  1. That twin cities article also said there were 30 already live. If you found 0 then that just means they are hard to spot. They could look like a book attached to a light pole with 2 wires coming out of the book.
  2. Yes there is an update for 3xCA and android 7 is starting to go out on some carriers worldwide. SCP does not show CA only guesses what carrier your on based on gci. *#0011# to see if your on CA.
  3. Shentel is an ALU-nokia market 3rd carrier hasn't been confirmed there yet. If you travel west to Pitt you maybe able to see on your phone.
  4. Because it is a good network B41³ and B25 10x10 almost everywhere.
  5. It would not be 1.4 it would max out at 1.3779 no way 1.5Mbps. FLAC is like a zip file it is compressed so it is less than the max level. There could be a sound to max the FLAC compression but I am not sure any one would listen. Lossless just means that when it is decoded it is the same as when it was encoded. There are different FLACs like there are different zips. Instead of researching Tidal look more at FLAC.
  6. What is stopping them from streaming Tidal Hi-Fi (1411Kbps) with a "Upgrade to premium streaming" limit of 1.5 Mbps?
  7. XDA has a couple ROMs out there if you are comfortable with odin. But the end of beta notice mentioned a January release date. Not sure which features you can't wait for I don't think 3xCA should require 7.0.
  8. All the B41 towers that have 3 Carrier have 3CA. I have only seen 2CA once on a tower that I think only has 2 carriers. Samsung markets are good to go with 3CA. 3CA in DC is only a software update to the towers. They can do that in one night there is still time. If anyone have an s7 they need to be hitting update over and over again.
  9. I went the unifi security gateway route when I recently upgraded from a 5 year old N router that was giving me problems. It was setup in ~10 minutes even though I still go into look at the DPI every once and a while. DPI is just traffic stats(Deep Packet Inspection) to see who/what is using the internet. Youtube channel Crosstalk Solutions has some nice unboxing to finished setup videos.
  10. Not rooted I am afraid to trip KNOX. I have sent the phone in a couple times to get fixed. With it being Central PA market I was just motivating other people in Samsung markets to check their phones. I will check shentel and Pittsburgh markets hopefully tonight or tommorrow.
  11. ??? I had the beta and have been doing updates the last 2 days. Both ##update# and through the menus the last couple days. I didn't think they did anything until I seen this.
  12. I am sitting in Wilkes-Barre and my phone is acting slow. Look at what it shows I am connected to.
  13. Yes when the PLMN is clearwire but other markets are seeing that the Clearwire GCI are moving to Sprints 310120 with a change to in the GCI. If there are breakdown of equipment or capacity issues these will be upgraded at some point. If it is the equipment breaking they could replace them with mini macros. If they are upgraded for either reason the GCI will most likely be changed to fit into their GCI system. All I am saying is be careful with the word all or assuming all. Equipment can break or act up at anytime and be replaced. There should also be some 012B and 012C sites. There is usually some kind of pattern even if it is Nokia-ALU.
  14. In other markets that are doing Clearwire conversions the new GCI are Market Band 25 then 900+ and end with 3x. So if you are seeing 012XXX32 it may not be a small cell it may just be a clearwire conversion. It just happens that Clearwire had a small cell network in NYC so many of the conversions will be small cells. I think what may give away non small cells may be the sector number if you see 32/33/3A/3B it may not be a small cell.
  15. Off the top of my head there is 3rd in New Haven Conn, Tampa, SW Florida, and Orlando. I would have to look further into my logs to see what other Nokia market have 3rd carrier. It will not show up in SCP as 3rd carrier GCI ends with 41/42/43.
  16. And how many where blocked in courts? 1 Maybe. You can't stop a tower because of health reasons and you have to grant new technologies access both are federal laws. The only way to block a site is the way it looks with small cells now you can't even block them for that reason. The only thing locals can do is limit height and some placement rules. The federal government could pass a law like Ohio just did and limit locals on placement rules then all they have is height limit rules.
  17. One thing he could do is shorten the "Shot Clock" to force an answer faster. Claim technology has increased so that they can review things faster and cut the time in half. That is more probable than any merger of the big 4.
  18. 3D mimo requires tall buildings because of the design of that mimo. But 64t64r can be used without tall buildings they just need an area with a lot of stuff to bounce off of to add to the complexity of the signal diversity. Massive mimo can be omni directional or set up in sectors like we have now just with a lot more antennas in the panel(s). Below may be confusing so ignore if you don't want to be even more confused. All they do is add a lot more "spatial streams" for the data. Right now the 8t8r are capable of 24 "spatial streams" (8x8 3xCA or split for 2 4x4 6xCA). Each users phone uses between 2 to 6 "spatial streams" . (3xCA uses 6 "spatial streams" at 2x2) These massive mimo go from 24 "spatial streams" with the 8t8r to at least 64 "spatial streams" with the 64t64r with only one carrier. If the 64t64r had 3 carriers live that would be 192 "spatial streams". Most rural areas don't need that many "spatial streams"(return on investment) unless a concert is going on like the Jamboree in the Hills then it would be nice to see some cows with massive mimo. Even in an area with low complexity there should be a small improvement. "spatial streams" overlapping each other can be bad and hard for the phone to decode and hard to group many phones together in groups to send the signal out at the same time.
  19. It looks like jwmaloney's map that was fast. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/5ipysj/2nd_ama_here_we_come/dba667q/

  21. I wonder if someone seen it go up in front of their place of work/play/sleep then complained. Mobillite had many names not sure if they used a different name in the process. What has happened in New Orleans is that after years and multiple dozen of small sites went up people latter see the construction going on near them and complain. Then everyone acts like they had no idea was going on. Just videos to show their was meetings with the city video has been posted before many times. I am just using it as a date reference And then one year plus later saying that there was no talks with the city and that all the sites should come down and look at it again. http://www.wwltv.com/news/local/orleans/cell-phone-towers-installed-illegally-in-french-quarter_20160630074929944/260336840
  22. It looks like third carrier is starting to go live in orlando only saw a few. Also I only passed by one sprint B41 Jacksonville site I think it had third carrier live but I did not see the B41³ GCI only the EARFCN CA'd with B41². B41³ map from my logs.
  23. He asked about LTE discovery. SCP displays "Sprint B41" Link goes to an image that has national db info and did not want to post it down this low. It is the post about naples, fl from last night. SCP still displays gci. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5816-tdd-lte-2600-band-41-8t8r-sites-accepted-discussion-thread/?p=493879
