Just watch what happens if AT&T/Verizon tries to offer a similar offer or even Sprint. T-Mobile will cry foul and the FCC will crack down on them for NN violations in a heartbeat. People with data caps are still conservative with their data even through the holidays. And yes, part of what you are saying is right, people will use more, so I can probably contribute 25-45% of the congestion on travelers/shoppers using their phones more. We will just have to see how things are after the first of the year when school is back in and adults are back at work, but I think you'll find it'll still be pretty bad in the end. Exactly. If BingeOn wasn't created, no one would want to spend 3/4 of their billing cycle on 2g speeds, so they were extra conservative. This whole BingeOn concept will never work past the concept point because wireless is too finite of a resource for that much traffic. That's why I called it the biggest mistake of the decade. If it continues to congest the network, people will go elsewhere. And I suppose that many people are skipping wifi at home now that BingeOn makes most of their videos free, adding further congestion to the network. I can't see why it won't. The program was extended to the end of the year, so it should be fine.

But check this out, when they changed the map, they optimized the site and I now get more "dots" in my house than I did before. My phone would be 2-3 dots, and now it's 3-4. It's really weird. The Sprint employees are baffled about it. Unfortunately, I still don't have LTE, and they have already installed the microwave back haul links for each site in Pahrump.
