  1. Excellent news on coverage! Enjoy that new availability!! Hopefully once the merger is approved, (hoping) we will all get an uptick of new coverage.
  2. Yes, multiple "My Sprint" network issues reported and 2 or 3 calls from Sprint Exec Customer Relations, only my rep didn't know anything Technical about the network including the call to the call center, kept getting dropped (she'd call back).... . Sometimes you need someone with Technical experience and you can't always get them.
  3. Can Marci fix my sudden lack of B41 and now very weak B25 LTE near my house.
  4. New Sprint T Mobile survey article out.... Attitudes Toward a Sprint T-Mobile Merger The part of the respondents that are Sprint or T-Mobile currently, 16% said they will leave once the companies combine. Hummm interesting ...odd (unorthodox) ways of thinking... You've been happy with a mostly sub-par (in many areas) network. The user experience only stands to improve post merger. For T-Mobile users, not much changes. For Sprint users, we gain more towers and 4 new bands to connect to. So that's the last straw for some?
  5. I think you had the same Rep from Sprint Executive Customer Service that I had reviewing my service issue ticket. It's so frustrating when they don't even know to most basic of detail about anything, similar to the offshore regular reps you get when you call the regular customer service number. Granted, not all are incapable, but sadly, most are. They are in a position to try to help us with our problems either with the network or with our equipment. Shamefully they become another problem to have to deal with, which results in giving up in frustration and hoping something either fails catastrophically with the network or gets upgraded and fixes the issue.
  6. I'm not saying that at all...I guess I worded it funny. I was asking a question, trying to clear up my confusion. Calling plus without knowing the detail appears to be VoLTE . Now I know it's not, but as stated, I have made calls like that, and they were good quality.
  7. Some of you have made references about Calling Plus not being VoLTE no matter what.... So if I go into my S9+ and turn on Calling Plus, then turn "Wi-Fi calling" off and only leave "LTE calling" turned on... you're saying that's not really VoLTE? I have been able to make calls like this without issue and the quality was pretty good.
  8. I had a MB. Didn't think that much of it... didn't really fix the 4G issues..... It did cause my device to not receive incoming calls... The FCC Merger Clock officially started today. 179 and counting. T-mobile will know what to do and how to do it.
  9. Good Article online about the Sprint / T-Mobile merger: It's complementary to Sprint and how far they've come in the last couple years.... Why the Sprint and T-Mobile merger could be good for you The best part is: “Sprint holds a massive 150 MHz of nationwide 2.5 GHz spectrum, which uniquely positions them to provide an outstanding consumer experience,” he wrote. “To date, most of that spectrum has been underutilized due to lack of funding, changes in leadership and unorthodox deployment strategies.” Unorthodox ... ?
  10. Sprint Technical Care has issued a trouble ticket for 4G Data in the 48309, 48307 area (Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland University area and Auburn Hills) area. No report given as to what the problem is or the cause. I'll post back if I find out anymore. Thank goodness someone is listening at Sprint! Let's hope they can actually fix what is wrong.
  11. Exactly... so giving up 60 MHz worth of that like the clown at Boost wants, would be a horrible situation for Sprint and T-Mobile, unless they were guaranteed free right to utilizing it even if it's sold. I just think that the whole proposal was rather rude from a Chief of a subsidiary of Sprint.
  12. It's a cheap ploy to garner attention. And ... at the cost of Sprint and T Mobile's merger. Hopefully they will remember that and if the merger goes through, they roll Boost into Metro PCS and tell him "See ya!"
  13. I think the others are going to go faster than you think...Probably not much further than 2020 (2 years). T-Mobile is already re farming their older 3G space... Neville Ray had said in the past that he would like to follow Verizon's shut down date not too much further than what Verizon's is. (see link below) AT&T just shut their 2G down in January and is now eyeing 3G's deadline. They have not made a date public. T-Mobile plan to sundown 3G
  14. I think they should tell him to go suck an egg! 60 MHz is a lot of spectrum... isn't it nearly half of what they have in the 2500 MHz band? (150 MHz total)... Why does he think he's entitled to it? What about the other MVNO's?
  15. Verizon confirms their CDMA network will be shut down end of December 2019 (next year). As of today, will not activate any CDMA only devices. Verizon to shut it's CDMA off December 2019.
  16. Mr. Z... have you noticed any improvement? I'm not seeing much B41 lately and I don't know why... something around here is going on...
  17. Do you think Sprint will send out an update to all of our phones to unlock Band 71? (for those of us that can receive it)
  18. I know... me too! What has me confused, and I'm sure they do it on purpose, is that it's $70 for first line. The little box off to the right says save up to $20/month per line if you BYOD or buy a phone outright?? Ummm... I don't think so.... The plan is the plan... that $20 potential savings is off the cost of a phone... This was a grey area with Unlimited Freedom. I get it for $60 / month ($65 if you don't auto-bill)... and then I got $300 off the price of the phone total which saved me about $20/month off the lease of the phone. Very shady and buyer beware... They like to flash those prices up to get your attention, but after you sign on the dotted line, it's higher!
  19. Be careful of the fine print. For one line, like myself, it's not $42...it's $70 which is actually $10 more than Unlimited Freedom that expires today. All these plans look great if your a family with multiple phones, but if you have a single line, you pay out the nose!
  20. What was interesting to me is that based on subscribers, (just a fun way of looking at it) Sprint can allocated over 3.3mHz of spectrum to each of it's subscribers, more than 3 times the amount of anyone else.... As a side note, same front page, but the FCC is pulling Dish Network in to come up with a comprehensive plan to used their spectrum they have, that has gone unused. If they don't have a plan together, I think the FCC can retake it and auction it off. (correct me if I'm wrong).
  21. Interesting read from Fierce Wireless New : Spectrum Allocation- Who owns what bands/spectrum Spectrum Ownership in US.   Who-owns-what and how much
  22. I hope you're correct Nexgen... that would be great... but I'm not believing until I see it.
