  1. The map looks like it does not include clearwire. There are at least 9 confirmed 8t8r sites plus more clearwire.
  2. Then grab some images of the cell identity. If it coming from the same site they should be +/- 10. If the numbers are far apart it could be clear and sprint.
  3. It looks like the stale provider when no GCI bug is still there. But it is less noticable because of the 1x fix.
  4. I think it has to do with wifi too. I left a message in the s7e thread but it might of got buried a little. SturgeonGeneral responded and sees it on wifi also not sure if it is wifi calling. When I get home tommorrow I will test more. Edit:Forgot to say no airwave I am only 1/2 mile from a GMO. Still have hope a 1x800 signal will go over the hillside. Wifi works for now and phone calls come in they just drop if you touch the phone. There was also another bug that I wanted to test later. It locks the log db if the user imports the wrong size log by mistake. The only way I was to get it to work again was to uninstall the app. There may need to added a check to see if the new log has the correct columns. Or at least force a delete of the db.
  5. Root metrics report is out again. http://www.rootmetrics.com/en-US/rootscore/map/metro/pittsburgh-pa/2016/1H ATT was the big winner with twice the download speed as everyone else. Sprint seems to be hurt by their upload speeds. I picked up a s7 edge and B41 2CA seems to be everywhere that has B41. Can't wait to see 3CA to leave the lab to see how it affects the scores next test.
  6. T Mobile is built into the dialer. Hangouts is in the google folder already installed on your phone. I don't see the need for it other than ease of use. Hangouts is not that many more steps if any. I believe if the dl channels are both populated the site supports it but you may need to start a data session to see it connect to the SCC and start to populate the rsrp/rsrq/sinr.
  7. Which app are you trying hangouts? Try it again the permissions did not come up the first time for me. If you already set your permissions you have to change them by go to settings->Applications->Application manager->"Video chatting app". Then allow audio and video.
  8. If you look at the download channel they are flipping. PCC is your phones Primary channel not the sites. It is not always PCC to first carrier then SCC to second carrier. Sometimes it is PCC to second carrier and SCC to first carrier. It is a little confusing if you think of it straight up. You have to remember the site chooses which PCC you connect to for load balancing. Then your phone is like screw this I want the other channel too. Just remember you have to think about load balancing the upload side also. The upload channels are not aggregated yet.
  9. I like the *#0011# dialer code. The information seems to be dynamic and changes based on what technology is connected. SCC means Secondary Component Carriers so yes it is CA. B41² just means the GCI shows a second carrier is live.
  10. Any one experiencing unknown(18) in SCP while on wifi. I don't know if it is just my device or on all s7 edge devices. I think it only on wifi because when I turn off wifi things change correctly to what technology it is supposed to be.
  11. Arysyn there is already different threads for the s6 and s6 edge+. There is no reason to suggest anything to the staff because they will do what they want and how they want. I thought I could take it but your post they have been just long rants the last few threads. So I am ignoring you(your the only one) so I don't have to scroll through your post. So feel free to post wherever and however I won't see it.
  12. But sprint does I have LTE there. I have been able to match a couple GCIs to sites. That is why I asked if it was the first time you saw LTE on your Boost phone in nTelos. They maybe testing Boost plmn there and you can call them to tell them it's not working.
  13. When I had issues outside of my home area it was caused by forgetting to do a profile and prl update. But it maybe related to your phone trying to connect to LTE only outside your home area. There is lte on most the trip as seen by sensorly which seems to be correct by my trip through there. But there is LTE from Huntington to Ashland also so I am scratching my head.
  14. Is this the first time you connected to LTE with your Boost phone? Is it only on this one tower or is your phone number missing all the time now? I am sure you tried to update your system, profile, and prl. So I am not sure what you need to do. You may have to call sprint again and tell them about it. The no phone number is strange and may have to do with some thing between your phone and the network. Like your phone needs reset for the network which can be done by your local store.
  15. That is interesting that Samsung is using 094(Inland Northwest). I thought it would be given it's own pattern for a new market something greater than 0C6.
  16. Ask Nielsen then if you don't believe they use straight up average data speeds. Not sure if you will believe anything they say. http://www.nielsen.com/us/en/contact-us.html Please explain the drop in November for T-Mobile data speeds. If it is not Binge On which launched the exact same time as the drop. Please don't say something like correlation does not mean causation. Tmobile was the only one hurt because nielsen changed the weight of things just to hurt Tmobile? http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160125005532/en/Sprint%E2%80%99s-LTE-Network-Delivers-Faster-Download-Speeds
  17. Is there a way you can tell if Gear VR is in use? That way it won't update the notification every couple seconds. I can put it in "Do not disturb" mode but that blocks all notifications.
  18. Not sure I follow you on the weighting of real world usage. Their app runs in the background and tracks what your phone uses as you use your phone during the day. They track what apps you use and for how long and how much data is being sent for each app. It is not a speedtest that they breakdown somehow. Nielsen does not use any cellular data other than to send back but your usage log. There formula should be amount of data sent over the length of data session. Data session is the length of time that a data stream is active. If you don't like cisco to show how the vast amount of people use their phones you can google another data colector there are many that show video as #1 usage. Some can even break it down to youtube and netflix being the biggest usage of mobile data. The last time I looked it was one way on PC and then they flipped on mobile. http://en-us.nielsen.com/sitelets/cls/digital/Mobile-NetView30-FAQ.pdf Look at Number 19 No real reason for an NSA when people give all there data for free.
  19. I am a little disappointed in you AJ. Not the disagree part because it would be boring if everone agreed. Just the generalizing your usage to a wider audience. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/solutions/collateral/service-provider/visual-networking-index-vni/mobile-white-paper-c11-520862.html 55% of all data is video on mobile devices. Which means video should play a big role in real world tests. Audio which is only 5% and it is limited based on the stream 192Kbps for Pandora and upto 1 Mbps for other HQ streams. 60% is being throttled way lower than it should be. That is something that TMobile has to deal they will get mad and show a speed test though.
  20. Until TMobile stops throttling their video the nielson reports will say sprint is better. I am not sure how this is surprising.
  21. I already sent one a couple minutes after the post. I will send you another. Not sure if it is connected to anything other than wifi the signal is real weak ie no bars. When I turn off/on Airplane it shows 1xRTT for a second.
  22. The life of the battery depends on how long you plan on keeping your device. If it is 2+ years you may want to slow charge it. I am a heavy user and my note 4 I got an extra battery and I used to have to change it every 4 hours and when I stayed at home it would last upto 2 days. I plan on upgrading every year so for me I don't care about the battery I should not have to replace it. Smart switch was pretty easy to use it transferred most of my apps I still had to set them up and I still have to tinker with them.
  23. P=VI The wireless fast charger(Must say fast charger on it) is 9V and 1.67 Amp so that is close to 15 watts. The S7 edge battery is 13.86 Watts so almost an hour to charge from zero. Many plugs are 5V 2A meaning 10 Watts and some are only 1A meaning still slower recharge to almost 3 hours with a 5V 1A plug. The real question is do you want to use fast charge all the time? Some say it kills the battery total life faster.
  24. Well got my tracking email so hopefully only a couple more days.
