My phone normally locks b26 when it detects it and keeps it the rest of the time I'm connected to that site. Last week I was on a bogged down b26 and it actually shunted me over to b25 when I did airplane mode. It was weird because... Well it's b26 lol. I think the issue has since been resolved. Now if only they would adjust the down-tilt!

I find myself on b26 a lot myself. I kept my old radio when I updated to 4.4.3 on my nexus so I can have coverage over speed. Maybe later down the line when b26 is more widespread I'll use the new radios.

Now I don't recommend this but I have found that if you run continuous speed test while on band 26 your phone will only switch between band 26 sites. Every site in my city is band 26 and the coverage is good I was tricked because the network will keep you on band 25 sometimes even when band 25 is congested

I will keep that in mind but I don't run speed test anymore. Are you using the new radio to run these test?

I am talking about how long it is taking for the network, and also I been having ecsfb issues for more than a couple months now.
Sprint isn't the only carrier that has problems. They just don't have sites out there like s4gru to point them out to you.

Anyone here in Jacksonville with a nexus 5 have any success staying connected to band 41 with the new update?

Its all over Florida now coverage is about to skyrocket
I wonder is Robert going to get any information about band 26 acceptance is in Florida.

I think whatever the outcome is sprint should change their name to Softbank USA anyway.

I'd go with the Nexus 5.

Sounds like a long wait. Maybe not since band 26 is spreading like a plague.
I get b25 and b26 with no prob. Band 41 is a different story. Even with .13 I still wasn't receiving b41 like I thought I would.
My thinking was that the device would connect to b41 majority of the time and drop down to b25 and b26 when b41 is loaded.
What really happens is i'm on b25 most of the time. I'm connecting to b26 more and b41 probably 1% of the time even with this being a spark market.

Solution found. At the cost of no voice.

I'll wait until the network matures more.

Even on LTE only mode?
I've never tried LTE only.

.13 radio in LTE only mode is a very good performer.
One of the things I didn't like about that radio was that when losing b41 signal it would automatically drop down to 3g vs going to b25 or b26 when it's available.

Has anyone had this happen? This usually happens on LTE when I connect to a site with ecsfb issues but this happened on 3g.
-
I have a site that's about two miles from my house I'm picking up 1x 800 but the signal is about 3db better from the same site as 1x 1900.
Could there be too much down tilt on it at the moment?

I'm getting very slow speeds on b26.
Very weird.

That is weird.

With all the radio talk. Has anyone noticed an increase in battery life?

In order for a site to be launched with b25, it must have upgraded backhaul. Or at least that's what I think i've read a couple hundred times.
Yeah but they probably only order enough bandwidth for the 3 band 25 sectors and EVDO.
Band 25 and 26 is probably running on 100mbps of bandwidth which is not enough.

Got B26 at the Arena today, but the signal was worse than B25 (not sure if they were coming from the same tower) and the speeds were terrible. The arena was packed and the baseball grounds were as well. B25 was much faster.
I'm starting to think that the back haul to the site the speed haven't been upgraded yet.

No I'm saying there is csfb issues so .13 won't connect. .15 bypasses csfb
Yeah I know I was using .13 all day yesterday didn't like my results so I went back to .15

The new Nexus update didn't enable Spark? What?
Sent from my LG-LS980
It enabled spark but the signal strength is a lot weaker than any other baseband to me. Also I find myself stuck on 3g a lot. Most people in the n5 thread says its because of ecsfb but Jacksonville is largely 3g complete. So I flashed back to .15 and connecting to band 25 and band 26 with no probs. I usually connect to b41 in areas where b25 and band 26 is weak or absent.

.15. The .13 won't connect to band 26

.13 sux I can't believe I waited all this time for a new modem and its the worst one of all. So I'll be rocking .15 forever. ????????????

Best sprint band 26 speed test

Are those results with the new modem that was released 4. 4. 3?

Download Google voice and set it up to use for voicemail (you don't need a gv #). Then there a check box within gv that says "view and display voice mails from the phone call log". Now you can get VM notifications and listen to your VM without ever opening up gv.

Works like a champ

You mean like this?

Do you get that notification after a voicemail? Or is that the one that gets stuck after a while?

That happens a lot and when the phone loses b41 it drops straight to 3g when b25 and b26 is also available.
