Agreed. So it seems, Sprint is the operator that can do no right, while VZW craps gold nuggets. AJ

(UPDATED) All for HTC One, HTC One for all?
WiWavelength commented on WiWavelength's blog entry in The Wall
What do you mean by "different"? A micro-SIM is a micro-SIM. AJ -
Yes, and this is true of most/all smartphones. AJ

Good work, leerage. Yes, let us hope that the final build retains the engineering screens (or that the FieldTrial.apk can be sideloaded from the EVO LTE to the One). AJ

That is not so bad. If you like, I can make it worse... 1985 World Series. Game 6 in Kansas City. I was just a little boy, but I was at the game. AJ- 8,814 replies

Should Sprint just acquire US Celluar
WiWavelength replied to IamMrFamous07's topic in General Topics
...or go bowling. AJ -
Not a very apt parallel. The EVO LTE was a great handset at the time in many respects. But who claimed that the EVO LTE is a great RF performer? Not S4GRU. AJ
-
Engadget, in this case, has bad info, plain and simple. Domestically, the Sprint variant is authorized for only Cellular, PCS, and SMR. AJ
-
Where do you see that? Not here, I guarantee because it is wrong. AJ
-
No, that will not work. The Sprint variant HTC One does not support GSM 850/1900 nor W-CDMA 850/1900. See my article: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-342-updated-all-for-htc-one-htc-one-for-all/ AJ

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth share the same unlicensed ISM 2400 MHz spectrum. If Wi-Fi and Bluetooth operated simultaneously from different antennas within the same small device, they could cause catastrophic interference with one another. AJ
-
No, EV-DO 800 is not in the plans. Sprint does not have enough SMR 800 MHz bandwidth for CDMA1X, EV-DO, and LTE. AJ
-
It is inside the device body, clipped or soldered to the board and not readily removable. AJ
-
Indeed, you got it right. And I am going to bet that is some info you learned at this great repository of knowledge known as S4GRU. AJ
-
So many people get this wrong. CDMA1X voice/data is 3G. EV-DO data is also 3G. AJ
-
The Galaxy S2 is a WiMAX 4G handset. No LTE. AJ
-
If you are a typical youngster always listening to music or watching videos and cannot keep your handset in your pocket for more than five minutes, then you are an easy mark. AJ
-
For LTE service, yes. The micro-SIM will come with the phone -- as it has with all LTE phones. But this micro-SIM will not be embedded. AJ
-
That someone would have to be overseas. AJ
-
This is hardly uncommon. It is a limitation of many cellphones. Look at all of the FCC OET articles that I have written. Note in how many devices the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas are shared. AJ
-
Actually, various Apple iOS devices and the Kyocera Torque already claimed the removable SIM mantle, but the inclusion in the HTC One is still momentous. AJ
