  1. What?! I can't believe they launched LTE in cityX before launching in MY city! My city is WAY more important than cityX because I live there.
  2. Is it just me or does the print optimizer seem to turn on wifi and leave it on?
  3. I tried not charging at work last week.. it lasted 8 hours while streaming music from 3g the entire time
  4. Hopefully someone is taking care of adding the new sponsors!
  5. I could see that. I'm getting a little ichy, and seeing the percent complete here in chicago makes me wonder...
  6. Why is sprint launching these markets with such a low completion percent (Dallas is 9%!)?
  7. Try just holding the home button. The stock task list works pretty well.
  8. I'd say go to the sprint store and give them all a try. I'm more partial to Samsung devices (I have the S3), but I don't really think you can go wrong with any of those devices.
  9. Very similar to my experience. Luckily my drive home is all NV so pandora makes the drive nice.
  10. Okay, that makes sense. I wasn't sure if it was just in Kansas City because that's on the july 15th list. It also happens to be what the screen shot is. Even though it's in Misery Missouri.
  11. Kansas or Kansas City? The article title is a little misleading.
  12. Were you inside of a lead bunker or something?
  13. Things like this are why us IT majors in my Marketing classes didn't have a good time. Marketing is all about fluff and appearance. IT is all about cold hard numbers and performance.
  14. Is there a way I can tell if I'm using 800mhz voice? One of the towers near my house has 800mhz live.
  15. I work in lincolnshire and it's not unusual for me to get 1-2 mbit at my desk.
  16. Well then he should probably consider it. Without becoming a sponsor, this blog post is the closest you're going to get: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-272-chicago-network-visionlte-deployment-schedule-update/
  17. I'd help you out, but you're a Sox fan. Seriously though, That info can be found in the Sponsor maps.
  18. Do you think the general public knows what those numbers mean? I can't tell you how many times people have asked me "How much is a gigabyte?" Most people who aren't familiar with the ins and outs of technology have trouble quantifying things. I think that's why people still measure Gigbytes in "Songs". But I digress. You can tell the general public "8Mb/s" all day long and they'll still wonder why their download speed is only "1MB/s", and believe that they're being cheated out of the other 7.
  19. I think that may be more infuriating than just lowering the standards. Just because my ethernet network cable has the capability to run gigabit but I am still using 10/100 hardware doesn't mean I have a gigabit network.
  20. Haven't you heard? ITU standards don't mean anything when compared to whatever the heck the marketers want to call it. Pretty soon we'll be measuring our internet speeds in giga-watts, because it sounds cool and futuristic.
  21. Last I checked LTE doesn't even completely meet the original 4g standards. Didn't they lower the 4g standard so that it includes LTE/Wimax? I still say calling HSPA+ 4G is just plain lies.
  22. I was collecting Intel at the sprint store yesterday. According to the guys at the sprint store... the tech that was putting the LTE extender/transmitter in their back room said that they will be ready at latest September 1st.
  23. The entire thing is completely ridiculous. The patent is so vague it should have never been granted. What's even worse is the patent was filed in 1999. Did Apple even have anything remotely close to this in 1999? I wonder if I can patent "A method for high speed interstellar travel utilizing metallic craft."
  24. I need for music... suggestions?
