  4. I have 4 bars of 3G service on my iPhone and 2 bars on LTE. At home and around my neighbourhood. Anywhere else I go I get 4-5 bars of LTE. Be it Alki-beach, past Roxbury St., Highline, Burien, Renton, Bellevue... I think I just live in a deadzone. If I call Sprint and complain will they actually send a truck out here and survey White Center? I have 15+ people willing and ready to switch but I CAN NOT recommend Sprint without 800Mhz SMR in the Seattle area. Which really sucks. What do you think will arrive first, 800Mhz liberation, or 600Mhz deployment? 600Mhz is a MUST for border states.
  5. Does anyone have the timetable for Band 41 deployment for Seattle, WA? I know 1900Mhz is up and running, but I don't see how 2.5Ghz is gonna help me if I'm only getting 1-2 bars of service (on 1900mhz) at Barton St. & 15th Ave.

  9. How much spectrum will AT&T now have that they're about to own DirecTV? What Mhz frequency do DirecTV satellites use?
  10. So is this one of the major reasons why Sprint supports eCFSB vs. SVLTE? It's a short-term drawback that will reap larger benefits in the long term?

  12. Because: •It was backward compatible with CMDA 1x/EV-Do, and supported SVDO from the start. •It was the most spectrally efficient of the big three. (LTE/WiMAX/UMB) FROM PDF #01 BELOW: •Utilizes statistical multiplexing •Hybrid frequency reuse •Supports OFDM •Adds multi carrier support •Rev A uses 1.25 MHz carriers, most likely 3 per user would be used for Rev B, or 3.75 MHz •This is unique from HSPA because the carriers do not need to be adjacent Allowing operators to combine spectrum from multiple blocks PDF #01 link: http://www.ittc.ku.edu/~frost/Access_Technologies_Course/EECS_766_Spring_2008_Presentations/LTE_UMB_WiMax%20presentation_final_Elster.ppt ••It's one flaw I think, was that it wasn't TDD compatible. If I've said something incorrect, please correct me. Maybe it's remorse for CDMA dying a slow death, but it is what I believe to be true.
  13. Will 5G implement the best qualities (or improve upon) Qualcomm CDMA? How many versions of 5G will there be? UMB was the best 4G tech, which was effectively stillborn from the start. (Because of VZW.) Will this version of 5G be considerate of America's immense coverage area needs?
  14. How much spectrum was it? How many Mhz were shaved off our total count?

  21. I saw that just now, so I jumped to S4GRU to say a little something. Looks like I'm just in time! I think that the horde of Magenta agents blind to T-Mobile's future shortcomings, and the Sprint Haters of the world will make it very difficult for us Sprint fighters/loyalists to out-speak their banshee yells when the FCC files public comments. I'm in college, so I think I can make a well-rounded 20,000 word report/essay in support of the merger. Even though we'll probably be outnumbered 10-01 in the number of comments that will be submitted by the public, I hope that sound reason and logic will give the FCC enough reason to allow this to happen.
