  1. IIRC, Nokia is starting it's B41 rollout sometime in July when the new 8T8R panels become available. B41 is already pretty dense in Downtown Jax using old Clearwire Sites.

Is sprint and Nokia coming out and replacing the old clear equipment with the new 88ers or are they going to collocate on existing sprint sites that has no b41 at all then go back later on and swap out clear equipment?

  2. I doubt Verizon was struggling. They have x LTE over there. My friend mark went there last week and Verizon was 9-15mbps the whole time. I was like wow. You have to remember Verizon is way ahead of Sprint on adding extra capacity for now anyway.

Speaking of xLTE I haven't seen any work going on but yet Jacksonville is a launched market.

Are their old panels multi mode?

  3. A lot of my family and close friends switched to TMO in the last few months and literally every single one of them hate it. It's funny because we can never get ahold if them and when we do, their calls constantly drop, not to mention sound like total shit. Most are in the Jax market, but some are not.

How anybody can defend TMO and totally diss Sprint is beyond me, especially now that Sprint has B26, 1X800 and B41 as well as B25 active in most places (especially around this market). My service rocks and rivals my Verizon service everywhere.

Sprint service is straight beast mode now. Especially since band 26 and CDMA 800 is spreading like wild fire. I've been getting little blips of CDMA 800 in clay county where I work. So as soon as its fired up in clay county I'll be completely happy.

  4. Man it's amazing how far Jacksonville has come. The service from Sprint is awesome almost everywhere I go I get reception either LTE or CDMA 800. Every place that was a dead zone is now being filled in. Sprint is definitely turned their coverage around now they need to get a better marketing team to advertise it. I would hate for them to buy tmobile and have to integrate networks after their network has come so far.

  5. Just had another forced prl/profile update.

Also got a forced PRL update overnight. Woke up to find the screen just sitting on, which is somewhat annoying; who knows how long ago it happened.

What is the deal with these forced updates?

Same here keeps changing my scan priorities.

  6. I work on UNF campus by Kernan and the service here is horrible. I've been roaming all day with 1x. Anybody else in this area having issues?

Service there is horrible all the time, or just today? If its only today its possible they are either upgrading your nearest tower, or there is an outage.

Every time I've ever been to UNF the service was bad.

  7. Good to hear! Sprint has come A LONG way in the last two years.

My wife gets lots of B26 on her iPhone 5C. I'm probably going to wait for the LG G3 and jump back over to Android next month, so Tri-band is in my future, I just hope Sprint gets the eCSFB issue on B26 under control by then. I would have bought a TriBand phone sooner if it weren't for the eCSFB issues people are still experiencing.

Seems like sprint is working on it. I'm running my nexus 5 on the .15 which ignores eCSFB issues but disables phone calls. Over the past week everywhere I've been that wouldn't let my make calls on band 26 has been cleared up.

So by the time you purchase your G3 you should be fine.
