  1. I wonder if they are getting it off a caller ID list. You can change the name. https://support.sprint.com/support/article/Change_your_caller_ID_name/case-wh164052-20100907-100931 Maybe change it to some simpsons prank call name reference to see if that is where it comes from.
  2. 1) B25/B26/B41 2) I don't do many speedtest 3)I don't know what antennas nTelos used but there or how much spectrem off hand. But there should be more B41 carriers. 4)Premier thread should have more data I haven't taken the time to collect all the ntelos data for morgantown yet though.
  3. What are your data points? We know how many sites had lte in Nov 2015. And we know 70% of lte sites have B41. So we know at least >55% have B41. And that is assuming no new lte sites. But they have added lte over the last year. Where did your small cell number come from? We know of 10+ markets that have small cells.
  4. But it will help with capacity. Meaning higher average speeds alot of people complain about capacity limited speeds.
  5. How do you know they are verizon? Verizon phone with signal very strong or sticker on the pole? Any addresses?
  6. Verizon deal is interesting but there are to many Verizon holes where I relax to switch. But it is tempting they need to fix some coverage issues before I would switch.
  7. Interesting Tmobile said sprint was <3Mbps. https://mobile.twitter.com/NevilleRay/status/829054928001773568?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet
  8. With limited mapping cellmapper is showing 30+ Sprint B41 inside I-610 a few have 3rd carrier. It is hard to tell how many total there are in the market without a spreadsheet and map to count. Not doubting your experience when I was there 1x800 would not even go a half a mile. Only pointing out that macro sites have 3rd carrier live in Houston and that is a possible source.
  9. 3rd carriers are on some macro sites in Houston. If you need proof look through cellmapper sites for the sectors.
  10. I was watching https://twitter.com/AdrienneNort during the game. But those pics can be cherry picked for the best speed tests averages of speed tests are better. Tmobile was the only one I saw that posted average speeds for the game. If you look at Tmobile's pictures they show 100+ but their average was only 54. The big problem for Tmobile when they shout these numbers out the other 3 are going to point to their throughput and go "High speed tests are great but you are limiting the speed when your users are using their data for real world things." If Sprint does that though Tmoblie users will shoot back that sprint does the same thing with their new Unlimited data. 30TB for the carriers is a lot of data to be used during the game that is like 10,000 hours of HD netflix.
  11. Looks like numbers are starting to come in. It looks like they all did very well with probably only spots of outages or slow data. Speeds TMobile 54Mbps Sprint 52Mbps Verizon 30Mbps AT&T 27Mbps Throughput Verizon 11TB AT&T 9.8TB Sprint ~5TB TMobile "nearly twice as much data!" ~4.2TB (last year was 2.1TB) Speedtest were from Tmobile and the Tmobile throughput https://newsroom.t-mobile.com/news-and-blogs/super-bowl-network-performance.htm Verizon throughput http://www.verizon.com/about/news/super-bowl-li-numbers-top-10-list AT&T numbers from news articles http://www.khou.com/tech/super-bowl-li-sets-mobile-data-usage-record-on-att-network/400832209 https://www.wirelessweek.com/blog/2017/02/numbers-mobile-usage-super-bowl-51 Sprint http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprints-super-fast-lte-plus-network-scores.htm?linkId=34185166
  12. It's not that they didn't install any B41 in South Carolina congested or not. It is like the whole market was put on the back burner like West PA and East Iowa.
  13. I will drop it and post my new lte data for the market in the premier thread when I get a chance. But if the next time I am in St Paul and the "Sprints garbage because there is no lte" continues and I will bring it back up that sensorly and rootmetrics both show 99% lte on that road.
  14. If someones device was stuck and it showed on sensorly. It would be one signal strength not changing as they go by sites on their way north. And it looks like lte to me not "only gets 3g".
  15. If sprint was only 3g how did we get the GCI for the towers? How does sensorly and rootmetrics both have lte collected data? The only way is that LTE is live there. There is no other explanation to explain how that data was collected other than sprint has LTE live there.
  16. Tower spacing would have to be 20 miles in between sites to run into issues with distances and they are not that far spread out. Wasting money to build sites that are not needed is nothing more than a waste. mnjeepmale if you have a note 5 I would wait to upgrade. There are other things you can do like change the settings in your phone first. Then if you connect to a weak signal you could get a signal booster like Wilson sleek but they only boost signals that are there. So you would have to see at least a weak signal before you drop money on it. If you live in an area with lte you can call sprint a couple times to get a MSL to change how long in between lte scans.
  17. There are other options like rooting your phone and run lte discovery or change your lte scan timer to scan sooner. There did not look like a lot of holes on sensorly but a couple weak spots where a weak rf phone would lose connection but lte looks near continuous. Meaning a quick airplane mode would give another 10+ minutes of streaming on lte.
  18. 2nd post in minnesota premier thread. Green pin means user confirmed. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5847-premier-sponsor-map-for-the-minnesota-market/?p=311040 Sprint maps can be over shown but you were saying about going past sites and seeing strong 3g. Sensorly is user measured data showing someones phone connected to lte going up that road. Phones can wait up to 30 minutes to scan for lte to save battery. Streaming used to keep phones on 3g until idle but people said that has changed. If I see 3g I will toggle airplane mode to make the phone scan faster instead of waiting.
  19. Sensorly lte map and user collected data in the premier section shows LTE should be covered for I-35.(shrugs) To test the network I streamed netflix from St Paul to PA line using 94 east without much problems. One time it stopped playing scp said it was on 1x used airplane mode connected to lte then continued to stream.
  20. I had to send mine in to fix it. The line was not bad at first then it got to the point it was hard to fix by pressing on the 'g' by the camera. I didn't even bother with sprint I went straight to samsung with the issue. It was covered so no out of pocket but I was without a phone for awhile.
  21. I had that pink line. It is a loose ribbon cable that is why when you press by the camera it goes away.
  22. I get that line when I first connect to B41. When I go to use data it will try and connect to CA. Not sure what that line is suppose to mean.
  23. Yes same values tmobile started at 10Mbps then counted by 2 to twist the graph. It only takes 8Mbps to stream hd video so sprint should have been ok most of the time.
  24. I am sitting in Culver's in Hudson, WI on 3xCA. So it is not a market thing. Hudson is just across the state line for mnjeepmale. It could be a slow rollout but I doubt that. I would use the dailer code ##update# to make sure everything gets updated.
  25. I would fix the heights and refile. Strange that the airport was not known. I did not see a list of heights I wander if anywere legal. I laughed at the end of the 2nd article. Because they can't stop wireless if they allow wired even underground.
