at the actual specs for the cameras, it's a mixed bag. The "regular" camera got an upgrade, while the telephoto went back to 10MP. (listed below)

There are some upgrades. More 5G bands plus 5G CA. Better processor so hopefully better battery life, even though the battery capacity is the same. I believe the fingerprint reader got an upgrade if you use that. So did face unlock. And obviously a newer version of Android.

It should be noted that in the S21 lineup, they switched things up a little, the S21 was more like the S20FE, the S21+ was more like the S20, and the Ultra was a little more similar to the S20+, though still slightly more souped-up. So your better comparison may actually be from S20+ to S22 Ultra, as painful as the price points may be.

Pointless when you upgrade every year.

IF you upgrade every year. Last few years I haven't seen big enough improvements between iterations to feel the need to upgrade every year. Looking at the S22, even the ultra, not seeing enough yet to justify upgrading my S21 Ultra. So the additional software support is welcomed.

Knowing that they have Carrier aggregation active with B-41 now, T-Mobile may have changed thresholds on what the level has to be for your phone to attempt to use Band 41. With aggregation, the range and usability of Band 41 increases.

I haven't actually seen my phone use B41 though, it just idles on it. As soon as I start an active data session, it switches back to n41 + B2/66. It's almost like the network is offloading idle phones onto B41.

I've noticed my phone connecting to T-Mobile 4G B41 a lot more often the past few days. I wonder if this has anything to do with them really starting to push forward with B41/n41.

I've noticed my phone is idling on B41 a lot now as well. Mostly when I'm on WiFi. If I go off of WiFi, it'll default back to B2/66+n41.

When Band 41 is weak and does not want to work well, it normally will be because the uplink is bad.  But now, they are saying that they are going to aggregate band 41 and some other band, possibly band 71.  When you now have band 41 active on your device, have you checked to see if you have aggregation of band 41 with some other band? If so, the other band will be doing the lifting on the uplink.

No CA, just idling on a single B41 channel. If I actually start to use data, it'll bump over to n41+B2/66.

however, now none of my fast wireless charging pads (all non-samsung and all worked before this update) are fast wireless charging. Just "wireless charging". I cleared cache and the fast wireless charging is checked in battery settings. I checked and unchecked it, and I've rebooted again. Hmmm....that's a real bummer.

Is it just a messaging issue or is it really not doing "fast" wireless charging?

Over the past couple of days I’ve noticed that I have 5G in Live Oak, Fl. Went to the engineering screen on my iPhone, and saw 15MHZ of B2. For the deployment type it said 5G (NSA). Am I seeing B2 used for 5G or is 600MHZ also tied to what I’m seeing? I tried to upload the screenshots, but the files were too large.

B2 is the LTE anchor band, not 5G. It's the anchor for n71 or n41.

I just updated my Note 20 to the UI 4 beta and it is noticeably more sluggish due to same bug.

What actually helps is turning off adaptive display because the sluggishness seems to be when the display switches hz.

I haven't noticed any of this, S21 Ultra. Downloaded and installed the update yesterday.

I have not been able to nail down these issues.. nor can I replicate them. Not seeing crash reports that seem to correlate either. I'm hearing you and trying to figure it out, presumably something with the S21 stock firmware is wreaking havoc with something I'm doing. There are a couple of Samsung devices experiencing issues more frequently than I'm willing to accept, I just can't figure them out.. yet..

Anything I can send that might help? I'm trying to send reports when I can but I'm not sure if it's actually capturing whatever is causing the crash since most of the time I don't get a crash notice.

Strange, because I have an S21 running the OneUI 4 beta with SCP beta and never had an issue. Could it be a market issue? I’m in Phoenix.

I don't think there's anything market related that could cause that. I'm not running any Samsung beta software, just the normal updates.

I'm getting frequent crashes and Android complaining about battery drain the last few days. I'm not really sure why. I try to send feedback but sometimes that crashes too. It seems to happen when my phone decides it no longer wants to use VoLTE and switches to 1x. So it might just be my device, but really not sure.

I cannot run SCP for any length of time on my S21 anymore. I can start it, put it in the background, and within a minute or two it's just gone. No crash message or anything. I have not taken the step to uninstall and reinstall yet. But I may do that soon to see if that clears anything up.
