  1. I'm sure they'd love the ads revenue by posting about it, which leads me to think they havent posted about it just because they cant...

Sounds plausible. It's gotten a little boring because there are no new leaks or anything. I love reading rumor sites.

And I am surprised that no one has called out whoever said there would be no new hardware. But the more I think about it, the more you make sense.

  2. So while everyone is infatuated with the G2, I'm surprised no one has posted anything about this leak.

It's for a supposed LG G Flex, the antithesis of the Galaxy Round (cause the curve is from up to down).

I think it's interesting, but it's still a concept. Maybe they will release this by November if the rumors are to be believed.

    Any thoughts?

P.S. If you want a good laugh, the comment section is hilarious!

  3. Yeah but the majority of laptops even the most expensive do not have the 5ghz frequency built in. N is not that impressive on the 2.4 band at all. My router is in the living room and I can barely connect outside but on the 5ghz band I can. WiFi AC signal can go even further than WiFi on the N 5ghz frequency so that would be very useful to me

I don't understand people fixation on being able to use wifi 100's of feet from their house.

But I do get your point about being able to use it in your own house.

Regardless, I have U-verse and my wifi router (the U-verse one) actually reaches from my apartment (2nd floor) all the way to my car (on the other side of the street, about 50 some feet away). So if it uses ac or b or Jay-z, it works.

I forgot where I was going with this.

  4. Our Google Fusion Maps are spreadsheet based. I export from the database as a spreadsheet and import into Fusion Tables which turns it into the map.

Super, super simple! (Sandra Lee voice)

I may not know much about maps, but I really like the new maps compared to the old ones. They load fast and the scrolling is very smooth.

(My two very insignificant cents cause I don't know about maps)

  5. It's really disheartening every time I walk into a t-mobile store and every phone is on LTE, while I'm on 3G with sprint.

    One day... :P

On the other hand though, while driving around my 3G data is getting better, but voice and texts have really taken a nosedive. Anyone else experiencing the same?

  6. This thread should be renamed to: "Does the G2 have bands 26 & 41, and ac wifi? Let's annoy AJ"

Regardless, I finally got to play around with the phone. I'm spoiled by the build quality of my One, but I will say that it has a gorgeous screen. The button placement is extremely awkward, but Knock On helps with that.

I really dislike the skin. It's too white and retro looking for me. I like sense and my nexus 7, it's simple and light. And I love the dark themes.

For others, don't knock (on?) it, till you try it :D I'm sure there are other people that will get accustomed to the buttons in the back. Just like how I got used to HTC's two button thing for home and back.

P.S. Did you know that T-mobile uses these industrial looking clamps on their phones? They destroy the phones by tightening them so hard. Even the HTC One was crushed on the sides.

  7. Yeah I bought at least a dozen kitkats in the last 2 weeks. Racking up the Google play credits.

I want google monies. I haven't found a single one that gives you google play credit. Where have you been finding yours?

  8. I'm debating leaving sprint too. Unfortunately it's beyond frustrating to never get calls through. I've tried redailing numbers 4, 5 or even 6 times and it still won't connect. I have service, even with full bars. The data is getting better, but their voice and sms services are becoming so bad it's unbearable.

Glad to hear that T-mo has great service down here. I'll be jumping back soon to T-mo (plus I'll pay less for service).

  9. They've definitely got the development and nerd community worked up.  They'll have to invest a bit into marketing for the average user, though.  But I prefer the way Google's doing it and it's actually funny that KitKat has given them as much publicity as they have, for a "no-money involved" agreement between the two.

It's worked in favor of KitKat. I've had two in the past two weeks, and considering it's been probably a good 2+ years since I've had a KitKat, it's definitey working.

But yes, that is a lot of free publicity for Google in this deal. The benefits go both ways, IMO.

  10. Because Nestle tweeted this image BWsNe5QIMAA58Qe.jpg

the latest rumor is October 28th because the Michael Jackson film "This Is It" came out on 10/28/09 and C&C Music Factory apparently used to be known as The 28th Street Crew. Take it for what you will. I think it's a bit of a stretch but at least the 28th is more likely than this Friday, which I don't believe.

This logic is way too funny. Talk about looking into a crystal ball xD

  11. Oh, so it's not just Google saying I need a little more gay in my life? Google seems like the company to do something like that, honestly.

It's probably cause of the tags on the apps. But who knows, maybe google is giving you a hint. Maybe google wants to wine and dine you or something!

  12. Yeah, no kidding. I'm not sure if it's giving me results based on my, ah, web history, but,

    30tqvr4.jpg

Those were the only apps that came up, and that last result...

Looololol. I tried this too, and it gave me the same results xD

But I'm in the same boat, can't find it anywhere!

  13. The fact that this phone is a triband is a huge plus for me, but i'm always concerned about the reception. After getting burned by the evo lte I'll wait until I read on some user experiences on voice and data reception. The fact that there is an antenna visible in photos on the inside cover doesn't sit well with me either...

You could see the antenna connector on the inside cover for the EVO LTE.

If anything you could just ignore it pretend it doesn't exist :P
