  1. Could it be that maybe it is being sent out by Sprint? I mean Sprint has their database of phones that are active on it's network, just like the update that went out to the N7 for Verizon. Just a thought...? I understand Google sends out the update, but if it's carrier specific then Sprint might be having a say in this, me thinks. -Luis
  2. I would like to know this as well... Too bad no one has replied with any insight. I can definitely say that on Tmo, the Nexus 5 does very well holding on to signal inside buildings. -Luis
  3. Wine and cheese doesn't expire it only gets better with age ;D Can I be wine and cheese? I'm a poor college student! Also, safe travels! -Luis
  4. I probably sound like a noob, but why put the gain in negative? -Luis
  5. Thank you for the advice. I actually have revision 40 installed.. So far, honestly, the battery life isn't that great. Everyone online says they get about 4 hours of screen on time. I got 2.5 (which is what I normally get), but I'll give it another day or two. I do love being able to make the speaker and headphones louder. I have come to love the more real colors of the N5, and I used to love the HTC One (M7) screen. -Luis
  6. Yeah i restarted the device and the colors went back to normal. I found some hideous profiles. Why any one wants colors that are ridiculously blown out is beyond me. Thank you! I found it! Now I know for next time. -Luis
  7. Crap. I started messing around with the color profile and now I can't set it back to normal. I tried restarting the N5 and erasing the app and reinstalling but nothing. How do I reset the color profile to the regular nexus5 colors? -Luis
  8. Does it affect updates and I have xposed installed with a couple of other apps that require root access. Any interference with that? -Luis
  9. Is there any special way of flashing a kernel? And what exactly does flashing a kernel do? (I googled it but it all sounds really complicated) -Luis
  10. I was only joking! It would be funny if that was the reason -Luis
  11. Hmmm. If I read this correctly, it's also the same reason why when you post something on Facebook it redirects you first to a bit.ly redirecting page. It tracks this to know where the link got clicked (IIRC), it's all part of statistics, and it helps tailor certains ads and/or links to other websites for the things you seem to like. IDK why tapatalk would do it, but that might be an answer. -Luis
  12. Maybe the reason the N5 hasn't received the Spark update is because Sprint wants the data logo to be the spinning Wal-Mart thing, and Google just wants it to be the regular LTE symbol...? -Luis (trolling btw, but an amusing thought)
  13. Nope. The last one I had was the glass one and it cracked -Luis
  14. That's interesting. I can probably recreate it later when I get home. I'll take a video of it if it happens. -Luis
  15. Put the what? Also if this happens it will be interesting to see how Google will make money from it, or how their pricing structure will be. -Luis
  16. Are you using non-polarized sunglasses? It happens all the time to me with the N5 in landscape mode. -Luis
  17. This happens with the N5 as well, and it used to happen with the original One. I tried out a test model and it happened in landscape mode, just the like n5. -Luis
  18. Just my 2 cents. I don't like this new One over the old One. Too long, too iPhone 3g-ish, not enough cowbell... -Luis
  19. HTC should make an mp3 player that looks like the small thing on the Gluuv... I would buy it lol xD -Luis
  20. Here's a video to make some of you cringe: -Luis
  21. Ok, well it's good to know I'm not the only one. It seems to have stopped now. Strange that YouTube would act up like that. -Luis
  22. Anyone been having issues with YouTube draining the battery? I put my phone to charge last night at 31% and woke up this morning at 15%. I thought maybe I didn't set it correctly, but under the battery stats it shows that it was charging all through the night. YouTube has taken up about 20% of my battery. I rebooted but the phone is still charging extremely slow. Any input would be nice. -Luis
  23. Hmm, I'll try it out next time I'm throttled down again. And I'm a little out of it atm so maybe I'm not making much sense. But even when throttled when doing speed test the ping times are normally 52ms. -Luis
  24. I think you're referring to the Free Tablet Data. After 200mb they do not throttle you, they cut you off (IIRC). So yeah refilling is the only way to go. On their smartphone basic plans is where you have "unlimited" data, but throttled after a certain amount, unless you're truly unlimited high speed. -Luis P.S. I apologize for all the replied I've made, I should have multiquoted.
  25. The ping times on LTE are much faster than EDGE, normally around 52ms. I haven't tried on EDGE but I can imagine it's much higher cause of the nature of the technology. -Luis
